I stayed three days. The hotel was clean and normal. The beds were hard, but clean. The bathroom was in serious need of updating, but worked just fine. Other than that it was a comfortable stay with a nice staff. I also was pleasantly surprised to see that the small breakfast served had bagels and waffles - I was expecting nothing but doughnuts! Great location - I was close to everything!

There were plenty of blankets on the bed. Bathroom was small, needed extra pillow. Hotel personal was friendly checking in and out. Inexpensive.

We stayed at Econo Lodge of Rome, NY in july-2007, It was a nice and comfortable stay, affordable rates. This hotel offers Free breakfast in the morning, also free long distance phone calls, high-speed internet access , the new furniture fixture, comfortable beds, carpeting, every this was new,the new Owner put lots of money to upgrade this place, the staff was very friendly and helpful. our room was very clean. I must stay this is the only cleanest and safe hotel in downtown-Rome, is located 8.00 miles from Turning Stone Casino and just next to Fort Stanwix.I will stay again.

The price and that's it ! Cold bathroom, bad location of bathroom. Plus the room took all day to warm up. Also ice machine didn't work. I just didn't care for it and will not go back thank you.

We satyed at the Econolodge for four days so that we had easy access to the nearby Turningstone Casino(10 mins away). We checked in late at night and were greeted at the front desk with a smile. The room was clean and pleasant. We were concerned when we discovered a railroad running behind the motel. However during our four day stay no trains passed through. The hotel was fully booked when we arrived and we would recommend that you should create a reservation if you are intending staying at the motel on a weekend in the summer months. The room was clean and well equipped with a coffee machine, iron, ironing board, hair dryer, fridge freezer and a microwave!! High speed wireless interent is also provided(not that we used it).We received a free breakfast in the morning which saved a few bucks and some time!Nice rooms and staff- just remember to reserve when staying during the weekend or during the summer season. We stayed at the rome motel and quality inn in Rome too. The Rome Motel offers very cheap rooms which are filthy and rather shabby. The quality inn is slightly better but charges too much. The rooms are outdated and theres no free breafast- as stated in the brochure!!The econolodge is by far the best motel in downtown Rome and i would recommend it to anyone inteneding on visiting the turningstone casino. The casino is great place to wind down and have some fun- be sure to stop by.Good Motel Overall.

This was the best Econo Lodge that I have spent a night in. The bed was excellent, even though I had a bad back from driving. This place was very quiet, although I did have trepidations when I looked out the window and saw railroad tracks going by 8 feet from my room. But no trains use those tracks now, so that pleased me. I do have a suggestion: A small wattage night-light in the bathroom to find my way there in the middle of the night.

The room was big enough. The bloody hand print stains on the wall and the loud banging noise all night. Well to start out when we arrived in the room and we were relaxing the light came on by its self. There were bloody hand print stains on the wall. There was no refrigerator, hair dryer or iron & iron board. The beds were too hard. The last night of our stay there was loud door banging noises until 1:30 am. The lotion and shampoo had been used.

This hotel I must say needs more improvements!! the new owners have done a good job yet it is still lacking the feeling of being safe in the room. There were locals hanging around the rooms late at night. I did not stay the night and went across the street to a sucure hotel

The staff was very friendly and fixed the bathroom problem by giving us another room. The bathroom was dirty. Hairs in the tub. The staff of quick to resolve the dirty bathroom issue and were very friendly. The siding was buckled and dingy. The bathroom fixtures were of harvest gold from the 70's, and everything was worn. I wouldn't stay there again.

The stairways were unlevel and unsafe, and we did not get our beds made. The room was clean, but had many areas that needed fixing. The lobby was very small, and although they offered breakfast, it was congested, and they only offered bagels, waffles, and Danish. There was no milk to be found.

The Econo Lodge was very clean and the staff is very courteous. The refrigerator/microwave is plugged in an outlet that is controlled by the entrance light switch. The Food gets warm if switch is off. I had a very pleasant stay at the Rome Econo Lodge. The hotel/housekeeping staff were nice and accommodatingly to my needs. I was there for a week and had no issues with the facility.

Friendly and wanted to be helpful. Non working air conditioner, couldn't get a coffee maker. Room was ok if you were only going to be there to shower and sleep.

Clean, staff in evening wasvery helpful. Very thin towels. Hotel staff in the evening was very helpful. Breakfast not ready till 8 am, lobby locked. Anyone staying should just plan on going to Denny's just up the street within walking distance. Rooms were very clean.
