Not having more breakfast to choose from. The hotel was fine, but getting into the hotel was bad.
Date of Stay:
November, 2007
Had to Access, Good location for RT Jones Trail Golf, but not much else. Internet Access was terrible, toliet backed up once, carpet was stained badly. Breakfast OK, Shower water never got real hot, but the sink was very hot---go figure. I wouldn't stay here again even at the price of $64.00 plus Birmingham tax of $11.00. DRIVE TO THE NEXT EXIT, AND STAY THERE.

The hotel was well kept. The hotel was older but has been kept up well. Clean sheets, soft white towels, hot shower. What else can you ask for in a hotel of this level. I would stay here again, safe area, clean room, good management.

"first I asked for a smoking room got there no ashtray. I asked several time for one, the girl kept saying she would have someone bring it to me. No one ever did. second, My son went swimming in the very outdated pool and cut his foot.....not bad but bad enough for him not to want to swim anymore"

It was clean. Nothing really. Hotel was nice, not fair from downtown area. Outside appearance was nice. I would recommend it to anyone that is on a budget and want to stay at decent hotel.

"I travel a lot for business, and have never come across such a distrurbing hotel room. There was no cable, no internet, and worst of all, There was a used condom next to the couch. I checked out of the hotel right away. The person at the front desk seemed to not really care, like that sort of thing is quite common in that hotel. Disgusting, is the only word that I can come up with to discribe this hotel. Those that are looking at this hotel for a night or two, I suggest you chose another hotel in the surrounding area."

Easy to find. Not very light, curtains did not close. The only restaurant close to the hotel was a waffle house. Hotel was evidently very old. Room was depressing.

This place is convienently located to downtown Birmingham to allow for quick access to the major antique shops on 2nd and 7th streets. It's only one exit north of Lakeshore drive which has plenty of good places to eat. I'd definitely stay here again and recommend it to my friends.

Nothing. Nothing. The bathroom didn't work. There were several homeless people sleeping at the hotel lobby! Will never go back there again.

"Room was not filthy, but carpet was so dirty that walking around barefoot for 5 minutes generated black feet. Bath tub stopper was broken, hairs behind door on floor in bathroom. Stayed two days. Maid service made beds, but left coffee pot uncleaned and curtins open showing our suitcases on the beds. "

Very adequate and comfortable no complaints. The restaurants surrounding the hotel were nothing special. Good hotel, especially if passing through.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Didn't get to stay any longer, due to time restraints. An excellent time for me. Comfortable and convenient to my meetings.
Date of Stay:

Room deodorizer was used and this is bad. Hotel was ok, but overpriced for this type of hotel--there was not sufficient food for 2nd morning. And, room deodorizer was used which is very bad for allergies.

It served our purpose for our trip to Birmingham very well. Getting into the entrance was tricky. All of our needs were provided and we were quite satisfied with the 4 nights we spent there.
Date of Stay:
March, 2007
It was basically clean. Outdoor appearance good. Hotel employee, manager ?, made us turn off our water so lines could be fixed. Could have waited until we checked out that morning. None of the selections applied to our trip. People travel for other reasons than pleasure or business.
Date of Stay:
October, 2006
Continental breakfast was nice. Carrying cooler and luggage up to the second floor via stairs.
Date of Stay:
August, 2006
This hotel had all the basic amenities: fitness room, continental breakfast, clean rooms, and pools. Good value. They only had 1 waffle maker for continental breakfast; this caused long waits for many.
