The Econo Lodge Hotel Old Town in Albuquerque was very comfortable. It got cold that night and the heater worked well. We were checked in right away. There were several local eateries nearby and the Mexican restaurant we chose was quite good. There was an iron and ironing board in the room, even though we didn't ask for one. The only complaint is that there is no way to close off the bathroom light from the sleeping area for someone who would rather sleep a bit longer in the morning.

The clerk who checked us in the first night went out of his way to make us comfortable! Overall we liked the hotel. It was conveniently located and good for the price. The night clerk who checked us in was extremely nice and helpful and went out of his way to make sure we had an excellent stay! But, when we returned home a few days later I checked my debit card statement. It showed a charge for the room we had rented for two nights. I had paid for the room on Priceline 2 weeks prior to the trip. When I called the hotel directly to get an explanation I was treated very rudely and told they never charged my card, even tough I had verified that the charge came direct from the hotel location. I asked to speak to a manager and was told I would have to wait for a call back there was no manager on duty. I called the hotels corporate headquarters and got the amount credited back on my account, but what a hassle!

Used as our base while visiting family and sight seeing. Gave us adjoining rooms which were clean, truly nonsmoking, and on ground floor, as requested. Staff was quick to help with internet connection (used laptop in lobby, as signal wasn't good in room, but manager was working to rectify problem) . Quiet at night, felt safe, adequate breakfast bar was repenished as needed, Staff is hardworking and quick to respond to requests, parking lot was frequently checked for litter. Close to Old Town, aquarium and botanical garden. Didn't use pool or or hot tub, but appeared clean and well-maintained. Would definitely stay there again, especially for the price paid online, as rack rate was much higher.

tHE LOCATION OF ECONO LODGE - OLD TOWN IS GREAT! IT IS ONLY ABOUT 2 BLOCKS FROM THE OLD TOWN PLAZA WHICH INCLUDES OLD ARCHITECTURE, AUTHENTIC RESTAURANTS, MANY SHOPS WITH HIGH QUALITY MERCHANDISE, AND MOST OF THE CITY MUSEUMS - EVERYTHING WITHIN EASY WALKING DISTANCE. IN ADDITION, THE STAFF WAS FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL, THE ROOM WAS CLEAN AND COMFORTABLE AND THE CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST VERY ADEQUATE.

Very close to many attractions. This was a nice, economic place to stay. Nothing fancy, but the staff was friendly and the location was perfect for all the activities we had planned. Zoo, Aquarium, Botanical Gardens, Natural History Museum and Children's Museum were all within walking distance, or at most a very short drive from the hotel.

I only needed a one night stay and the Econo Lodge met my expectations. The staff was very accommodating when the non-smoking room given to me was not smoke-free and they were glad to give me a new room on the 1st floor. It was clean and decent for the price. Skip the free breakfast unless you enjoy maybe juice or coffee but the rest wasn't looking too fresh. There was only one vending machine for drinks but there is a McDonalds and gas station right next door. Location is excellent for Old Town and Downtown area. I would stay here again.

The Econo Lodge Old town was a very pleasant place to stay on my recent trip to Albuquerque. It was within walking distance of Albuquerque's Old Town and major highways were nearby and easily accessable to reach other area locations. The staff was unbelievably friendly and helpful. I felt very welcome there as opposed to the indifference of many hotels. There are a variety of restaurants within walking distance or a short drive. I'll definitely stay there again the next time I'm visiting Albuquerque.

Walking distance to most things I went to see. The motel was walking distance to tourist attractions and the bus stop. The room was very clean. The indoor pool was nice and warm, very clean as well and the hot tub was the perfect temperature. The bottom line is there is nothing fancy here, but its clean and comfortable.

The Old Town location was very centralized. It allowed us to get places quick. The staff was polite and profesional. I would stay at this location again !

My wife and I almost always stay at the Old Town Econolodge when visiting Albuquerque. We enjoy the consistently friendly and helpful staff and the hotel's close proximity to Old Town. Rooms are always clean, quiet, and reasonably priced. The hotel is within easy walking distance to numerous restaurants, the Rio Grande River Park, and Old Town Albuquerque.

Staff was courteus. Next to Old Town. Dirty, smelly food at breakfast had stale cereal setting out in containers.

No coffee pot in room, pillows are bad, awful. Continental breakfast? We chose the motel for the location near Old Town, but wouldn't stay there again. Most of the rooms were rented to construction workers

This hotel was not in a very safe part of town. Thank goodness there was a McDonald's two buildings down. The downtown area was a distance, and I could tell this wasn't a smart area for a family to walk around. Otherwise, the good thing, my son had left his necklace with them and after sending them a self-addressed/stamped envelope they promply returned it to us.

Convenient location. Indoor pool looked dirty. Good inexpensive motel in an excellent location close to tourist areas in Albuquerque. Pool needs a good cleaning. We did not go in because it did not look inviting. Very cloudy.

Area is safe and well lit. Room was clean, but had to ask for more than 3 towels. Sheets aren't very soft. Breakfast isn't great, but at least has edible food. Wireless connection is iffy, and if you can't get a connection, they are more than willing to rent you a cable for 3...defeats the purpose of ""free"" wireless. Good deal for the price though. Nice to be within walking distance of Old Town and Aquarium. Would stay there again.

The pool was perfect. It was cool and clean. Doing laps in the morning relaxed me so much, I want to return to that very hotel again soon. The breakfast bar could be better. They could buy Einstein bagels and quality bread, and not use Styrofoam bowls or plates. Aside from the breakfast bar, it was an excellent place to stay with a great staff and awesome facilities. The location was perfect as well. I was very pleased.

beds are awful. Half the pillows are actually sofa cushions. A/C barely works.
