Date of Stay: June, 2009

Please do not make your reservations at the Econo Lodge on Rainbow Boulevard. We had reservations for June 30 & July 1, 2009. When we arrived on June 30th, we found cigarette ashes in the commode, dirt in the bathtub and dried substance on the blanket (it resembled dried semen) that was hard and crusty. The beds were not very comfortable. When we laid down on the mattresses, you sank down in them and they smelled very musty. The door did not secure—there was a huge gap between the door and the facing that could easily been opened from the outside. The entire hotel had a very bad unclean smell. Their continental breakfast consisted of three varieties of boxed cereal and spoiled milk.

This hotel is somewhat above average in the Niagara Falls area. The hotel is pretty clean and rooms are large. Not a bad place to have rest at. The hotel is located in the middle of industrial zone (we stayed during weekend so the factory across the road was quiet) and within 1 mile of shopping area. This hotel offers fair value for its class and price.

The Staff was amazing and helpful! The breakfast selections - would have liked some fruit. The staff was amazingly helpful! They even helped my son and I look for his ring he lost by the pool. When we wanted to venture out, the staff was helpful by printing out directions and making suggestions. I would stay they again!

NOTE: there are several EconoLodge hotels in Niagara Falls, this one is the good one - 5919 Niagara Falls Boulevard. Booked several rooms here with friends for an event nearby in April 09. (One of us had stayed here before and recommended it.) The rooms looked (and smelled) brand new. (No funky smells and no strong perfume smell.) Big comfy beds, large rooms with good soundproofing, very friendly desk staff (I think some of them live upstairs from the lobby). Continental breakfast was completely competent. There's a little kiddy playground in the yard and an outdoor pool. (Saw someone cleaning the pool in the morning although it was not swimming weather.) The 2-year-old in our party liked the turtle who lives in an aquarium in the lobby; there's also a fish tank and brochures and souvenirs to look at. Since we had several rooms we called and got a group rate that was less than $50/night (off season), Just a bonus, this place was worth more! Plenty of family restaurants and other services within a mile or two on Niagara Falls Boulevard. We also drove to the Falls (US side) quite easily, about 3 miles away. I would absolutely stay here again or recommend this place to a friend.

The Econo Lodge met our basic needs. My only problem with the hotel was that one person in our group came home with a number of bug bites which appear to be from bed bugs. We did not see any bugs in the room. The hotel was not notified as the number of bites was not noticed until after we checked out.

I really loved the visitor center that was there. The staff was very eager to answer any of your questions and offer suggestions on things to do & see. This hotel was great! I would recommend it to anyone. It has been recently remodeled and was definitely worth the price. I would stay there again.

A very pleasant stay. The room was spotless. Friendly desk staff. Excellent service staff. The "Falls" water garden near the entrance is precious includes a "Maid of the mist" My 1 and only complaint was the extremely rough entrance to the parking lot.

The Econolodge in Niagara Falls was very comfortable, extremely clean, close to the falls, and an overall great place to stay. I wasn't completely sure about staying an Econolodge but this one was most undoubtedly worth every cent.

Convenient moderate hotel with basic amenities included. Pool and breakfast. Great basic accommodation w/pool and Continental. Breakfast. Clean and close to shopping and Niagara Falls tourist area.

At check in the Mgt's son raised the price per night. Asked for hanicap room and expected some kind of stool in bathroom. None.-- Daily tourist booth took up all the parking. Continerntal breakfast is great.

This EconoLodge was a great value. The location gave the ability to see the town as well as the attractions since it's right outside the 'tourist district'. I stayed in the winter, so the shuttles weren't running from the hotel to the Falls, but the drive was short and pleasant. The front desk staff were unprofessional, however, and seemed to be preoccupied with everything but helping guests. The continental breakfast was pretty run-of-the-mill: cereal, bagels, danishes, milk, juice, coffee. Not a bad hotel, but probably won't stay there again.

Friendly staff. Outdoor pool wasn't heated/activity room wasn't ready. It was fine for a shopping spree weekend.

"This was the best hotels on the strip. We had a great time here and the continental breakfast was definetely a plus when traveling with children! One less meal you have to pay for! The kids loved the pool and the playground. They didn't even want to go anywhere else. The game room only had a few games to play, however the kids had alot of fun. I recommend this hotel to evryone. Nice clean rooms!"

Large room. Front desk staff. Great location for Cdn shoppers heading to Outlet mall and Amherst shopping. Large room (easily fit a playpen) and tiny bathroom. Playground for kids. Reasonably clean.

The toilet did not flush well at all. Cannot even handle toilet paper. One bed had stains on it.

Breakfast. Rude staff. It was ok and clean room. The wireless internet was neither working nor the cable. The staff was very rude when we called to see why cable and wireless were not working. When checking in the man was very cold (did not say thank you) also when leaving at 6.30am front was locked and over the speaker we were told to leave key in room, again no thank you. I don’t think I would stay again, mainly for the rudeness!

Free breakfast was kind good! There was a smell of smoke in the rooms and there wasn't any window. The room's carpet was kind dirty. It is not a bad hotel, for the price, the area it was fair. Anyway, the area don't have any better choice, I guess this hotel was the best around the area. The drive to get on the falls was fair around 5-6 miles, but the neighborhood wasn't that good.
