It was in a great location. It smelled musty and the carpet seemed very old. I liked the location right next to the Freeway and next to a quiet subdivision. It just wasn't very welcoming when you walked in the room. Smelled musty, the carpet was filthy. It looked as though to make it look better they threw a fresh coat of paint over everything. For the price I was expecting a little more up to date and fresh.

Staff was very responsive to my request. Very polite. Our room was labeled non-smoking, but reeked. It was okay for just a one night stop over.

The room smelled bad. Had stains on chairs and beds. Not much lighting. I guess I can say it was ..... OK.

Clerk was a good guy and tried to help. Barking dog next door, smoking room, door wouldn't open. Took four rooms to get one that was reasonable with no barking dog, non smoking, door that would open with the card.

Good location off highway. Did not like service from the counter, bad location for where we had to travel to from the motel. The young lady at the desk was watching television and had her bare feet on the desk when I approached her to ask a question. She knew nothing about the location of the hotel with nearby towns. She was barely more helpful than a rock and exhibited no business sense in her casual dress and manners. The breakfast waste basket was full and she made no attempt to clear it. Her main effort was to do as little as possible and she accomplished it.

Although we arrived late (11:00 p.m.) we were still treated very well. It was all good. We enjoyed staying at this hotel. It was easy to find, and we especially liked the breakfast being part of the package.

Clean and comfortable, excellent breakfast. I can't think of any thing I disliked. Maybe they need more cream cheese. The Motel is located right off the hwy easy off and easy on ramps. The rooms are clean. The staff is very knowledgeable about surrounding areas. The manger is always on site where you can talk to him for directions or other info you may need the coffee is great in the mornings with waffles, syrup and jam with cream cheese. They don't mind talking with you if you prefer company while you eat or they will let you eat alone if you prefer. They are very customer & pet friendly there in Maryville IL.

The night clerk was very helpful. It was cold. As an Econo Lodge, my expectations were not too terribly high, but this experience shot holes in any expectation I might have had, good or bad. The heat had not been on at all for some time and I wore my coat for most of the evening and the floor was cold the entire stay. Also, even though wireless internet access was stated as available, it didn't work in the room -I had to go to the lobby to connect. A hair dryer and iron would have been nice as well. but maybe I am asking too much.

The man checking us in was nice. Some of the furniture and such were a little threadbare, but it was all clean. Good budget hotel; a clean, comfortable place to crash for a few nights.
