The Econo-Lodge was well worn but very clean. The rooms were a very good size but a little dark. The staff was very freindly and knowledgeable about the area. We only used public transportation and the motel was very convienient to the bus stops we needed. I was a little taken aback about having to pay for coffee after breakfast hours. On the whole it was a good experiance and I will recommend the hotel to friends and family if in the Boston area.

The bed was extremely comfortable. The air conditioner randomly started leaking.

I'm not fussy when it comes to a room especially when traveling alone. I just want clean & decent. The room was not dirty but the location and the hallway to the room were atrocious. No outside view from the room- the window looked over the corridor. The Malden location was convenient to my family in the area but I would never stay there again.

It was close to the airport. The hotel was okay. Parking wasn't the greatest and definitely very accessible to the room I stayed in. There was confusion in the rooms vacancy once there and the prices were cheaper without having gone through Priceline. There were no iron & ironing board in the room and all they had were smoking rooms. The room smelled like an abandoned apartment, fortunately the window (barely) opened and the air conditioner didn't work very well either. I'm glad it was only for one night! The room reserved wasn't even available.

The Econo Lodge was dirty. The smell of the room was horrible. The door to the bathroom did not shut. The door to the room was almost falling off and someone got into the room on our first night. The only positive was that we did not spent a whole lot of time in the room.

Great bed, quality bedspread. A long way from railway. Internet not available except WiFi. Good room, great bed. Breakfast was adequate. A lengthy distance from Malden railway station. Good value in an expensive city.

The staff was very helpful with directions on how to get there since we did not have a car. Other than that it was a horrible experience. The neighborhood was practically a ghetto. The door to our room didn't bolt shut. There were gang signs written on the safe in our room. It appeared that someone forced open the bathroom door as it was broken. You have to take the "T" and then take a bus to get there and the bus drops you off next to a cemetery in a bad area. The pictures on the website are deceiving as this is a motel and the room was so tiny we could barely put our suitcases in it. I called travelocity and they refunded my money and got me out of there as I did not feel safe at all!!! I understand it's inexpensive, but it's not worth it. Also, it's no where near downtown Boston or the tea party ship.

I was in Boston for a low-budget research trip, and I needed someplace convenient that was pretty inexpensive. This place definitely fit the bill, as it was an easy drive from a nearby subway stop that had pretty inexpensive parking. Definitely no frills, and not luxurious, but the room was fairly clean and comfortable, and the neighborhood was safe. My only complaint was that I had booked a nonsmoking room, and this room smelled like smoke.

Close to the hospital and subway station. We had to go to Boston for medical reasons and this hotel was within our budget and close to the places we needed to be.

The pillows where the kind you find in nice hotels. Now onto everything else. This place does not fit the description of a two star hotel. The neighborhood is bad and very noisy. The thin walls of this place do nothing to dull the motor cycles, bus engines or loud car radios which pass constantly, or the sirens that pass at least every half an hour or so. This place is extremely run down as well. The curtain fell off when I opened it and I had to repair it. the carpet and walls are worn. small, no desk, run down.

Close to airport. HVAC was defective in first room. For an older hotel in a less than desirable neighborhood, it was very clean and comfortable. I was horrified by the first room we had, because of the HVAC issues. It was not useable. But the replacement was very nice.

Room was large. Stains on bed. It seems to be a shady area at night. It wasn't horrible but, it can be way nicer for the price.

The first room we stayed in smelled terrible...mildew and urine smell. I requested a new room, and it was better smelling except the floor was wet. The location is not easily accessible if you are planning to go into Boston. There is a bus from the train station, but it doesn't run all that regularly. The office staff was not helpful at all, and in fact misinformed me about the times for the bus, and I missed the last running bus from the station and had to wait for a cab anyway. There is only one eating establishment in the vicinity--a local diner, and it closes early on Sundays. If you do not have your own transportation, this is a terrible location. Would not stay here again, even though it is cheaper than the motels closer to Boston.

The area was far enough away from Boston, but close enough to travel too, without much driving. The view. Our view was looking at other hotel rooms. If you didnt close the curtin, others would be able to look right in. Also the AC didnt work. The hotel was clean, and the staff was helpful when it came to giving direcdtions. The view was horrible and there was no AC. It was 78 degrees in our room, at the end of October. It was conviently located close to Boston. About a 15 minute drive. So we like that.
