I really did not like the hotel! It had marks all over the wall like someone had been hitting it with something, wall paper coming off, repairs of it with square patches. it wasn't very clean. it was in a very unwelcoming neighborhood. it was supposed to be 7.6 miles from where i was going to my conferance but for some reason the cab ride cost me $36.00 ... that just doesn't add up to me.

It was quite. They didn’t have a bath Tub! I had a broken foot and could not bath. I was put on the second floor- and no bath tub! I asked for a lower bedroom and a tub and they didn’t give me either. Very disappointed in my stay.

The minute I walked into the room the stench smell of cigarette smoke hit me hard. My 7 yr old was with me and he had a hard time with the smell. I contacted front office and told them that I couldn't stay in that room because of my high risk pregnancy the smell was making me feel sick. They told me to call orbitz, I called orbitz and they said they spoke to the hotel and could not do anything about cancelling at this point. No one was willing to help me and I was not able to at least cancel the 2nd day. I had to buy air freshener and spray the room, leave all day, spray again to come back to sleep. The minute I woke up the smell was there again. It was on my things and clung to our clothes. The staff was not helpful and very rude. Never again will I find a hotel through a 3rd party, since neither took responsibility to help me.

Could get where everwe wanted in 10 minutes. Small area inside. Actually very nice and clean and not a lot of noise. Close to grocery store and small stores.

The good thing about the hotel was its location and nice breakfast. In the room phone was not working and no immediate action was taken to repair that.

Closer to the freeway, stores, gas stations and restaurants. Sheets were not clean. Smoke from other rooms was carried to the room. Small room. Small amount of breakfast and it was gone by 8:30 am. No lobby. This hotel is more of a Motel6 kind of place. Lots of noise coming from adjacent Home Depot and Shopping plaza. Room was small, sheets and towels seemed to have been run in the dryer without been washed. The staff was not friendly. They kept saying this is what we have.

Its not a hotel, its a motel...no lobby, no pool, no entrance, no food, out of town, simple, clean, good for one night

Clean, accommodating, show good, bed was OK, fast food was nearby, 10 miles East of San Diego and WiFi was free.

This motel was convenient to our desired destination. The room charge was reasonable. It is obvious the proprietors have attempted to upgrade their facility; it is in generally good repair and there are a few nice touches. However, their housekeeping staff could use additional training and there could be more attention to detail when it comes to cleaning. The amenities were acceptable and the linens clean and of good quality. Their complimentary breakfast had limited choices and was somewhat spartan. Overall, it was a decent place to stay and suited our purposes.

Very quite. Dirty and old. The hotel seems to have needed a little work. Paint was chipping and floors not moped. Room smelled really bad like cigarettes.

This hotel was nice and very clean and updated new fixtures everywhere. Hotel staff not that friendly but who really cares this hotel was nice and great price.

Very comfortable bed. Unpleasant odor in room. I would recommend this hotel only for business travelers or people that wanted an inexpensive place to sleep. The entrance to the hotel could only be accessed from the westbound lane and it was also very narrow almost collided with vehicles on several occasions. The non smoking room I slept in had cigarette burns in the sheets. But the bed was very comfortable.

If your a budget conscious vacationer who looks for the best value for your dollar, so your hard earned money can also go for great sightseeing and everything else you want to do on a vacation...Then this Econolodge is perfect. New Beds, new Decor, right off major parkways that access you easily to Downtown San Diego (especially if like me you dont like staying within the city)when I travel I like to get a feel of the surroundings. Check in was quick convienient and accomodating. Everything was right outside my door including a huge discount supermarket, the best prices on food, snacks, drinks, liquor...saved alot of money being that the room had a roomy new fridge and microwave. I traveled the pacific coast highway and stayed at several places and this was one of the best surprises.

It was dirty. We found little curly hair in our bed before we even laid in it. Luckily we only had to stay there for one day. It was absolutely horrible. We had to put our own towels on the floor to walk around and then threw our towels away. The man in the office who help us check-in was very rude and the maid service was rude as well. We felt very unsafe with another person who was staying there because he was watching everything we did. We will never stay again.
