Location convenient to event sight. Smell of smoke in the rooms. This hotel is more like a motel and should charge motel prices.

This motel services a certain traveler- males looking for a cheap place to crash. I didn't see one female or other children. Anyone else- beware. It was so bad that by the time continental breakfast was finished, most of the cars in the parking lot were gone. It was hard to get to but the sign was visible from the street. Once we pulled up to the entrance, we exclaimed, "We drove two hours from the gulf for this!" It was a big letdown from our previous accommodations.The neighborhood looked so seedy and dark that we didn't want to venture out late at night to get food. These were the best things though- nice toiletries (but they ran out at the front desk); modern, (but not private) business center; softest, cleanest sheets; fluffiest towels; beautiful old world lobby and dining room; convenient kitchen area in room; well lit room; separate sink from bathroom (but not one in the bathroom); staff willing to credit me my frequent stay points a week later because I forgot my card at check-in; and generous and appealing continental breakfast spread. Unfortunately, the bad overshadows the good and would turn leisure travelers off. But once you get inside, it's pretty good but not as good as other hotels in this price range. It should have been about 10-20 less per night.

Good location. Toilet & AC hardly worked, asked for more towels but did not get, hotel was overbooked even with reservation confirmations/friends had to go elsewhere. Hotel was overbooked even with reservation confirmation #'s friends had to go elsewhere to another hotel. I had called 4 days before check-in and the hotel knew they were overbooked due to Internet bookings and obviously did nothing about it. One bed was about to fall apart.

The front desk person was very nice. There were only 2 towels in the room and there were 4 people in the room Location of hotel was good. The hotel front desk person was very nice and helpful. Housekeeping was slow and did not perform to basic standards like bringing more towels after the said they would. We had to use the floor towels. For $70.00 I would expect a lot more. There was no coffee pot or hair dryer as stated on the web and the laundry room was out of service and this was much needed since we were there playing in a baseball tournament. The hotel down the street was much nicer for $70.00 that my friend stayed at "Downtown Inn".
