We pulled into the lot and I said, OH OH. It looked seedy. When I went to go in to register, the door was locked with a sign that said be back in 10 min. There was a plaza next door so we walked over there. When we came back, the door was open. A woman came to the desk with her child in her arms to register us. The room was clean BUT 2 of the 3 lamps did not work, there were no tissues, no fan to take the moisture out of the bathroom, a tissue paper thin blanket. It definitely needed upgrading. One of the chairs looked like a dog had chewed both the corners of it off. I could not get on the Internet in my room. The guy next door said you had to sit outside or go over to the lobby. He also told us to make sure the door was closed and locked as he had trouble with his and in the week he was there, he had to change swipe cards to his door 4 times.I would NOT recommend this Econolodge even though the price was very reasonable.

Very affordable. Very dirty. Food on walls in room, bathtub was nasty. If they would clean just a little more, this experience would have been great! Dirt on walls, bathtub was not clean and dirty ashtray and trash left in bedside table drawers. Also, shampoo, soap and toilet tissue would have been nice! Our room had neither!

our first room smelled horrible, bathroom was not clean, hair was all over the bathroom floor. we asked to move to another room. second room was better. the pool was another story it was filled with litter plastic spoons, looked like ketchup pkts, debris all in the bottom, hotel employees didn't seem to care. my teenagers wouldn't swim in it. the temp. was 98 degrees out. the neighborhood was in the old part of town. also no top sheet on the bed, only bottom sheet and comforter. fridge didn;t work,

The Econo Lodge was a very nice room for the low price we paid. This hotel was a little off the beaten path but was very clean. There are several restaurants only a few miles away. It is very close to the downtown square which has several antique stores.

Near where I wanted to be. No internet, rusty tubs, no shampoo in bathroom, worst cont. breakfast ever. I realize this isn't much of a review, but there is so much to say let me sum it up in four words: do not stay here. I mean, unless you don't expect internet and shampoo in your hotel room.

The sheets were not clean. The rooms smelled musty. No toilet paper in rooms. Food left in refrigerator. Floor not vacuumed because food was on the floor. Room needed painting. It had primer all over the walls.

Good location. Nothing. Personnel were very helpful and pleasant. Since we were interested in going to the Unclaimed Baggage center, this was very conveniently located right down the block.

This hotel is great. We stayed for 7 nights with absolutely no problems. It is quite, clean, and comfortable. Locally owned and operated. Close and easy access to Lake Guntersville. Easy to use boat hookups to electric. We went to bassfish for a week and initially was concerned because of the low prices. We were not disappointed. Great place. Highly recommend.
