We left, never stayed here, and lost our money. It was so dirty with trash by entrance and in main hall to rooms. The place needs a good scrub top to bottom. My husband went to use lobby restroom while I was trying to check in and it was unusable, so dirty. I requested they refund our money, they would not. Per cheap tickets customer service they could have done so. After talking with customer service, afraid to go back as there were 3 men, one working, others, maybe owners, getting of work but hanging around the front desk. No one else around, no guests either. I am calling the city health department as this was beyond any dirty hotel I have ever seen. We found another hotel and checked in.

Roaches in the room and in the bathroom. Hard to get to from eastbound, had to turn around and backtrack to enter hotel. Room smelled heavily of cigarette smoke, hotel very dirty and grungy. We were exhausted and needed sleep so we stayed.

I felt the rooms especially the bathrooms were averagely cleaned. The machines were broken and you had to ask at the front desk for a soda. The desk clerks weren't real friendly. And the only thing I didn't like was it was very hard to get to and to leave from. The other stuff is petty.

People were friendly enough. Recliner was broken and there was no soap or shampoo. Hotel was nicely located on a major highway. Room was clean and workers were friendly enough. Was upset that there wasn't enough of soap or shampoo because I hadn't brought mine.

Refrigerator and microwave in room. Difficult to regulate shower temperature. Hotel was fine with many extras for the price.

Room was quiet. Cheesy pillows, no remote for TV. Room was clean and in good condition. The bedding seemed a bit used and the pillows were uncomfortable/flat. The hotel overall was in need of attention - peeling wallpaper, worn carpet, etc. Continental breakfast was not monitored and food ran out.

Nothing about this hotel was liked! Everything right down to cleanliness. I would not recommend this hotel, it is in dire need of refurbishment, my room leaked, the bed and floor was soaked. I felt very dirty staying there!

The staff is very professional, but also very personable. The traffic around the hotel (downtown dc) killed me. This isn't a typical stay: The night we arrived, my disabled husband misjudged distance and fell in our room. He fractured 4 ribs in 5 places, which triggered other health problems, so he is actually still in a dc hospital (we live in Ohio) nearly a week later. Stressful situation, but the staff, including the loss prevention manager, the concierge and all the desk people more than rose to the occasion. They tended to my kids in the lobby, gave them free sundaes, while the paramedics got him up. By the time my husband was loaded in the ambulance, they had internet directions printed for me to the hospital. They were more than generous in accommodating me in my extended stay, more than kind when dealing with my less than typical comings and goings, more than compassionate in my stress. I had assured them that we weren't litigious and knew they weren't responsible for the accident. Had they asked me, I would have signed a waiver. They never did, and were not interested in my assurances - they were interested in my situation, not in the potential harm to them if I was that sort of person. I'm generally more comfortable in less fancy hotels, but this 4 star one has a place in my heart. Turns out there are real people behind those perfectly refined manners and polished appearances. Also, the new renovations are nice. Internet access is important to me, and they went to great lengths to help me make it work. The rooms are done in bold colors, but a dominant color is orange. Unfortunate choice, but they really are very nice, very clean, and the bed is very comfortable, I should have such a nice bed at home! For touring, lots of things are in walking distance. Maybe 2 miles from the white house & mall? Tourist shopping right ups the street on M. Shuttle service to the touring trolley. We would have really had a great time there.

Cable TV. Breakfast was a disaster. There was torn cardboard in the cafe. There was very little choice in rolls, bread, etc. No effort was made to keep things filled. The room was clean but much worn. It is impossible to get into the parking lot if you are westbound on the highway. I would not stay there again.

Lobby was dirty, breakfast was pathetic, the elavator was awful, room was terrible, the shower didn't drain. I was really disappointed.
