It was just great. Staffs were super gentle and did everything to make our travel just more beautiful. It was a really nice choice to book to this hostel.

When I got to the hotel with friends, the hotel room was dirty and it was not what I wanted. On the computer it showed the suits. I was very disappointed. There was stain on the sheets and the people who were running the place spoke no English so they could not understand what we were talking about.

Seriously, I didn't like the looks of the place when we drove up (regardless of what the cute photo in the ad looks like). The cement steps were cracked and looked to be falling apart, the shrubs were completely overgrown and almost seemed to pose a safety hazard (like people could hide in them). There were holes near the entry door that looked as though rodents could come in. We reserved this room last minute during the "college move in" weekend and had no other choice. We walked into the room, and after sticking to the floor, noticed the light "bulb" hanging from a wire in the bathroom, and we turned around and left. I would rather have slept in my car for the evening. It was disgusting and scary at the same time. Don't stay here! We were lucky enough to get a room down the street from a cancellation. Honestly, the worst motel I've ever seen. And oddly enough, when my husband went back in to get a refund, the man at the desk seemed to be quite familiar with the process, happily giving him the cc slip.

The room at Econo Lodge and Inn at Shelburne, VT was in ill repair. The front door was askew in its frame with a large gaping space at the top. The bathroom door scraped along the floor and had to be lifted to close. There was no exhaust fan in the room and MOLD was present along the baseboards near the door and in the shower. The patio door exited onto a deck in the back and out onto a lawn. This area had potential but the plants were overgrown and invaded by weeds. The staff at the inn were pleasant enough but the rooms and surroundings were outdated, shabby and in much need of help.

Clean and quiet. Good continental breakfast. No complaints. This was my second time staying here in two years. It's not a 5-star motel/hotel, but it met my needs just fine. It was clean and comfortable, and inexpensive, and I plan on staying there again when I go up next year.

Upon arrival to the hotel everything looked okay. It wasn't a great place but for the money it wasn't bad. When I woke up around 3 in the morning I could not stop coughing and when I blew my nose black soot came out. I didn't know if this was actually happening or if I was seeing things because it was the middle of the night. At around 8 am I woke up coughing again and when I blew my nose for a second time there was a lot more of that black soot. UGH! I looked around for soot in the room and over the toilet there was a heating unit and on the back of the toilet there was a ton of this soot or whatever it was. There was also a towel that had been on the back of the toilet so at checkout time I brought the towel to the front desk with me. While confronting the hotel manager he said that, "Everyone has been complaining about this and there is no need to worry" I was worried for my health so I asked if he had any idea what this was and he said that they don't know but it's not something bad he assured me... I feel better today no more coughing or black stuff coming out of my nose but if you value your health I would not stay at this hotel.

Staff is very friendly and extremely helpful. The free breakfast offering was also an incentive for me to return again. If you are looking for a place to just spend the night and then be on your way, this is the place. If you are looking for a place to sleep and spend all day in and be in awe about how beautiful and comfortable everything is, then this is not the place. I was here on ski trips twice this winter and will go back again given the opportunity. The location is on a major highway and is in close proximity to the interstate. On a scale of 1 to 5, 5 being best, I would rate it 2.75

Lowest cost in area. Mold in shower. Cheapest stay available. Many rooms open in this area but all hotels work to maintain artificially high costs. Stay here only to sleep.

This motel is of substandard quality. The room was dirty and the heater for the entire room was located above the toilet, therefore the bathroom door had to be left open. Check in and check out was smooth and the breakfast was better than expected. I do not recommend this property unless you are on an extremely limited budget.

Reception people werevery friendly. It is old, patched up, but clean.

When we entered the room, the toilet was running (you had to manipulate the handle to make it stop, and housekeeping apparently hadn't bothered). The air conditioner gave off a mildew scent, so we just opened up the bathroom window to let air in, and one of the pillows smelled so mildewy we had to move it across the room to not smell it. One of the lights did not work, the peephole in the door had been painted over so you couldn't see outside, and there was a large loose tile in the bathroom doorway. We were too tired to look for a new hotel that night, but i would NEVER stay here again, and will steer clear of the entire EconoLodge franchise in the future.

"We stayed in a suite while visiting UVM, must say the room was super, clean, A/C & wifi, the microwave and fridge were a huge plus for the great rate we got. Would recommend!!"

Staff was nice. Lobby with breakfast was nice. Room and pillows reeked of cigarette smoke and when I mentioned it they were not changed. Very convenient location to the college area. Small and simple - not a high rise - door opened to grassy area.
