This hotel had one of the best handicap rooms I have satyed in in a long time. They had all we needed in the room and the breakfeast was a great surprise too.

Convenience to highway. Rude staff, poor housekeeping, dirty rooms. I was looking for a budget no frills hotel and this one was alright. However, after staying here in total over a month, the manager was extremely rude when I told her that her staff gave me false information (saying that I would get my taxes back if I stayed longer) just to get me to stay. Even though I had asked them that 5 times and they stated that they had checked with the manager, the manager still seemed to say it was my fault. In addition to this, many of their housekeeping staff left the room unclean (they would just come in and arrange the bed without taking out towels or replacing them). There were very simple things they could have done to make this a better stay, but they chose not to do so.

I booked this room simply because every where else we tried was booked. That should have been my first red flag. When we arrived at the "lodge" there were a lot of people wandering outside and it did not appear to be in the best area. Reluctantly we checked in after waiting about a half hour in line while the receptionist continued to answer phone calls while ignoring us. As we walked upstairs to our room we noticed that many of the doors were had gaps at the top and did not close all the way. We opened our room and were overwhelmed with the smell of bleach. The only thing positive about this room was there was no bugs due to the over use of bleach. Parts of the walls were unpainted, the towels were stained, the blankets were matted and disgusting, you can feel every spring in the bed, and it was very musty. We attempted to get our money back because this room was not only unacceptable but it was also unsanitary. After finally talking to the receptionist when he stopped answering phone calls he agreed to give us our money back...BUT we booked through yahoo travel (which was our mistake). When we woke up this morning we were coughing up and our throats burned due to the excessive amounts of bleach. Our cats had also thrown up from the excessive fumes from the bleach. Long story short never stay in room 263, but its highly possibly every room is the same way.

When I turned the corner to come to the hotel and saw the location, I was really not happy, and the hotel looked run down and dirty. Walking into the lobby, I could smell the carpet and it smelled really moldy. The desk clerks were friendly, but unhelpful. In the end, I decided to not stay there because I didn't feel safe, and the if the lobby was that dirty, what would the rooms look like?

Location, price, served breakfast. The towels were old and thin, the bathroom fan was very noisy. This is a good value for the money.

Literally. When we checked in, it stank of urine. We went and bought a scented candle to try freshen the room. When I sat at the desk, I saw under the desk, a dog turd! Fairly large, fairly noticeable! Some guy came to clean it up, after 10 minutes of excuses and swearing on granny's grave that he had indeed, cleaned the room, I gave him toilet paper, told him to pick it up and leave. I wanted the room cleaned again, and sheets changed, neither happened. if we had had another option, we would have left. its in a nasty part of town, industrial, and just not clean at ALL. Even if we only paid , you dont expect to find dog poop in your room!

Room was smelly and bed was as hard as a rock pillows too otherwise fine

The staff was friendly, they followed through with our requests. Room was not clean. I would not stay at this hotel again. Although the room was vacuumed and cleaned each day, the overall of the room really needs a major overhaul. There were many stains in the carpet and furniture, floor tile was not in good shape, pillows were very flat. Staff was extremely helpful and trying to accommodate in every way.

Friends and I wanted a clean, cheap hotel close to downtown Tacoma for a couple of days site seeing, shopping and waterfront dining. I was suprised as the free breakfast was great and so was the staff. Very close to the Tacoma Dome for the show. The hotel is a little old but the room was clean and was right off the freeway.

Front desk was friendly. Room was run down, dirty and in bad repair. Hair drier and bedside lights did not work. Strongly suspected that the bed had not been changed since last customer. Not enough towels in room. Overall, not a good experience. We will not return.

Was in Tacoma for a sporting event at the Tacoma Dome and stayed at this hotel with my grandchild. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was great. the rooms were being remodeled while I was there and for the money very good.

Motel is located in the center of the Port of Tacoma. Very few restaurants or stores near by. Staff was not very helpful or friendly, when we arrived at about 6:00 PM we had to wait for a half an hour for our room to be cleaned. There isn't a restaurant near by. Great place for a trucker, location is great, on the freeway, and not that far from Tacoma downtown area, and in the middle of the Port area. The motel did have free wifi and a desk in the room for a computer, the room size was adequate, with room for a couch. One good thing was there was a casino about 5 miles down the street, both ways.

There were no towels or TP in the room. It is a very nice location for Tacoma and Seattle and is near two freeways which provides some options if traffic is too crowded on one. The bed was wonderful, but the room could have been cleaned better. One of the beds did not have clean sheets. But with a frig, microwave, a good mattress, nice breakfast, and pleasant staff we cannot complain.

I had only one problem with the hotel; otherwise I thought the staff was friendly, the room was well furnished, and the place was clean. My problem was acoustics. We could not hear people in the neighboring rooms, but whenever someone walked by/talked in front of the room it was pretty loud inside. Also, the floor vibrates somewhat when people walk by. Otherwise I thought the room was furnished nicely and kept very clean. It even had a microwave, fridge, coffee maker, fold-out couch, and hair dryer, which I thought was nice.

Convienant location. No wireless interent service in the individual rooms Was ok for the price but the carpet was pretty stained up. The remote for the TV was not good and there was not any internet service in the rooms. The continental breakfast was not much to speak of.

Even though there was a problem with the first room staff quickly reassigned us to a great room! The first room we werein had not been cleaned. The hotel was close to a major highway but the amount of road noise was minimal. The first room we were assigned had not been cleaned but the management reassigned us to a very nice room. The continental breakfast was fine. The room was clean and comfortable. This hotel is perfect for a mid-priced stop. I did see that they had a Jacuzzi suite.
