What are your breakfast options?: We provide a complimentary breakfast from 6:00am to 9:00am weekdays and 7:00am to 10:00am weekends and holidays. For special events or group requests, we are happy to begin earlier.

We serve one sweet & one non-sweet cold cereal (e.g., Frosted Flakes & Cheerios), make your own Belgian waffles, sweet bread and English Muffins (non-sweet), Smart Balance & jellies, orange juice, and another cold drink, regular & decaf coffee & condiments, per Choice Standards. But we supplement with fruit such as apples & oranges, donuts, microwavable snacks such as breakfast egg rolls, and sausage on a stick wrapped in pancakes.

1/4 block to the south is the Home Plate Diner which is open Monday-Saturday, 6:00 am-8:00 pm & Sunday 8:00 am- 2:00 pm.
What transport is available to get around?: We have the DART Bus #1 stop next door west & across the street. There are cabs available in the area.
What can I do nearby?: Besides the Main Gate, which is across the street to the north, we are directly across the street from the IA State Fairgrounds. Adventureland Resort and Prairie Meadows Casino, in Altoona, IA, are within 7 miles away and Downtown Des Moines is 3. We are on the very Eastern edge of town, next door to Pleasant Hill, IA.
Do you have internet?: We have free Wi-Fi throughout the property.
Do you provide parking?: We do have free parking on our lot, but are able to allow one (regular) vehicle per room, due to space. Right across the street, E. 30th, eastside, the IA State Fairgrounds has a lot we use for trucks, trailers, buses, etc.
