The room was clean and spacious. Thin walls, could hear running water, exhaust fans, etc.

We were a little concerned with older reviews but pleasanly surprised with the motel, room and friendly staff. Great value for money and convenient to downtown. We are headed back wtih friends later this summer.

Convenient location andinexpensive. Continental breakfast leaves things to be desired and is only given out in the lobby.

I was a little nervous after reading the other reviews, but the hotel has upgraded a lot since those, I think. The service was good and people were friendlly, and the room comfortable.

It's a family run motel so you get a very personal touch. The shower head was really low and a little anemic. For basic amenities we couldn't have asked for anything more. It was safe and clean and affordable. Really, that's about all I ask for in a hotel. The nice thing was that the owners ran the front desk so I wasn't just dealing with some hourly drone or corporate lackey while checking in. Those kind of people are usually professional but cold and impersonal. This was the total opposite.

Room was not very clean. Bed was low to the floor. Bathrom was old. Parking lot was cracked. Outside ash trays were always full. Needs renovations. Breakfast was limited but OK

The hotel was described with view on mountains in fact the mountains were very far, but we had a good view on the parking lot and on the road. The rooms have view on the parking lot and on the road, so it was noisy our room was dark and cold, and not very comfortable - breakfast was included, but there is no room to sit to take the breakfast.

Total waste of time and money. The motel room was clean but had mechanical problems with the heat and bathroom. Walls were paper thin and drunken neighbors kept us awake most of the night.

This is an older hotel and the maintenance could have been better. The hotel was easy to find, had good access to the down town area with a good selection of restaurants.

This was one of the worse experiences that I have every had at a motel. It would have been better sleeping in the car.
Date of Stay:
December, 2007
The heater worked pretty well. The TV was really small. The TV was super small, but the hotel was clean and the bed was comfortable, that's about all I wanted. I didn't like that they shut down the "continental" breakfast at 9:30am.alot of people eat breakfast a little later than that.
Date of Stay:

My room had a full kitchen and a little desk. The heat sucked, The door wouldn't lock. The clerk was comatose. The shower was ill. Fifty bucks is no deal for this run-down musty derelict on the outskirts of town. The heat sucked, the door wouldn't lock, the clerk was comatose and the shower was. Then again it is Durango and perhaps one shouldn't complain.

Great staff. Building and rooms need to be updated. Staff great. Location is good, great cable selection, rooms are clean but dated and on the small side. Lack of ironing board, small TV, room is missing other features found in similar hotels in area. A good place to stay overnight. Would stay there again if my usual choices where booked up.
