Great staff, clean room, and great breakfast for the price!

I came by myself for an important appointment the next day. My room was in the far building next to the freeway. My internet connection was weak. The freeway was noisy. I didn't get much sleep.

Very close to airport. LoudAC unit, toilet dripped all night. Only good for people who need a quick cheap place to sleep and get back on their way.

My wife and I were leaving for Las Vegas early in the morning on a Friday so (being from Surrey, BC) we decided to stay in Bellingham the night before the flight so not to be rushed. When picking a hotel/motel, this was the cheapest one but it didn't get much in the way of good reviews on this site and another one. Let me tell you -- we were surprised, pleasantly! There was some renovations being done on the front office and the swimming pool was closed (it was March haha) but that's all I can say that is bad. The room smelled normal (aka not smokey) and there was no noise issues. The room had a blow dryer and a working fridge, two things you don't always get in a budget hotel. The sheets were clean and the bed was comfortable. We asked for more pillows and, after going to pick them up from the office, our wish was granted. The only negative I'd say was the shower had poor water preasure...didn't make for much of an experience. But the whole bathroom was clean, so it could have been worse. Very close to the airport (like 10 minutes I think or less) so it was the right choice for us. Believe me: This is a great deal for under $70.

We arrived late at the hotel. 4:00AM to be more precise. The late arrival was caused by airline delays in SFO to Seattle. And our reserved room in Bellingham WA was canceled as a "NO Show" despite the fact that I did call ahead. When the hotel staff member said "No problem" without taking the time to check on her computer for even my name. I took that to mean "no problem". The night clerk had a different reply. Fortunetly the motel was not full and we were able to get a room but only for that day. We had to re-register later that morning for the remaining three days of our visit. I don't travel that often and was put out by being bumped from a reservation at the hotel

Its location. Untrained staff and noisy loud guests, and minimal security. The way to describe this place is that they are trying but they fall short of the mark. I am familiar with this national chain and its parent company in my home state of Maryland would be embarrassed to see this location. Frugal, low cost does not mean that it needs to be dirty. The entrance was smudge with dark, black finger prints, the shampoo and soaps were not restocked daily. The parking lot was littered.

This is a large facility. The rooms are clean. Furniture is in great condition. No odors. Heaters work. Bathrooms are spotless. Shower's water pressure is a bit weak though. I suppose that is an effort to go green. They have a continental breafast. Simple but more than adequate. The people are friendly and helpful. All night restaurants are closeby (other side of freeway). This motel is near the I-5 freeway so it provides easy on, easy off access. They have a pool but when I am there it is closed for winter.

we were just one night, room and hotel were clean, ammenities were sufficeint, staff wss friendly. Continental breakfast could have gone on longer. We would stay there again, good value for $$$

Decent continental breakfast. Loud, dirty, terrible customer service, rude, charged $31 extra for a non smoking room. I have never had a problem before and in fact stayed in 2 other hotels on our trip, both of were exceptional, but found this hotel experience to be entirely frustrating and unacceptable.

My biggest complaint is that I asked for a non-smoking room and they stuck me with a smoking room. It hadn't been used for a while, but when I got home everything in my suitcase smelled like old smoke. I got used to it in the room, but it did bother me. They didn't have another non-smoking room left with two queen beds and if the price weren't such a bargin I would have left, but I needed a cheap place to lay my head for the night. The staff were friendly and it was quiet and the room clean.

Good location, friendly staff, no hassle stay. Not as new or as clean as I usually like. Good place to stay for the night at a good price. Laid back atmosphere.

I liked that the room is spacious and relatively clean, The staff are also amazing! The bed was not comfy at all, the beddings are old and appeared dirty. The pillows sheet smelled dirty. The hotel's location is strategic. Everything you need is nearby (restaurants, gas station, mall, bookstore, etc. The room was relatively clean but the beddings were really used, worn out and old. They appeared dirty even though they were clean. The bed had a dimple in the middle of it and the pillows smelled filthy. They were probably not changed since the last guest. The staff however were hospitable.

Served my need for clean and inexpesive accomodations. Nothing. I would recommend this hotel.

Close to just about everything/casino/Wall mart/Denny's. Noisy fan on the heater. Their is a pool and the rooms are clean and comfortable. I willdefinitely stay here again.

Service. I felt that the staff ignored my concerns. I stayed for 2 nights. On both nights the customers upstairs kept us awake. I suggested to the staff that perhaps they should not put children on the 3rd floor as it appears the hotel does not have very good insallation. When I complained. Due to lack of sleep. I was told that the manager would address my concerns. I never heard from the management. I was disappointed. I travel to Bellingham every year for the Black Friday sales. I will not be staying at the Econo Lodge again

Location. Ease of access from freeway and access to city attractions. Bed was noisy and not very comfortable.
