Friendly staff and they did their best to help, tolook clean. The area and we were on the 2nd floor, weird steps. It was okay for a short stop. I think I could have got a better deal from the hotel directly. I could have done better once I got into town location is way too far away from the beach, this hardly qualified as a hotel and lack of visitors to the area showed. This hotel would do in a pinch.

I stayed at this hotel recently and had a great stay! The front desk staff was amazing, very hospitable, espesically the young man and woman at the front desk. The hotel is a little old but kept very clean.

Hotel was not great. Expensive for lack of amenities. Surrounding area of city was dirty. I will not return.

It was walking distance to a 7 Eleven store. Smokingroom wasonly available, light bulb non-functioning,toilet tank leaking on floor. Water leaking out of toilet. Light bulb burn out on one fixture. Room needed rehab. Finishing frame fell off of air conditioning unit when activated to eliminate smoke smell. Should have partial rebate for staying in this facility. Suggest this econo lodge be dropped from one that you recommend. This was my first time at an Econo Lodge. Hopefully this is not indicative of this chain of motels.

Although it is an older 2-storey motel, the management has done a good job maintaining the property: the furniture, paint, & carpets all look really new. The front desk staff was very friendly, helpful, & professional. Upon check-in, we were able to look at several rooms before choosing one, & she provided directions to the nearby Publix grocery stores (both are within a couple miles: closest is on Sheridan St., while the other is at Young Circle). Later, when we wanted to move to another room, they moved our luggage for us while we were out for the day. Customer service is a high priority here. Likes: free micro-fridge; free local calls; free coffee; free parking; large rooms; new, quiet a/c; & a 27” TV with 70+ channels. We would have used the free airport shuttle, but we had a rental car instead. Dislikes: no clock radio; no tubs in the bathrooms; no laundry (although there is one within a 5 min. walk on the US #1) & we both found the breakfast to be somewhat limited. My main beef with the breakfast was the lack of real cream for the coffee; only whitener. I know cream costs more, but we feel that it’s worth it. If you need a more substantial breakfast, there is a restaurant just around the corner on US #1 that has bacon & eggs, etc. Overall, our stay was good. We booked this motel because of the amenities, it was fairly close to the beach (about 10-15 min drive), & that it was located along local bus routes (although I booked a rental car instead). My main overall concern was the cost, as it was a bit expensive for a motel.

The hotel staff was great. The room was nasty. Ok for one night stay.

We have stayed here on 2 different ocaisions as a stop-over for cruises. Although nothing exceptional, it is a pleasant 20 min. walk or so to downtown Hollywood, very handy to the Airport and cruise terminal ( with complementary shuttle service provided). Although the establishment is starting to show it's age, the rooms are reasonably clean, staff is friendly and there are pool facilities. It's not "Ritz", but for people on a smaller budget it fits the bill just nicely.

the only complain i have is the bathroom was to small.... everything else was very good...the location was good...and the personel was very nice.

They provided a nice free breakfast in a clean and friendly atmosphere and free transport to Port Everglades. The neighborhood was not the best. For the price and for a one night stay the hotel was clean, the people were nice, the breakfast was good and transportation from the airport and to Port Everglades was good.

My friend and I had a great stay at this Econo Lodge. I could tell that it had been recently renovated, so I was more-so grateful that we caught it at the right time. I'm also pretty sure that the room we occupied was larger than a lot of the others. I was VERY happy about that because we brought a lot with us for the trip. WE LOVED OUR ROOM! It was Memorial Day Weekend, but I'm wish that we could've had more time to enjoy the room more. If you plan on being in your room a lot, then bring a radio/stereo and DVD player. There was a refrigerator, microwave, and dinette set in the kitchenette. There were two chairs and a table in the room also (to serve as a desk). There wasn't a curtain on the bathroom window, but the room was upstairs. Paved parking was limited, but that's minor. We definitely got MORE than our money's worth. The area was pretty easy to navigate too. It wasn't hard to find our way back to I-95. If you do, then it won't be hard to find a wireless internet connection. The staff at the hotel was very friendly.

One of the maids was very helpful. The bathroom was awful in the room we had the first night. The pool was dirty.

The Econo Lodge Hollywood had very friendly people working the front desk. They were very helpful, making sure we got the free shuddle bus to and from the boat and airport on a timely manner. They even gave us a wake-up call and called us when the shuddle arrived. The room was clean and free of bugs. They even let us stay one hour after check out time free of charge because our plane didn't leave until 4pm. We also enjoyed the free continental breakfast waiting for the shuddle to take us to the boat.

It was on the ground floor, near the office, and close to a restaurant. This is an old hotel. It's not a place I would recommend to anyone unless lack of money is the issue. The only plus was the shuttle service.

The location was close to the airport and the cruise port. The location is close to the airport and cruise ship terminal. This was the dirtiest hotel room I have ever stayed at and I didn't feel safe in this location. The walls looked like they haven't been washed or painted in many years, the ceiling must have had a leak and was roughly patched with plaster, the floors were dirty, and the room smelled of stale rancid smoke, the bathroom was also so dirty we didn't want to use it. Not being familiar with the Fort Lauderdale area, I thought this would be okay for just one night for a group of family members.

Staff was very friendly; Internet access was excellent, fridges in room. Pretty old and rundown. Staff didn't know much about the area. Pick up from cruise and to airport was free, fast and friendly. We were looking for something to do in the area in the afternoon, and they weren't able to offer any suggestions. There were a lot of fliers at the desk, but they didn't know anything about any of them. The hotel is very old and rundown, doors were splintered, small holes in walls, but for the most part it was clean, and in a very good location. Staff was very friendly. It was great for just a quick overnighter before going to the airport.

Did not appear safe at night, but had drug store, liquor store close by. A lot better during the morning. Surrounding area did not feel safe. Police with sirens on just down the block. The hotel provides free shuttle service to the port. The hotel was okay for one overnight. I would have felt better if the coverlet looked cleaner/fresher. The walls had some visible peeling.

Breakfast was very convenient and morning shuttle was on time. The shuttle ends at 11pm, and my flight was delayed and got in later. I had to get a taxi. It works well for short stays. There was also a fridge and microwave in the room, always a plus.

Iliked the way the walls in the room were painted - it was a nice environment. Nothing really. Pros: The place was simple, clean and comfortable. I was quite happy with it. It was nice to have a free breakfast, too. Cons: The shuttle taking me to the hotel took 45 minutes to pick me up. Also if you know you will need a shuttle leaving the hotel, make sure to reserve it ahead of time - they didn't tell me I could do this and I almost wasn't able to get a shuttle.
