Econo Lodge Erie PA - Stayed one night in July and had a non-smoking room due to health issues. Checked in without a problem and went to the room. As I opened the door to the room we could smell the cigarettes without evem stepping foot into the room - it reeked! Went back to the desk and asked again for a non-smoking room. Went to the second room - the smell of smoke was disguised by air freshener but the kids were hungry so I turned the a/c on COLD and we all left the room to go to dinner. Returned two hours later to find the room still warm and muggy. Kids got ready for bed and later, when I went into the bathroom for the first time, I found that there was a dirty used towel and shower cap hanging behind the door and dirty foot prints on the tile. Too late now ... the kids are in bed so I decided at that point that I was totally screwed so said to myself ... it's late ... stop fussing... The lingering aroma of stale cigarettes permeated through the room ALL night long. Seriously over priced hotel! Don't waste your money!

Location. Small bathrooms. Hotel was clean and the rooms were cheap. The room was spacious but the bathroom was small. You can hear noises outside of the room.

Stayed for 1 night on business and would highly recommend this hotel. The price was right for one night, room was very clean and quiet, and for the most part staff was very friendly (1 person at check in could have shown a little more enthusiasm, otherwise friendly). There was even 2 bus tours staying this same night and all services were still great. The continental breakfast was the best by far. If you leave there hungry it is your own fault. Many items to choose from and the staff was great on clean up and refilling items. Plenty to go around. The only negative I could add would be that the furnishings were a little antiquated but I can live/visit with that small negative. Thanks for a nice restful stay and would definately stay again.

The purpose of our travel was a College graduation. The Econo Lodge was centraly located and very comfortable. Restaurants across the street and the mall was a half mile away. We really did not enjoy any of the aminities only because we didn't have time. The rooms were clean and neat. Lodge staff were very friendly and helpful. Our check out at 3:30 am was simple and we got directions on how to get to the airport. The coffee maker had the wrong size coffee pot, but it made good coffee. It was much nicer than the hotel that some of the other family guests were staying in. If I ever return to Erie I will stay at the Econo Lodge.

I was quite impressed with the hotel. Very clean with lots of towels and the staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. The continental breakfast was more than adequate. I will stay again on my next trip.

The econolodge was excellent. The staff were very accomodating and upgraded our room at no extra charge so we could check in immediately. I was extremely impressed with the Econolodge staff and the hotel itself. The staff upgraded our room at no extra charge so that we could check in earlier than the time stated. This allowed us to have a fabulous time and to go off shopping and not have to return to check in. The pool and hot tub and sauna were fabulous as well as the continental breakfast in the morning. The food selection was great and seating was abundant. Would highly recommend staying at this hotel. Thanks for the superb service!

"My family and I just returned from our trip to Erie for a combo Splash Lagoon package. At 1pm we tried to check in early as we had been told we would be able to, they always have rooms, the desk clerks during the mid day shift on 2/11 were rude and we had to take everything over to the park and dig through bags for articles. Poor customer service skills during that arragnement. Housekeeping had been in for several hours and rooms weren't available????? That was a five hour window."

My friend and I have been going to Erie for 18 years. We started out when our children were small and now that they are grown we still go every summer. We have stayed at different motels and this has been the best with the most things to accommodate us. The breakfast bar was great. To be able to make your own belgium waffles! The pool and hot tub area was very nice. Someone put a lot of thought into the designing of the area. We will definitely return next year and I have told all my friends how nice it was.

I would have liked to have seen more of a selection in the breakfast. Maybe a fresh fruit bar would be an excellent choice.

Clean & Convenient. We do not have young children, but this place is very child friendly. Nothing. I thought it met or exceeded our expectations. While it is not downtown, this hotel is centrally located to many attractions in the Erie area. It is clean and well-maintained. They offer a children's activities program, along with an indoor pool. It is across the street from an indoor waterpark. A breakfast area is provided, with a "make your own waffles" feature along with other foods.

Friendly kind courteous staff eager to please. The room was good bed comfy. Whirl pool tub needed repair and the workout room 4 machines didn't work but treadmill did. This hotel had a great continental breakfast. Waffles French toast apples oranges bananas cereal yogurt. They offer a shuttle service to the restaurants owned by them and to Splash Lagoon. Rooms were clean and the bed comfy. Great little pool and hot tub. It was a family hotel a little noisy with kids everywhere but if you bring kids you are part of the noise! Very courteous and obliging staff. Eager to please and accommodate. Would definitely go back with the Splash Lagoon package.

Would like to have the ability to match rates example pay $49.00 rate similar to Microtel. The bathroom could be cleaner. I would stay here again. The hotel staff was friendly. The location was perfect.

Location, staff, and quality were all good. Getting old. I would stay here again. The hotel is getting a little old and tired but overall was a good value and location for the money.
