Not run down but not real clean. Had to exchange for clean towel. Wouldn't use the pool.

Clean, updated room, close to beach and restaurants. This hotel exceeded expectations. Pleasantly surprised with room comfort and amenities. Very friendly and helpful staff/managers. Nice residential location walking distance to Moonlight State Beach and many local restaurants. The whole facility was well maintained and pleasant.

Room was clean, comfy with decent room. We had a vaulted ceiling, so seemed roomier. Breakfast, while a small collection, was fresh and available even at 10am. Good value for the price. They locked the other entrance late at night, so you had to go through the lobby (better for security). It's near a train track, but we never heard it.

As a woman traveling solo, I found this place to feel warm safe and secure. The hotel room door is located in the interior. Rest was important to me, and my room at the back was facing a very quiet residential street. Everything I needed was in the vicinity. The beach is a very safe & pleasant 5-minute walk from the hotel. Many quaint shops and very hip restaurants also within walking distance, including the best Coffee/Tea house just one block away. Very friendly, accommodating and courteous staff at the front desk. Will definitely be staying here again.

The sheet wasn't clean and we got bugged by something like fleas for whole night. Other than that, it was anok hotel.

Room was very clean and comfortable. Has all what I needed: wifi, coffee, good light breakfast, warm feeling. This place must have gone through a remodel - I like it. Thanks.

So it's not the fanciest place in the world, but it's a good place to stay for the night. I booked last minute and had a great experience. The staff was okay... they seemed annoyed that I checked in late, but other than that they were helpful. The room wasn't huge, but it was clean and felt safe. For 59, I couldn't have asked for more. One thing I will say is that you can hear the toilets flushing and showers running in the other rooms. In the morning, I was hoping to sleep in but I woke up to a young woman singing "I'm leaving on a jet plane" outside my window. I guess if you plan on getting up before 8:30 or so, you'll be fine.Great hotel for the money overall.

The price was the only thing. It needs major remodeling, bigtime.

What a great experience we had at this Econolodge. Nice and clean, friendlly, modern rooms with all the necessary items. Good breakfast choices were much appreciated. Defiinitely will recommend and return again. Good location.

It was ok considering that we only stayed their one night. The room was clean. The pool was super small. It was fine If you are only their for one night or just to sleep there.

Friendly staff. Minimal breakfast. The TV did not work in my first room. They immediately offered me another room. The hotel was very clean, and the staff was respectful and friendly. I saw them walking around inspecting the entire place. The breakfast was just bagels, mini-muffins, bananas, cereal, juice and coffee. The pool is very small and between the hotel and the coastal highway. The hotel is a couple blocks off the beach.

I was billed by AOL and Econo on this one. Econo negligence is the way I see it. Trying to get this corrected has been a nightmare due to an outsourced customer service department. Let the online buyer beware.

It was awesome for the price, updated decor. I liked the whole experience. Very comfortable, clean, and updated for the price.

Manager was very helpful and friendly. They had trouble getting the right number of towels and wash cloths in our room. The main blanket had stains. I would recommend the hotel. It was convenient, close to main highway but not on the highway, quiet, friendly, and was clean overall.

Neat, clean and conveniently located. Cheesy decor. I would stay again. We spent most of our time in town or at the beach and it was a clean and decent place to come back to. The staff was courteous, helpful and friendly. We made a good choice.

Very convenient to freeway & beach. No balcony or lounge to sit & relax. Rooms were spacious and very close to the beach. There was a smell getting inside the room, I suggest that air freshener should be used or eradicate the smelly odor.

Friendly staff, nice area, away from high way noise, close to areas we needed to travel. The continental breakfast was very limited, there was no elevator and I had medical problems that required me to be in a wheel chair. We found the accommodations to be comfortable and clean. Areas that could use improvement is the sheets did not fit the bed and so they were constantly coming off and the continental breakfast was so!

Great price for 5 minutes from the beach. The hotel has been remodeled photos are outdated. Fitted sheet did not stay on bed, not enough towels. Great price for location. Has been remodeled. Sheets did not fit bed and we had to ask for more towels.

No problems. Nothing. Very workable place. No problems.

Very good value for money. Poor staff attitude. Receptionist was very rude to me when I checked out. Overall, the hotel is very good value for money. The quality of the room exceeded my expectations and had all the facilities that I needed. However, there is a problem with the staff attitude here. On my arrival the woman on reception could best be described as civil, rather than friendly, and on the day I left she was extremely rude and entered into a strident argument with me, calling out after me as I left the hotel!
