Right next to the Waffle House. The receptionist was on the phone doing personnel business when I was trying to check in. Clean rooms. Everything worked. Great location for the West side of Charleston.

Cheap. Vending machine wasbroken.

Poor maintenance, outlets were broken and exposed and mold in air unit.

Close to town but on noisy road. As above on noisy road. It was fine for the price and they had a small breakfast too, just a place to sleep so we could spend the day in Charleston instead of driving home the same day.

It was nice and cool. The light outside was bright all night and lots of noise. The hotel was alright for one night. We went in and it was nice and cool and the TV worked. The breakfast was not much. We had coffee. It was not worth $69.00.

Good location for access to historic district with a short drive. Limited accommodations. Good for the money. Continental breakfast waspathetic.

A couple of the employees were especially helpful. It was dirty and in bad repair. The only thing I expect from a 1-star hotel is that it be clean and in good repair. This hotel was neither of these things. While my requirements are only the basics, the basics should include cleanliness and working bath fixtures. Our tub drained very slowly; the toilet had a very slow leak; and the room reeked of smoke.

There were no redeeming qualities. This hotel was dirty, mold on bathroom floor, cigarette butt and ashes in dresser. This hotel is dirty and noisy. The location was okay.

Rooms were clean. Lobby was old and did not seem clean.

Convenience. Shower. Dirty and the shower did not work.

I like the location. The room was dirty, there were no towels, the remote did not work and it smelt like smoke. My overall experience of the room was not very good. I was given a remote that did not work for the television and the overall quality of the bedding and room was poor. I am a very frequent customer of Motel 6 and I felt that this was a five star hotel in comparison to the Economy lodge. The room was not very nice. There were no towels as well.

Nothing. We got a smoking room even though we didn't ask for one.

Nothing---filthy. Everything this is a fleabag. I would have been better off in a card box on the street!

Everything, room was shabby, holes in wall; breakfast was coffee and very small roll. This hotel is old and needs a complete make over. Appliances did not work properly. Curtains barely covered the windows. What was wrong with this hotel are too numerous to really detail. If another hotel had been available I would have checked out and gone there regardless of price.

It was cheap! The shower was broken, and I do believe the room I stayed in was haunted. Good value for the money. I'd probably stay there again if I knew they'd fixed the shower.

Nothing. Dangerous and dirty. Did not end up staying here b/c when I checked in the hotel was so dirty and in such a bad neighborhood I checked right back out. I am disputing charges with American Express b/c the pictures of the hotel on the website did not look at all like the hotel actually looked. Please do not stay here.

Leaky plumbing and wet carpet. The sink was leaking when I arrived and the carpet in that area was soaking wet. The shower worked, but the pipes were also leaking there and the floor of the bathroom was very wet after showering.
Date of Stay:
March, 2007
Clean room, clean bed, clean bath room. 1st night no light in bath, no smoke detector, no door chain. The employees were friendly and tried to be helpful. We stayed there because of the price and it was ok for what we paid. I would like to have had a chain on the door for security. And they did fix the smoke detector and the bathroom light for our 2nd night.
Date of Stay:
June, 2006
Convenient location. Uncomfortable, hard building; no pool. This motel is only of value for a 1 night stay. Primary attraction for truck drivers or laborers.
