It has the potential to be a nice place to stay. Smoky smell. This hotel has the potential to be very nice but the staff seems more interested in each other than the guests. Rules are not enforced and the pool and there were young children in the hot tub. The plumbing needs a lot of work. And the breakfast could use some improvement.

Great location, close to airport and mall, but dingy rooms. They say they had been updated but it was done very cheaply. We couldn't get any extra pillows for the bed. There are a lot nicer places down in canal park but the Econlodge is one of the cheapest around.

Location, price, pool, staff. Too much chlorine smell in the pool area, beyond reason. Nice large rooms, close to the Airport and Miller Hill area, many restaurants in the area. Pool and pool area were kept clean and supplied with fresh towels.

I booked through Travel agent, which was the first mistake (will never use Travel agent again). Booked a non-smoking room, when we checked in, was told basically too bad, there are no non-smoking rooms available. The room smelled horribly from smoke, the cleanliness was poor, poor upkeep in hallways, unable to open the window for fresh air. It was a disaster. The staff at the front desk said basically because we booked on line, they couldn't help us at all. Called for an iron and board, waited 45 minutes, no one came, went to front desk where staff was eating take out. Breakfast bar was rated poor also. I would never ever recommend this motel to anyone.

Parking lot in need of repair. Much better than we expected for an Econolodge, had all the amenities of any moderately priced motel.

Booked a non-smoking room, arrived to find they would only give us a smoking room since we booked on-line. The room smelled so bad it took your breath away. Bed was old, sheets and mattress pad didn't fit. It was terrible. Will never stay there again.

I thought this hotel was overpriced but had no other options as everything else was booked. Water pressure was bad. Sink was dirty. The front desk staff was friendly.

I've stayed at ""5-star"" hotels. EconoLodge beats them in room amenities and Staff work and friendliness by far!

The location was good, easy to locate. Had reserved a non-smoking room but was given a smoking room that smelled very bad. Hotel quality was what I expected. Very strong smoke smell in smoking room for a non-smoker that is forced to stay there.

Staff was friendly, nice game room and pool. The beds and pillows were not very comfortable. Was a nice place for the money? Easy to find. Kids loved the pool and game room. Staff was very friendly. Had a large selection for breakfast and was good. They need new beds and pillows.

"when we got up to the room, we opened the drapes and the window was already open. The screen was off & there were cigarette butts all over in front of the window. Nobody knew why the screen was off or anything else about it. I think it was overpriced but there was no place else to stay in Duluth that night. It looked like a hole had been kicked in the bathroom door ."

Staff were very friendly and helpful. The parking area was horrible; the room had a strange smell to it. The parking area very badly needs to be upgraded. The rooms are nice, but they need to have some sort of odor removal done. Other than those two things, it's a nice place, large dining area for a motel this size with many conveniences. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The room was clean, but the odor was unpleasant.

I don't know what room the other reviewer stayed in but that wasn't my experience. Room wasn't very clean. Harldy any water pressure and the mattresses were kind of lumpy. I wouldn't stay here againg

Very disappointed with the quality/cleanliness. Staff tried to be accommodating but did not seem to be able to address simple issues like not receiving my wake-up call and getting my room temperature to a comfortable level.

There was nothing I liked about this hotel. Dirty bloody underwear at the entry door when you walk in. very poor parking lot lighting, hard to find, in the middle of abandoned buildings. the room was horrifically dirty, we all got sinus conjunction from the room because of mold. this is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. my traveling companions believe the same as I do.

Cleanliness was excellent. Entrance to motel hard to find and lots of deep potholes. With the exception of getting to the motel (you have to cross over another business's property), everything else was very good. I spent 14 years in the motel industry working for an international chain. I have seen thousands of room. The room we had here was exceptionally clean. Overall a great value for the money.

Wireless high speed Internet in the rooms worked flawlessly, had no trouble at all with disconnections. Kind of confusing to find your way into the parking lot. Great price for what you get. If all you need is a nice place to lay your head down at night, and aren't looking for something fancy, this is the hotel to pick. Good sized room, great wireless Internet connectivity, comfortable bed, and you'll have a hard time finding a better price in Duluth.
