A huge and embarrassing disappointment- although things improved after placing a complaint. We are by no means fussy travellers but the hotel and rooms were far from what was described on the website. The manager made every effort to be friendly and apologetic after we put in a complaint but the price policy is anything other than transparent and the service far from up to scratch on comparison to any other hotel in this price region. The team of staff appear to be all new...and unfortunately have a lot to learn in the name of genuine hospitality.

At first glance a modern, refurbished hotel. The communal areas have been redecorated but the rooms are tired. The bar closes at 11pm, even for residents, which was a disappointment. The view was of an ugly road and cash converters, but possibly because we had a family room and were limited. However, none of our party had a sea view (four rooms in total) and the hotel did not appear fully booked. Breakfast was large, but took a long time and was over cooked.

Clean and friendly hotel very close to the beach. The public areas are large and bright but the room we had (twin sea view)was perhaps a little cramped if you were staying longer than a few days. Breakfast was large and tasty. We could have easily missed it though as even on Sundays and bank holidays it is only available from 8 to 9.

This hotel is NOT for the disabledI searched for hotel's in Eastbourne suitable for the disabled on "late rooms" site and chose this one. It was listed as having facilities for the disabled BUT on arrival it couldn't of been further from the truth. A small lift to the rooms above was a near impossible fit for my mother and her wheelchair and once out of it, there was two steps up to her room which meant I had to lift her, and chair, up and down as required. I had to pay an extra £20 for this privalidge as this was the most "suitable" room the hotel could offer?. If you have someone in your party with a disability or some one who may be, not "the norm", PHONE THE HOTEL AND MAKE SURE WHAT YOU SEE ON LATEROOMS.COM IS AS ACCURATE AS THEIR WEBSITE CLAIMS. I wont be making this mistake again.
