The reception was unmanned when we arrived + 3 people were standing in a queue waiting for assistance. The room was ok, just refurbished, but the common spaces were tired and quite grubby.Breakfast was pre-portioned and no real choice, the walls were covered with sauce and dirt, and we couldn't wait to leave !

The receptiontist and hotelier were very friendly, welcoming and helpful - ordering cabs and the like etc. In the room we had the decor was a bit oldy worldy so hard to tell if it was clean - I think the chairs had seen better days and our en-suite shower was just that, just a small shower in a tiny room with a towel rail and nothing else and separate small toilet wtih sink. Despite the shower being small, it was nice and powerful! We requested a sea view room which came at extra cost so it would have been nice to have clearer windows to look out through but understand what a nightmare it is keeping glass clean on the sea front! The information booklet provided in the room proved to be very useful as well for finding somewhere to eat etc.All in all, a nice hotel.

Dont judge a book by its cover...From the outside the hotel looked nothing special and parking was pretty hard, but being Easter bank holiday weekend we had expected this. Stepping inside changed everything, we were greeted by a warm and friendly receptionist who gave us our keys and told us everything we needed to know. The room was lovely, very clean and looked newly decorated. The bathroom was also great, clean and spacious with a good shower! Customer service here is excellent, staff could not do enough to help throughout our stay. Value for money was excellent and location was even better... 5 min walk to the pier! And if that wasn’t enough we were even given Easter eggs from the hotel on Easter Sunday. Great hotel!!

Good value for money - cheap & cheerfulThe 'no-frills', single room was exactly as advertised. Basic but clean and comfortable, the accommodation was perfect for a one night stay. The ladies on reception were friendly and helpful and the breakfast staff were equally as accommodating. Would definitely stay here again.

I stayed in a 'no frills' single traveler room for £30 and that is exactly what I got!

Excellent location. Friendly, helpful staff. Breakfast served partly cold on both mornings to us and other guests. Obviously a problem in the the kitchen works. But we booked 'bed and breakfast' and they disappointed on half that package.

Hotel was ok. Our room was well decorated, comfy bed. Really liked the fact you could watch up to date DVDs in your room for free. Downer was the carpets to the bar were really dirty. But I'd stay again if I'm in the area.

The bed was comforable, but there were no curtains on a window above a cabinet with a toilet and shower in it. The wash hand basin was in the room. The room also had an ancient radio in it. The wall between our room and the next was very thin, thankfully no one was in it. There was creaking of floorboards above for some time which did not aid sleep. The hotel charged us full rate when there was a special offer on for the day. When we raised the matter with them they told us we had booked throught your site, and we had to pay the price that you charge. Clearly you get a cut in the money charged - we paid £70 and the special rate on the hotel website was £55.

My room stated it was No Frills but it was all I needed for the 1 night I was staying at East Beach Hotel. I had a bed, ensuite, mini bar, TV and a dvd player that can play music cd's too. The hotel has free internet and a DVD library which you can borrow at no cost. Breakfast was lovely and the hotel faces the beach on the Royal Parade. Would def stay here again.
