Fully endorse all the praise in previous reviewsI received a very prompt e-mail and telephone call to confirm the room for myself, daughter and 7 year old granddaughter. We were warmly welcomed and shown to our lovely, spacious and very comfortable family room which included a walk-in wardrobe! Everywhere in the hotel was tastefully furnished and decorated and emaculate. The beautifully cooked and served English breakfast was so full, we had to cut back after the first day! Earlston's 4 stars are well deserved and enthusiastically recommended.

Everything was so clean, including the skirting board! Bathroom was excellent, I'm very fussy but felt very comfortable using everything in this hotel. On our cold November weekend it was a pleasure to return, any time of day, to our well heated, comfortable room. Fantastic.

Great location as you can get to beaches on foot. Alternatively Kents Cavern, Paignton Zoo & Babbacombe Model Village are within short journey times in the car. Rooms recently furnishes & breakfast was delicious- they cater for you individually. Top guest house- very pleased we stayed here.

We were very impressed with Earlston House and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. We stayed in July and had fantastic weather. We had a superior room and it really was very nice especially the newly refitted bathroom with a roll top bath and separate shower cubicle. There is so much to do in the Torquay/Paignton area and we will definately be back!

We were warmly welcomed to the hotel and taken to our room which was extremely clean, well decorated and spacious (room 103). Although we ate out in the evenings, the cooked breakfasts were very good. We were hoping to return a couple of weeks later with our grandchildren and were assured they would be very welcome but unfortunately the family rooms were all booked. We will certainly return at some point and would wholeheartedly recommend Earlston House .

we only ate breakfast once. there was plenty of choice and the service was good, we liked the fact that little things were remembered like my parner, she'd never eaten black pudding, the lady recalled the fact and commented when we ordered. the room was clean, tidy and spaceous. the reviews you'll about the earlston house were correct! we tried to pick a hole, but the best we could come up with was maybe a larger shower unit. we had a very quite and relaxing stay.the owners solved all our questions about the area, including a cheaper taxi firm. ps visit the elephant in torquay for dinner, the tasting menu is an evening in its self

The hotel was easy to find with the directions we were given. The owners are new to the Hotel and had only been there just over a month so were still getting to 'know' the hotel. They were very friendly and helpful and made our stay very enjoyable.

We have been staying in hotels for many years in Paignton and Torquay and without doubt this is the best we have stayed in. We would both recommend Earlston House, and we will be staying there again.
