We enjoyed our stay at the Duxton. We had a Deluxe Spa Suite, and would love to go back again. The room had a little balcony with lovely view of the park. Lovely decor, and great cleanliness. We found the parking to be somewhat frustrating. After coming back to the hotel from a night out, it took us the longest time to find a park, and the car park was not easy to maneuver the car through. We also thought the breakfast was a complete rip-off, and there really was not a lot of selection for the price you pay. The staff were nice enough, but if there was a problem, they didn't seem to want to help in any way. The entrance & lobby were not very impressive. Only one staff member on the desk, so we had to wait a fair while to be served on check-in & check-out.

I came from another chain of hotels to the Duxton on Friday night. You could tell the difference in the qwuality of the bed and the towels. I did find there were little things that hadn't been picked up ie, missing salt shaker and bathroom plug, which I rang and told reception. Otherwise I

Some confusion at check out. I had to convince them of what the special deal meant as they tried to charge me for car park and breakfast. But they backed down quickly.

Dear Sir, I found the hotel luxurious and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. My one complaint would be that the air conditioning unit in the room was incredibly noisy and so impossible to use at night. I would recommend that they change to individual heat pumps.

We booked into a dulux spa room for a well earned evening of rest & relaxation. All the staff had a professional but friendly attitude. The room was excellent & exceeded our expectations. Thank you. We will return.

It is on quite a steep hill but as long as you are fit, it is only a 5 minute walk downhill to Queen Street and Aotea Square. All the staff were very helpful and polite. My only disappointment was that the hotel bar did not have a great choice of drinks and closed on the dot of 11pm.

Another awesome stay at the Duxton, great package deal an extra bonus. The Duxton is great for location, quietness and the added luxury of opening doors on to a balcony, great when the sun shines and fresh air drifts into your room!!
