Good room but dated underneathThe 'exec' room suffered from low ceilings and noisy floorboards due to pipes heating and cooling, there was also no air con so the roof rooms could get v hot in summer. Also there was no shower, just a bath. The duty manager happily moved me to a similarly low ceilinged room which was quieter. Food was high quality but I'd think twice about staying if you're a light sleeper. If you're okay sleeping and not fussed about a shower then it's better than some more expensive hotels.

Arriving at Duxford Lodge around 8pm on a chilly January evening we were greeted warmly by the receptionist and offered an upgrade to an Executive room. Therein lay the only problem with the whole experience - but more of that later.Everything was great - very comfortable room and bed, lovely grounds, free WiFi, friendly staff, warm throughout the building. The restaurant menu is a treat for a romantic break but a little expensive for a casual or business stay. However, the "Bistro" menu offers a good range of less expensive options (including a steak) with which we were served in the same dining room. Staff were always friendly and attentive. The only reservation ? - The Executive rooms have no shower !! Even more of a problem when you find that the bath seems to be the wrong way round. But don't let this put you off - it's a lovely place.

Freindly, quiet hotel with comfortable room and good breakfast. Good if you appreciate the more traditional English hotel rather than the really modern chain hotels.No complaints on any score except the floor boards creaked a bit !!

Hotel main building was lovely and the table d'hote dinner was excellent. My room was less good as it was a garden room, pleasant enough except that it was very musty and damp-smelling. If you stay here get a room in the main hotel instead.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. They were not able to help us when the available computer was not working properly. It was very convenient for us, as we visited the Duxford Imperial War Museum while in that area.

Quality of food was astonishingly good. Dinner from A la carte menu at around £35 + drinks could be pricy for some, but is more than made up for by the standard of cuisine.Rooms were good and everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. It's rare that I'm impressed enough to want to leave a review. Excellent Hotel.

Could find no fault, would definitely stay again. Everywhere throughtout the hotel was fresh and clean. Breakfast was good, but we ate out in the evening so unable to comment on dinner.
