stayed there the end of october the apartment was very nice and the price was reasonable, however if you plan on getting a good night sleep this is not the place to stay. Several nights they would rent out the function room located in the mall and use this room for a night club. The music was very loud and continued till four in the morning. Bring something to cover your ears if you plan on staying there.

I just returned from a one week trip to Ponta Delgada (azores, not madeira) during which I stayed in one of the Solmar Duplex apartments. The apartments are situated in the center of the city of Ponta Delgada on top of the only shopping mall on the island. The location is great, restaurants, bars and shops all on walking distance. From the apartment you have a nice view of the harbour. The apartment has a living room, a well equipped kitchen (coffee maker, washing machine etc), a bathroom, two balcony's and two large bedrooms. Overall the appartment is very clean, roomy and offers a superb location for discovering San Miguel. Highly recommended.
