We could tell it was once a lovely motel, but now it needs more rennnovating and repair.

Nothing! Musty. It smelled damp. The curtains were fallen off, (had to jerry rig them myself). Pillows were stained. No soap, noisy exhaust fan, Half roll of T.P. Tarps on roof for leaks, etc.

when we checked in the woman at the front desk did not speak or understand english very well. The room was clean but in need of major repairs. The bath room floor tile was loose and coming up, causing a tripping problem. The bath tub had been painted and the the paint was peeling and you had to be careful as to not cut your feet. There was only one bath towel and when I ask for another one the lady acted as if I had stolen a towel. On the second day the room was not cleaned, the bed not made , and no clean towels or wash cloths. In order to make the shower work I had to tighten the screw on the control knob.As far as We are concerned this was not even a good place to sleep. I will never stay there again, and would not send anyone to this place.

The rooms we had staying there were filthy and almost inhabitable. Missing headboards, curtains falling off window, tub filthy and totally unusable, no amenities like tissues, shampoo, wallpaper rotting off by heat, number missing off room door. Worst hotel we ever stayed at, and we've travelled extensively. Owners, however were very pleasant.

If the staff just took the time to clean the rooms, may be even put up a new coat of paint and fix the holes in the walls, this would be a semi-decent place to stay. We only stayed here because it was our only choice, I will not stay here again!

Bathroom update long since overdue at the Dunkirk. My wife and daughter wouldn't even go in them til I did a little clean up. (it was too late and we were too tired to ask for another room) Kitchen vanity falling apart. Paint peeling. Disgusting bathtub. Beyond description.

Could not call out without asking proprieter to open a phone line. The hotel was obviously outdated and in serious need of cleaning and redecorating. The windows were dirty, the bathtub contained peeling paint, and the towel rack was corroded. There was barely any toilet tissue, no facial tissues. When I asked for a line to call out with a phone card, I was given a local line that would not work. I needed to drive several miles to a pay phone. There did not appear to be any restaurants in the vicinity of the motel, but cereal and milk for breakfast at the motel was not appealing. Definitely not a two-star hotel and barely a one-star.

what a surprise we got when we checked in late Saturday night! This motel has been sorely neglected for MANY years, both in terms of maintenance and housekeeping. Immediately we were a little concerned when we were told that there was no number on our room; someone had stolen it a while ago--and no one had replaced it. The tub was so old and/or dirty that I wouldn't even shower. The towel rack was broken; there was no tissue in the dispenser; the curtains hadn't been laundered in who knows how many years; the door had layer upon layer of dirty finger prints; dead squashed bugs dotted the wallpaper near the lights. I could go on and on. What takes the cake is what happened when I tried to complain to the management in the morning. No one was around; there was a note on the counter that told us to leave the key. I rang, knocked, shouted for 5 minutes--but these people are clever. How can you respond to complaints when you don't show your face? So--please don't waste your time (and considerable money) at this motel. It is about the worst I have even stayed at, and we do travel a lot.
