Guests musty arrive at Browns Hotel, 89 Lower Gardiner Street, Dublin 1 to complete the check in process where they will be issued with keys for the adjacent apartments.The Apartments are situated on Mabbot Lane, just minutes from O'Connell Street, Dublin's main thoroughfare,and the International Financial Services Centre - Dublin's financial district. Dublin City Centre Apartments are located within ten minutes walking distance of Grafton Street and Temple Bar, and just ten minutes from Stephens Green, The National Gallery, The Natural History Museum, Government Buildings, and Dublin's other main business districts. They are also within close proximity to all of Dublin's major theatres and many other visitor attractions.

disappointedthe apartment was barely ready to move into. loose wires everywhere, most of the light bulbs were not working. we were on the 3rd floor and there was no lift and barely room to squeeze through the corridor. overall not a good expereience.

When we got in the taxi, there was a look of concern when we gave him the address - it is in area bordering the roughest part of Dublin. Not what you expect for 150 Euros a night.Handy for the town centre, but probably safer to get a taxi - to the door!!Booked 2 appartments, as travelling with a female colleague, but they only had one two room appartment - little bit uncomfortable running across the corridor in my underwear to get to the bathroom!The appartment furnishings were filthy, with stains on the sofa, damage to the walls, and the flooring was dirty.I have stayed in better traditional hotels in Dublin, for half the price.

I would recommend these appartments to everyone! thought they were amazing, such good value for money! I was worried about the area due to someone elses comment but it wasn't a problem at all. We were 5 mins from the big spike on o'connell street so it was a perfect location. Itis a serviced appartments so there were always clean towels! only downfall was the t.v but if your in dublin for the w-end then ur not there to watch t.v if i was staying for a week this would annoy me (apparently they were getting the tv fixed the day after we left though! ) loved my stay here they really should have pics of the appartment on the site to show that it's lovely as no pics put me off booking and i had nothing to be scare of cos they were lovely!

Stayed here recently in a 2 double bedded apartment with another couple and can honestly say I was hugely dissapointed! You firstly check in via a hotel around the corner, whilst the staff are polite, check in was very painful, luckily they had our booking, but whilst waiting the half hour it took to check in they had about 5 other people who had confirmations and no apartments were left! The first apartment only had one bedroom and it took another 45 minutes argueing to get what we had booked. Please be very careful if you book in there, these apartments are new and not yet finished. We had bare wires in the apartment, the kitchen was not finished, the workmen around the apartment block were messy and very very noisy, 8am starts drilling wasnt expected. Also the bathroom still had rough grout on the tiles, wasnt properly cleaned and again not finished, building dust everywhere. Luckily we only stayed the one night so we were not seriously effected, but if you are looking for a longer stay I would really think again unless you can get confirmation that these are 100% finished, when they are, they will be lovely. The location is great, only a couple of mins walk from O'Connell Street and the furnishings are very nice.

Amazingly spacious and well-equipped. The odd light bulb was missing, and I never did find the TV remote, and there was a little construction work going on downstairs but overall I wouldn't hesitate to recommend these apartments. O'Connell St just 5 minutes away.

When I got out of the taxi to check in to the Dublin City Centre Apartments at Brown's Hostel, I almost panicked. I don't STAY at hostels any more! However, once I checked in, I only had to walk 200 metres to the apartment building. The front door lock was broken, but the inner door was key-coded and secure. Security to my apartment door was also good. Once inside, the apartment was superbly kitted out. Fridge, cooker, microwave, washing machine, kettle, iron, ironing board, hair-dryer. All fittings were clean and new. The place settings were limited to 2 of everything. I didn't check out the cooking equipment, but there are plenty of Euro shops on Grafton Street to buy a saucepan if there was anything missing and you wanted to heat a tin of soup. The small TV would have been fine if the antennae outlet worked. I needed a wire coat hanger for an aerial, but there were only plastic ones in the wardrobe. The bedroom safe had no batteries. And wasn't bolted to the floor or wall! No phone. But everyone has mobiles nowadays. Of course, if you need to have dial-up access to the internet, consider other options. There were several internet work stations in the lobby of Brown's, and I reckon the Fon wireless coverage will soon help solve those internet access problems. The bed was a tad small (140x190). But I was by myself, so no problem. When I return with my wife, I think we'll be a little cramped, but that's something you get used to, traveling in France. The bathroom was very smart. The rubber seal on the bottom of the shower glass didn't stop the water gushing over the floor. But a towel sorted that out the second day. There was a small balcony. Access from the outside seemed difficult so I'd say it is pretty secure. It only had a view of a courtyard, but I wasn't expecting herds of wildebeest.., Location is excellent. 100m from Grafton Street, 300m from O'Connell Street.I checked out at 3.30 am (early flight), but had been assured the front desk was manned 24 hours. This hotel was more than I expected! It's centrally located and right off the main street. It was spacious, especially compared to Dublin hotel rooms. The apartment did not have a phone that worked and did not have a lift. Someone was right there to help me with my bags though. I had to walk to the hotel to grab a taxi, etc. Besides that, I definitely recommend this place and will be back!

The apartment itself was lovely - all very new and modern decor and very clean, however make sure you don't stay in the ground floor apartments as the outer front door bangs shut very noisily and the entrance is not behind the extra security door which might feel a little unsafe in this area. We stayed on the top (3rd) floor (apt. no.10) which is a two-bed (one double, one twin) apartment and I think is a good choice if you don't mind the stairs (no lift). On the negative side, our apartment was a bit lacking in equipment (e.g. cups/glasses) and there was no key for the balcony door which would have been very dangerous in the case of a fire as there'd have been no way out. The downside of the apartment is the location... Although very central and great for transport links since close to the bus/train stations and the tram stop and only a 5min walk to O'Connell Street, the area is pretty rough and scruffy (plently of drunks around!) and we had rubbish and broken bottles on the alley leading to the apartment.Overall, it was a good choice for us (family weekend away with grown-up kids) and seemed to be much better value than a hotel of a similar quality, especially given how central it was. I would definitely consider staying there again, however, I think if I could afford to stay in a smarter area than this, I might splash out...

Apartments are situated in the rougher part of Dublin but no real problem.They have the potential to be great but need a few finishihg touches ie better TV, more thought in the kitchem equipment etc. No lifts available and internally some are 2 storey so if you are less mobile this may be a problem.

1. Area of Dublin not tourist friendly, surrounded by cheap, budget type B&B type hotels.2. Apartments did not have a telephone line/connection.3. Once checked into apartments at hotel/hostel reception a walk is required to the rear of the building which is quiet, isolated and definitely not a desirable area especially for anyone walking on their own, those with a young family or anyone who looks vaguely \"touristy\". The rear of the buildings is frequented by let's just say \"undesirables\" at night.4. I checked out after one night's stay and would have checked out earlier had I not arrived too late in the evening to move to somewhere else.5. A climb of 3 floors is required with no assistance available with luggage from reception.6. Internal stairs in apartment are extremely steep and in my opinion not suitable for the very young or old.7. Apartment is finished to a high standard and is very comfortable.8. Negatives FAR outweigh the positive to stay here or recommend it to anyone I know.
