Wish that I didn't need a car to get to the convention center. The decor was comforting instead of being old and tired as is mostly the case of other hotels.

Had breakfast and snacks. Wouldn't allow me to change to a different hotel that was closer where I needed to go although it's the same hotel name. This looked like a nice hotel and it was. I found the help wasn't as lean as we would like. The sheets weren't clean since my sister found hair etc. On her sheets. It was changed after informing the front desk. The manager was friendly sine she had just started shortly after we arrived. Things were okay overall.

The Drury is great. The breakfast and "happy hour" are a great little perk when on the road. It made the mornings easy and the evening a little more entertaining than just going back to your room at the end of the day. It would be nice if drinks were served later for the after dinner crowd to eliminate the free drinking followed by driving out for dinner. As it is, couples can still have a designated driver, but; it would be a more romantic situation if both could ralax with a drink ater dinner and then just walk up to their room. No driving!

Previous reservation had been made. Very quick check in and check out. Very efficient. Very friendly staff. Hotel appears to be realtively new. Elevator, hallways and room were clean. Bathroom was clean. Quikstart Breakfast in the morning was nice. Overall the outside and the inside appeared very well maintained. Would not hesitate to stay again.

The breakfast was good, adn there was popcorn and soda available in the lobby all the time. There was also a cocktail hour that we took advantage of. The pool was half-inside, half-outside, and was a good size.

Location. Staff. Beds are not queen size, but full size. Not big enough for wife and husband. Check-in staff attitude was hurry up and get out of here.Hotel was clean, room was clean, but small. Breakfast was good.

There was an error with my reservation. Resulting, I had to be placed in the ""meeting room"". I proceeded to check into my room and noticed a nasty smell as soon as I attempted to get onto the elevator. As I approached the elevator from the outside, I noticed the hot tub and the pool. HORRIBLE!!! It looks as though you would contract a foot fungus. The only good thing about my actual room was the newly-rennovated bathrooms! The room itself had a gloomy, old feel to it with nasty bedding and old furniture. Avoid if possible!!!

This hotel was first class at a bargain price. It is localted in a surprisingly upscale area with great shopping and restaurants. I will look for Drury again. The room was much nicer than Holiday Inn or Marriott.

The desk attendant and all workers are great and the breakfast was above average. The beds were not comfortable. Overall experience was good. The indoor pool and hot tub was nice. The comfort level of the beds needs some testing, but overall was good stay.

Rooms were nice and big and clean. The breakfast was great along with the free evening beverages. I have never stayed at a Drury Inn before and I just really like the hotel. We could see it from the interstate making it easier to find.

Bed was very comfortable. Bathroom ceiling was low. Great hotel at a great price.

Front desk staff was the best. The overall stay was very nice. Best hotel in Birmingham for this area, by far. The roll away beds need to be replaced with something new! The general manager was the best. The front desk staff was the best. The overall stay was very nice. Best hotel in Birmingham for this area, by far! My family and I will stay here again in April 2010! (And again and again). LOVED it! Good, clean place to rest your head.

Friendliness of the desk clerk. Traffic, lobby, eating area were loud. Located in a suburb of downtown B'ham. Close to restaurants, shopping centers and just 10 minutes from the Galleria Mall. Right by 459 and 280. Easy to get back on to 280 to 459. Getting off 459 south to the hotel was a mess! Once you circle around a loop, you run into traffic that has exited from 459 north. Vehicles from both exits are trying to cross over lanes from one side to the other. Not very safe at that point.

The beds were really soft and we enjoyed the evening snacks & drinks.

Breakfast was included and was outstanding, also free happy hour from 5-7pm. The hot tub was only lukewarm, but I'm sure that was for safety reasons. We were surprised to get such a nice place. The counter people were extremely friendly and caring, not only to us but to all the other guests also. It was centrally located so that there was no problem finding stores and restaurants. Overall my son and I had one of the best little getaways a Father and Son could have ever planned, and this was in part because of the hotel we stayed at which was The Drury Inn.

Nothing it was a wonderful stay. This hotel was better than I expected it to be. My son and I got free breakfast, a fridge, and microwave. We even got free popcorn and soft drinks they have in the lobby nightly. We were in a great area close to shopping and anything we wanted to eat. We would without a thought stay there again.
