Have a restful sleep in our orthopedic king size beds and then set yourselves up for the day with one of our hearty award-winning breakfasts (we have won awards for our breakfasts!) an essential, before taking on the challenge of Carne golf links. Contact us for our very special 'Stay and Play' golf offers with Carne Golf Links, Belmullet Co. Mayo. A further array of activities also awaits you, including windsurfing, sailing, canoeing, fresh water fishing and angling. Our amazing cliffs and beaches are there just for you to explore. Our guests comment about our openness and the time we spend with them giving them information and maps so that they can maximise on their time in the area. You can also keep in touch with your family and business by wireless lan all through the house. PC is also provided for guest use as is an honesty bar and a book swap basket. What are your breakfast options?: We have a fruit salad dresser, four fresh fruit salads in season and a prune, apricot and fig compote, with various yoghurts and seeds. On another dresser we have our cereals and Linwoods ground mixes. For cooked breakfast, guests have a choice of all the components of the Irish breakfast, eggs fried scrambled, poached and fried plus tomatoes and mushrooms. We also serve pancakes, eggs Benedict and a local potato pancake called Boxty. The last three dishes would be specials of the day. We also have a Nespresso machine in the dining room and have an espresso machine in the kitchen. Breakfast starts at 6:30 am and finishes at 11:00 am.
What transport is available to get around?: Tír Sáile Sculpture Trail:
Because of where the sculptures are situated they are not serviced by public transport. All of the sculptures are situated in areas of amazing scenery and guests would usually tie in a walk with a visit to one or other of the sculptures as part of a daily activity. If guests don't have their own transport we leave them off at a particular point and arrange to collect them in the evening. The area is very safe and guests hitch lifts home as well. We also have a good taxi service in and around the town. Tír Sáile trail stretches from Blacksod point to Killala a journey of about 40 miles, so if you wished to visit them all it would be best to have your own transport.
What can I do nearby?: Unique to our area are the following: Tír Sáile Sculpture Trail, Carne Golf Links (built on huge sand dunes), Céide Fields (5000-year-old archaeological site with an amazing Interpretative Centre) and many more interesting things to do and see.
