I had a nice stay at this motel, very clean, and the staff were very friendly. There have a cool sports bar and grill also. I will say here again...also, they are pet friendly.

Warning to all guests, The first time i stayed here the room was huge, it had brand new everything. Nice tv clean bathrooms, the works. The very next weekend i decided to stay there again with some friends that came to town. They happen to smoke so the only difference in my reservation was a smoking room. It was the same price and same size as i had booked the previous weekend. Turns out the smoking room which was on the 2nd floor unlike the weekend before on the 1st, was about 1/4 the size of the other room, the tv was tiny, old, and barely worked, cigarette burns in the bed, bathrooms were disgusting and the bottom of the mini fridge (which was half the size of the one in the other room) was literally rusted out. They are pretty shady about how they charge so make sure to ask to see the room and call them on it if they say its the last room. Also mention that you know they charge the same rates for crummy rooms as they do for good ones.

When we got there, they told us it was the last room. We spoke to several other guest that checked in after us, and they told them it was the last room also. They would charge different amounts to each person, each time, the rate went up, up to $80 difference. They have 3 buildings. If you are black, they put you in the building that is the maintenance shed on the second floor. There was no latch, chain, or dead bolt on the room door, just the cheapest door knob from walmart. The TV was missing buttons, and I almost electroquted myself when I accidentally stuck my finger in the whole where the missing button was. The remote really didn't work, so I had to use the remote, and walk over and push buttons on the TV. Housekeeping kept trying to come in while we were taking a shower, and we requested a late checkout. It was really only 11:05 when housekeeping kept opening the door. There was no chain or anything on the door, so we couldn't lock it. We checked out at 11:20, but it was not fast enough for housekeeping. The room was not cleaned well before we got there, becuase there was somebody else's clothes in the room that they already left. The toilet holder was broken, so they just put the tissue on the back of the toilet. Half the stuff in the room was broken, and there was mildew on the floor, yes floor, in the bathroom. Make sure you wear shoes in the bathroom and shower. There was only one small window 2x3 in the room, and it had a window air conditioner in it. The staff was not a friendly hotel staff. It seemed like we were bothering them everytime we needed something, or even when we wanted to check in. The only good thing about the motel was the location. Other than that, avoid the place at all cost. The parking lot looked like a junk yard due to the construction with all the trash everywhere.

This motel is the best. It took 5 minutes to walk to the beach. The pool is the largest on the island. The atmosphere was very resort-like but family oriented. We sat at the pool and got to know other guests and ended up cooking out with 2 other families. I highly recommend this motel and will come back every year for my vacation. Kudos to the owner David for being so hands on. He came out and introduced himself to everyone. I love this motel. Desk and housekeeping staff were equally friendly and eager to help at a moments notice. LOVE IT
