We enjoyed all 3 pools, 5 restaurants, and the Spa. This hotel also had an entertainment team that put on movies, a fireshow, and a circus. We had such a great time!

All inclusive. Check in was a little rough but worth it. Great for honeymooners. You don't have to leave the hotel. Family friendly. Overall a dream.

It was excellent all way around. Compared to a cruise of last year, this was by far a better deal in all areas. The staff, the facility, the all inclusive and the safety of the resort was amazing. Staff were great and helped with anything you asked about. Food, pools, scenery was absolutely fantastic. Loved it and will be going back again.

My fiance and I went to this hotel as a romantic getaway after our engagemnet party. The first day we were most impressed but then we both came down with FOOD POISONING which turn a potentially amazing vacation into a horrible one. I am not sure what food is bad or if it was the water or ice they served but my fiance never gets sick! When he went to Morrocco everyone in his group got sick except for him. He was sick for three days, and I was sick for two days. We also heard many other people hitting the bathrooms complaining. Also, beware that there are a lot of insects so keep your balconies closed at all time. If we weren't sick, here is what I would say about the hotel: 1) Excellent service and very friendly staff! 2) Rooms are just okay in the old tower but all with excellent views. If you stay in the old tower be sure to get a balcony. We were able to see the penthouse suite as well as junior suite with jacuzzi--I recommend upgrading to the junior suite with the jacuzzi on the balcony... very romantic. 3) The ocean is murky and not very clean, at least the month we went. 4) Rained every night, but clear during the day at least 5) Restaurants are great (if food wasn't bad) and the Oceana has the best SEABASS! 6) Should have more restaurants open for lunch 7) Great 24-hour room service but should include hard liquor or bottles of wine/champagne 8) Adult pool not big enough and too many people save chairs with towels early in the morning 9) Puerto Vallarta is a hideous town, but worth checking out

Beautiful facility and location. Loved the private beach. Their reservation system needs some serious work.

Just came from this resort ? 3 families with kids. We choose this resort because of friend?s recommendation and because of the rating and reviews. Nice vacation but not without a glitch. Hotel is very nice but small(B), beach is very good(B+), but the waves doesn?t let you enjoy the water(C+), the food is great(A- - only because we were in the Valentine Imperial where the food was top notch), Entertainment is good(B), resort lacks premium liquors and bartenders doesn?t know how to make nice drinks(B). The main pool is dirty and no one cares to clean it(C), but otherwise the territory is clean(B+). But what was a surprise is the service ? lack of it. The service is completely dependent on the tips ? tips you pay in advance! No tips ? no service. On the first day we went to Oceana restaurant. You cannot make a reservation, so we got a beeper and waited 50 minutes to be seated. When we start ordering the food and one of my friends ordered 2 appetizers, the waiter said that he is ordering TOO MUCH FOOD. We all were just shocked to hear this! After a minute of silence we asked for the manager ? the waiter took the orders and disappears - was hiding. My friend with his 10 years old daughter took a kayak ? on they way back the wave turned it upside down and the one of the plastic paddle got broke ? to our complete surprise he was charged $ for it. Should be any guests charged for broken glass or chair or paddle? Have more examples, but limit is 300 words.

Everything about this hotel was wonderful EXCEPT for the rooms. The restaraunts were awesome with gourmet meals! The staff were extremely courteous and helpful. The pools were nice. The spa experience was awesome. The location was great because you have the lush mountains and a private beach. The ride to town was only about 10 minutes. Unfortunately, the only bad thing was the rooms. The couch and bed skirts were visibly dirty, which made it hard to relax. We put a sheet on the furniture because we felt uncomfortable sitting on a dirty couch. One of the comforter covers was torn. The beds were as hard as a rock! The room was the only negative aspect of this hotel. If the rooms were improved with new furniture, beds, and linens, I would definitely stay again!!! Would I stay again under the same circumstances- maybe for a GOOD price. The most memorable thing that I will remember forever was the turtle release program. The sea turtles come at night and lay eggs on the beach. The hotel protects the eggs from the guests by removing them and placing them in a safe place to hatch. Once the turtles hatch, the guests get to help release the turtles to the sea. They said that 1 out of 100 turtles survive in nature but with the release program it is 10 in 100. It was an amazing experience to hold the turtles and see them go to the water.

My husband and I just got back from a week at this resort. We could not have had a better experience - superb food, outstanding service, clean, lots of activities if you want or just relaxing and doing nothing. Rooms were superbly maintained and staff was friendly and helpful. Your 5 minutes from town ( 4 dollars US ) which is quite nice, good shops, restaurants, clubs etc. The private beach is nice since you were not constantly bombarded by vendors - the spa is terrific as well. We had the romantic dinner on the beach - very nice experience. We will go back.

we really enjoyed this hotel, this was by far the best all-inclusive hotel we've stayed at. The service was good, if a little slow-but thats everywhere in mexico-and the resturants were all pretty good, and there is lots to choose from. With three pools and three hot-tubs, none were ever to crowded, and te location was really great. Its secluded and private, but only 5 minutes into town. We would definently go again!

it was great to get away and relax for our entire stay. the staff was very courteous and helpful. the food was fantastic and the drinks were plentiful! as a newlywed couple, there were plenty of activities to participate in, but we were never bugged by staff to do a single thing. couldn't have asked for a better view from our balcony... by far the most enjoyable vacation we have been on thus far! had an issue with the satellite tv, and after making a phone call, maintenance was up to the room within 5 minutes and the problem was taken care of immediately.

I've stayed at the Palace Resorts in the past which are a 5 star so I was a little surprised when we first entered the hotel expecting it to be a little more luxurious, however what they lacked in luxury they made up for in other ways. We stayed in the old tower and from what I heard we would have had more luxurious rooms in the preferred tower, I just didn't want to spend the extra money. The rooms in the old tower were fine and spacious, just older. The grounds were very nice and tropical, the staff was extremley friendly and helpful. I loved the bar service on the beach (who wouldn't!) and the private beach was beautiful...we boogie boarded with the rays! I was also impressed with the two dinners on the beach. At other resorts you would pay probably $80 extra to do an excursion to have dinner on the beach with a show. We went as a couple, but wouldn't hesitate to bring my school age son next time as there would be plenty to keep him occupied. I loved the location because you felt like you were isolated (and I felt very safe in the gated hotel) on your own remote tropical location. I didn't want to feel surrounded by the city, and I definitly didn't here. I also liked that it was only 30min to the airport, 10 min to downtown, 30 min from the marina and only 30-40 min when we went ziplining (totally AWESOME) in the jungle. Dreams is worth what you pay for it...not doubt. If you like to eat, drink and enjoy the provided activites it's a great deal.

Our vacation date also happened to fall on the 4th of July Holiday. We were pleasantly surprised when the entire hotel staff threw a huge celebration for us complete with tons of American flags, American food, & American music. They had also planned a fireworks show, but unfortunately it was rained out. Many of the staff members were dressed in red, white, & blue & also had American flags painted on their faces. How awesome, when we were in THEIR country. To top it off, they even sang the National Anthem. They made a huge deal of it & we felt right at home. The food is awesome at this resort. Favorite rest. was Portofino's. Yum yum!! We however were not impressed with the Mexican rest. We didn't visit them again after going once. Also, prepare to tip. It is not expected and is suppose to be included, but everybody tips. We felt very safe at this hotel! They always made us check out when we left the resort & check in so they knew you were safe. Great entertainment including live bands, circus, fire dancers, movies on the beach & so much more. We do plan to return. The beds are really the only downside, they are pretty hard. Staff will cater to your every need 24/7. They are BIG on customer service. Lisa from Kansas

All three pools were filthy! Ring of scum around the outside and some moldy spots. Had never been to an all-inclusive before, did not expect other guests to be so pushy and demanding. The beach was okay, but nobody cleaned up their trash, towels etc. Have had friends who stayed at Dreams and thought it was great, but we would not stay again.

A wonderful place to stay. The staff is excellent, the sunsets are as beautiful as the people. I can't wait to go back.
