It all started even before we set our foot on the Mexican soil. We had picked this hotel from the database of our timeshare exchange company. The moment we had the exchange go through we were bombarded with the phone calls from the hotel stating that we MUST pay all-inclusive fee in front (even though it was February and our travel was scheduled for July) or they'll cancel the exchange. It took a lot of calling to the exchange company's reps and their calling to the hotel to make sure they live us alone. Then they've sent us a welcome letter stating that they'll help with the transportation, for the fee, of course. We, unfortunately, agreed. As we landed in Cabo we realized that we could grab a taxi for the half of that price, but it was too late and the money paid for the transportation was not refundable. In the hotel we were constantly bombarded by the reps from the time share sales office giving us a ton of lame reasons as to why we MUST attend the time share sales presentation. To make sure we can have a nice rest of vacation we agreed for the 90 minutes of that torture. 90minutes has become 2 hours, but who counts, right? and after that, since we did not want to buy anything they've forgotten of all the perks they've promised to us to attend the presentation. I really did not care much being happy that they left us alone, but my wife was pretty ticked off because of that, but of course, you could not find anyone anymore ALL OF THE SUDDEN, to find out what happened to all those promises. There was a humongous diesel truck doing something right on the beach all week. Listen, maybe the time to do things on the beach is in the off season??? There were 3 weddings in the hotel. 2 on the 3rd of July and one on the 4th. So, with all the brides, grooms, bridesmaids and best men all over the place the hotel looked like a Zoo. Beisdes the fact that most of them and their invited friends were so drunk that instances of people being completely out of comtrol were just as common as the birds and lizards trying to snatch things out of your plate. Staff did not pay much attention to all of that. One thing about the staff. On their website they say that ALL, I repeat, ALL of the staff members are bilingual. Yea, right. They may be bilingual, but the second language is not English, that's for sure. The entertainment group is a bunch of loooosers. They were so lame, people did not even want to bother to pay attention to them. Drinks in the bar were OK as long as you would tell the bartender Exactly! what you want, otherwise they'll poor some stuff that would, most likely, be used in the engines as degreaser.

When we booked this vacation, I was worried about some of the reviews I read about the resort. We had a great time at Dreams Resorts in Cabos. I would definitely do it again or visit another Dreams resort. The staff was really friendly. Food was great. There is tons of activities you can join, or you can hang out at the quiet pool for relaxation. The walk on the beach was incredible. The room we stayed in had an incredible view, I think every room I checked out (friends stayed at) had a great view. So you can't go wrong. This was our first ALL INCLUSIVE vacation and it was worth it. We tipped our staff on occasion, but I made sure I gave the ones I liked most a good tip the day we were leaving. If you can, stay at the resort on Whale Season. We saw the whales everyday. It was incredible. Trust me, you will enjoy it and will miss it when you leave!!

I felt this was an excellent all-inclusive experience. My expectations were pretty low as far as the food quality was concened and that may be why it far exceeded what we expected. The staff was very friendly and the serice was all around good. Plenty of activities if you choose to partcipate. Pub Crawl is a must if you want a fun night out. You never had to wait to get a drink or assistance for whatever you needed. The views from the room and pool area are awesome. We found that there was a constant attempt to keep the entire facility clean and presentable. We knew going in that you could not swim in the ocean in front of the hotel and how far it was from downtown so that was not an issue for us but take note if it matters. You have access to the beach you just can't swim in it beacuse of the under-tow in that location. All in all I would highly recommend this location if you are going to Cabo.

7 days 12/6/08-12/13/08. Plenty of staff, attentive, and polite. Service is excellent. Very clean room with additional nightly turn down service. Fridge is kept stoked with cokes, bottle water and beer (shorties of Corona and Pacifica). Ran low twice and was restocked within 15 min after call to front desk. Good for quiet getaway. This is not a party resort, which was fine by us. Can always go to Cabo if that is your bag. Pool is very nice. Sunrises over ocean - sunsets behind mountain. Ocean swimming is a 15 min walk to a safe bay. Nice walk with pelicans diving for lunch. Very safe beach in romote area. Vendors are kept behind tape and are not a hassle. ( Lobby bar pours best drinks and great view. pool bars and beach swing bar pour less but just ask for a double. Food is just OK. Better than average Mexican all inclusive but not up to american standards. Buffet rest. has wide variety and cooking stations. Italian Rest. just ok Didn't like the seafood rest. The Asian rest. we were very pleased with. We would go back

My husband and I just returned from our vacation stay at Dreams and we were very pleased with the accomidations and facility. We were a bit concerned about the food since so many of the reviews were negative, but we were very pleased with the food. The hotel was clean and our room was just beautiful. The staff was very attentive and we felt very well taken care of throughout our stay. We enjoyed the homemade guacamole and club sandwiches during the day by the pool and each evening we ate at a different restraunt and found all the food to be great, we were also served premium liquors and all the drinks were great! We were celebrating our 8th wedding anniversary and were greeted the second night we were there with candles and rose petals all over the room when we returned from dinner. We were served breakfast in bed the next morning all arranged by the awesome staff. We had a fantastic time and would stay at Dreams again.

We were a little apprehensive after reading some of the reviews before our trip. I would like to say on behalf of myself, my husband, daughter and son-in-law that from the time we arrived for check-in until we checked out it was wonderful. The entire staff was friendly and very helpful. We enjoyed every moment of our vacation and will return next year as well as recommend this resort to all of our friend and families.

This was our second time here and our first vacation without our children. We had a wonderful time. The entertainment staff does a good job getting people involved with the activities and really make it fun. The restaurants were wonderful. Every meal we had was great. The Itallian restaurant was the best!! The staff were very friendly. We even got upgraded to a governer's suite for free! What a room!!! We would definitely come back again!

Have stayed here 3 times starting in 2000 - steadily falling downhill. Way overpriced! The room this past time was dirty, i.e paint, broken and cracked wall finish. Serious need of maintenance. Front desk staff rude. It is expensive to/from town. There is good though. The crashing waves at the beach creates a soothing atmosphere. Poolside staff is great. Tip them and they're even better. This hotel was awesome 5 years ago. But a shell of what it was. Do yourself a favor and look for something closer to town. It's where the fun is. If you're only going tp get away from it all, this may be OK if your willing to sacrifice quality.

I have been to Cabo before with my family and had a wonderful time. I wanted to share Cabo with my boyfriend on our first extended trip together. There were several things about Cabo I didn't remember, like how rocky and dry it is. The resorts themselves are nice but the beach is rocky and the scenery coming in is pretty ugly. A few disappointments about this resort. I was very dissatisfied with the food. I don't expect five star cuisine at an all-inclusive, but have stayed at several and this was by far the worst (especially the italian restaurant). I liked the Japanese restaurant but have heard it made several people sick. I am home sick from work today writing this, sick from something we ate there. The margarita was horrible too. The pool is very small and needs updated chairs and the bar could use a facelift. Since you can't swim in the ocean, the pool should be an exquisite sanctuary. The rooms were nice but dark in the bathroom and humid and the staff was generally very friendly.

This was a beautiful clean propoerty. The room were big the pools were great and we had great weather. The only negative on this property was the food, it was awful! I think our first meal set the tone, we got some bbq chicken wings, which we didn't order, but ate anyways. My husband ate one wing and the chicken was raw! Not good. The did not do a great job making basics like nachos, they used stadium cheese out of a can. Having said that everything else was so great I would still recommend this hotel. After staying there a few days you can figure out how to eat well.

Overall, my husband and I were very disappointed with this resort and it did not meet our expectations. The only positives were that the food was decent, though there was not much of a variety and the SPA. I would recommend Portofino, the Italian restaurant, but get there early because the average wait is 30 mins. to get a table. Negatives: 1. Construction was going on at the resort. You couldn't lay out by one of the pools without a jack-hammer in your ear. 2. The electricity went out during our stay. I have a feeling it was due to the construction, but the front desk acted as if they were unaware as to why. 3. Hotel rooms were not well maintained. Our room flooded when it rained and the a/c unit didn't work. We were forced to move to a down graded room because there were no other rooms comparable to the one we had. The front desk was not apologetic at all for the inconvenience. I understand if the hotel is full, but a simple 'I'm sorry, can I offer you a bottle of wine or a SPA coupon.' might have helped the situation. 4. You can't swim in the ocean, apparently the tide is too strong. 5. The staff was not friendly at all. Rarely were we greeted with a smile. 7. Don't fall for the free breakfast offer at one of the sister resorts. It is a 2-hr sales pitch for a time-share. It is very unfortunate that the trip was so disappointing. I will not stay at another Dreams resort, nor will I ever recommend this hotel to anyone.

My wife and I chose Dream Los Cabos for our a get away for our 5 year anniversary. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The food wasn't bad (wasn't great either) and after trying all of the restaurants we spent our last few days eating mainly at El patio. The wait staff were always nice, polite and accomodating. The entertainment staff always had something going on and went above and beyond in provding us with something to do. Yes, it was a long drive to either town but it made for a couple of good day trips. Going snorkeling on the Spin Doctor was awesome. Our worst experience involved the airport staff when we landed acting like she was a Dreams representative with our best interest at heart, lesson learned....don't pre-pay for anything related to your trip at the airport!! The next worst experience was sitting through the time share presentation at a sister resort, I thought the timeshare salesman in Vegas was pushy but they had nothing on this guy...."If you choose not to buy we part friends, but if you do buy we part best friends!" haha..... after finding out that the package we were interested in cost the same as a small house I don't think we parted as friends. The shopping and activities in Los Cabos was great and in all it was definitely worth the money!!

My husband and I went to Dreams for our honeymoon. Eight months later, I am still dealing with the aftermath of severe food poisoning, which was speculated by doctors to be E-coli. We both got sick on our very first day, after we ate our very first meal. We were in great health before this (we're fitness trainers). In the matter of the 4 days, we both lost nearly 20lbs., had temperatures of 105, and couldn't even eat. We were confined to our beds and could only get up to dart to the bathroom. We did receive medical attention from a traveling doctor, but it was challenging to get a hold of him. Instead of him checking on us, we had to call him when we needed his attention. At this all-inclusive hotel, we weren't even provided with Powerade. The staff told us that it didn't matter how sick we were, we had to walk down to the gift shop and purchase the drinks. The manager was extremely reluctant to deal with our situation and protested it was the resort's food that had made us sick. When we finally gathered enough strength to go to the airport, another couple on our flight, who stayed at Dreams, was starting to deal with the exact same senario. The girl got off the flight in a wheelchair. My husband is still trying to gain back the weight he lost, and I am still dealing with issues that a gastrointestinal specialist can't put his finger on (no pun intended). We also had a great deal of difficulty getting our money refunded (even w/ travel insurance). Hotel management ignored our e-mails and certified letters. It wasn't until we complained on squeakywheel.com, 6 months later, that our money was refunded, but not in full, however.

i am a worldwide traveler and do all inclusives. we booked adjoined jr suites only to be told upon chk in they do not do that. it cost me 500.00 more. the rooms were very nice. all the food is horrible, yuck. the atm machine ate my card the 1st day . only did the female behind the desk tell me it always happens. we could not shower for 2 days, no hot water and they had the nerver to tell me i was showering the same time as everyone else. service was ok but when it is booked it stinks. stay away from the main pool. cannot swim on the beach or lay by it, vicious. far from cabo, 30 bucks each way for a family. the food is sooooooooooooo bad. the canopy ziplne tour was cool. dolphns were nice but misleading. the beds are so uncomfortable that i ordereda roll out. pull ouc couches stinks. water pressure is the worst. everyone we spoke to got sick from the japanese rest. italian was horrendous. for the money we spent it was so not worth it. i would tell you to look elsewhere, really. our boys, 7 & 9 loved the kids club but all they ate were hamburgers and nuggets. they did not offer real food. not worth the money, no way. do not go, look elsewhere. as i said, i worked for the airlines and have stayed at many all inclusives. i would never go back!!!!!!!

We recently stayed at Dreams and had a wonderful time. I was a little concern since several of the reviews were not good, but I must say we loved the food it was delicious the room was the best. We stayed in the honeymoon suite and it was simply wonderful, fully cleaned everyday, in the morning and evening. The service was awesome! We are already planning our trip next year to stay at Dreams.

There were so many things that made Dreams the perfect vacation, the resort staff is excellent and very friendly, Pedro at the pool made sure we were supplied with cold water and drinks often, Jorge at the Rendevous entertained us by making us Mexican coffees for a nightcap. Though other reviews complained about the food, we found it very good with plenty of selections. We loved the location of our room, the view of the ocean and pool were perfect and our room was cleaned early every day and the bed was very comfortable. Some other complaints we had read were about the ocean and not being able to swim, we loved the location because the ocean and waves were amazing to watch and listen to, and a short 15 minute walk and there was a perfect ocean swim near the Melia. We were celebrating our 25th Wedding Anniversary and another couple had also travelled with us, all four of us have travelled many other locations together and separately and Dreams was by far our favorite location.

The resort is small and relaxing, so don't expect tons of events or activities while at the hotel. We loved the small, cozy feel of the property, our room was excellent, our service impeccable, the food was good and overall our stay was superb. While at the pool, we were waited on hand and foot, didn't have to do much except move with the sun and drink and eat until sundown. The restaurants were quite good for breakfast and lunch while dinner was pretty good. Our favorite spot for dinner was Portofino as was for most other guests, so go early or late. In closing, we loved the hotel, had a great experience and would recommend it highly.

My husband and I planned a vacation getaway to your Los Cabos resort on Dec.9 thru Dec.12 for our anniversary. We arrived on Dec.9 around 3 pm. Right after checking in, and being ready to go relax after a long flight, a lady told us she would show us around the hotel really fast. She went into over a half hour speech on time shares, after I told her NO several times, and that we aren't going to buy. She was so persistent, and finally we got up and said we are leaving. That set our vacation off to a bad start. On the way up to the room, we get hit up AGAIN by another man trying to sell us a time share. We just kept walking and totally ignored him. The food was gross. Seriously gross. I couldn't wait to get back to the airport to have a decent sandwich. The service is average, I was missing 20 dollars from my room after the maid left, and the downtown area is a paradise if you are 18 yrs old and never been to a bar. It is FILTHY, terrible food and overpriced. I would never go to Los Cabos again, let alone this hotel. GO TO SANDALS RESORTS, the best all inclusives. This was a waste of money. PS Los Cabos is very expensive too! You always feel like someone is buggin you for money or a tip. I hate that! Jamaica here we come next year... Los Cabos is gross.
