This is very nice hotel. One of the best I have stayed at in NYC.

The Dream Hotel is a nice place to stay. It has a cool dreamy style with blue lights throughout the room and a really cool tube aquarium in the lobby. Everybody was friendly and made you feel welcome and the service was good. It is a nice part of the city too. I would definitely consider returning to the Dream Hotel.

Very small space for such price. Website was accurate in stating small room. However it was much too small for the price paid. Could have stayed in a hotel, bit further away, but compensated by the large space. No room to even put the luggage. And coffee/tea maker.... For NY that is low standard

My fiance and I went last weekend Nov 14th - 16th. The hotel was in a great location! Central Park, FAO Schwartz, Broadway, Rockafeller Center were only a few blocks away. I highly encourage you to go to the Rock...the top of GE Building. It is 20$ but well worth the money, the views are amazing!! The room was a bit smaller than a normal room, but you are in NY and the price was very reasonable compared to the other hotels so we didnt mind it at all. This was our first weekend visit to NY and we are planning our next one to the Dream Hotel as we speak. Everyone at the hotel was polite as well as the cleaning staff. We arrived Friday night at 10pm exhausted and the room was set up so nice with apples on the bed and the lighting in the room was amazing. We each took an apple, changed our clothes and headed out to the town that never sleeps....

I'm not sure where all of the hate for Dream comes from. The staff was absolutely great and the service was top notch. We did not have a room near the club on the top floor, but heard it was fairly rowdy. If we were right beneath it, we probably would have been mad. The stay was great. The location is perfect, 2 blocks south of Central Park, right across the street from the Ed Sullivan Theatre (Dave Letterman), just a few blocks north of Times Square and it has a subway entrance to several train lines right on the corner of the same block. Seems like everything we wanted to do was within walking distance. If it wasn't, we just hopped on the subway!Yes, the rooms are small, but you are in midtown in an older building. They more than make up for it with great room service, a modern feel, nice tv/bose wave radio and friendly staff. We never had a single problem with anyone and we used them constantly for directions, holding items, etc... Believe the hype on the beds, super comfortable. This was for our honeymoon, but I'd even stay there on business. I have a hard time believing some of these reviews go beyond anything other than the ego of the person writing them since they were so far off from our own experience there.

I had business in midtown and this is the perfect choice. Great room for one person. Location is really great!

The atmosphere was amazing. It's an old building and sandwiched in downtown New York City so the rooms are small and worn with love; but it was clean, the staff was amazing, the water was hot, and the romantic atmosphere was perfect for my husband and I. They have two bars/dining areas on site. We only had time to try one but it was fabulous; a trendy little spot with soft lighting and wonderful conversation pits to relax in. We had tickets to a show and dinner reservation at one of the top NY spot and the hotel was within EASY walking distance to both. It was easy to go out walking and find your way back again as the side of the hotel was right on Broadway; just look for the blue glowing building and your home. It is right in the middle of everything so you really get into the city but once you?re in your room you could be in the middle of nowhere!!! They put apples on the pillow instead of chocolates which was a nice touch. I would defiantly stay there again; however I probably wouldn't stay there with the kids.

The rooms are small but very clean and comfortable. The staff was extremeley courteous. We loved everything about our stay at Dream NYC. It was within walking distance of everthing great about NYC. Thanks for being there.

We just stayed one night. The room was small, but most NYC rooms are. The location was great. The staff was helpful. I enjoyed it.

Incredible value for the price. The room size was typical of a NYC hotel (not sure why so many reviewers complain about room size - you're in Manhattan; it's the standard and what are you doing in your room anyway? Get out and see the city) but exceptionally quiet and clean. Location can't be beat: walking distance to Central Park, Times Square, Fifth Avenue and easy access to all rubway lines. Would recommend you stay there before the price goes up, as it always does once the hotel gets better known. Staff was friendly enough.

The one big problem about this hotel is that the staff is EXTREMELY RUDE. We tried to going to the rooftop bar, but the staff working the door made us feel unwelcome and even talked about us when we were standing just a few feet away. The staff in the lobby made us feel like we weren't good enough to be there and barely paid attention to us when we checked in. The rooms are cramped, not worth the price, and the bathroom is almost too small to function. The only good thing about this hotel is that it is close to many different shops and attractions.

The rooms were clean and very modern. The staff was very helpful and the bar on the rooftop was fun.

We are the type of travelers that expect a nice clean room with ammenities. I, particularly, need to want to come back to the room I am staying in at the end of a day. At The Dream Hotel I had mixed feelings about wanting to come back. I felt the room was clean and functional but not inviting. The lobby appeared dirty but once upstairs the room was not. We had to change rooms due to fan noise and the front desk was accommodating. L'Occitane products in the bathroom was a nice touch. I guess the size of the room really surprised us. The bed (a full size) barely fit in it. It was very compact living for two people. Given the prices of hotel rooms in NYC I probably would go back but reluctantly. I would hope to find something more inviting in that price range but that is highly doubtful.

This is a nice, cool, modern hotel. I enjoyed my stay. The first night my internet and air conditioning did not work, and it was very hot. However, I alerted the staff and told them that they needed to be fixed or they would have to move me. They moved me the very next night to a room with a working internet. My room was nice and my bed was very comfortable. If you are a business traveler this is a nice hotels and centerally located. They left me an apple every day on my pillow which was a nice touch.

I have stayed at this property before, and each time attention to detail slips a bit. Housekeeping not replacing towels and amenities, room service tray left outside in the hall all day, not adhering to keeping the same towels (per their environmental savings policy. Their bar and lounge on the top floor makes for a very noisy top few floors, especially on the weekend, and the addition of any private parties there makes the noise pretty unbearable through the entire night. I would have expected the management to modify the room rate for this inconvenience. They did not.

If you want rude staff, hip-hop noise, and over priced rooms, by all means, stay at this hotel. Zero management skills! Will never stay at this Hotel chain again.

The only dreams I had here were night mares. Have stayerd ion fine hotels all over the world. This ranks up there with the worst! Don,t do it! The staff was rude. The room was dirty and stank. It was awful!

We loved it. It is close to many attractions & great restaurants (in the city - NYC -most everything is close!)Both bars are great with excellent service & awesome international guests. We stay at boutique hotels frequently & this is on the top of the list!

The room was tiny (enough for one double bed, that is literally it.). Don't stay on the 12th floor under the "lounge"...you can hear the music until they close at 4 am and then the people coming out drunk and ready to fight until about 5 am. In the hallway someone was inquiring about items missing from their room after the maid had been in there. Location was excellent and the restaurant downstairs was good but the waiter didn't know what some of the dishes contained. I wouldn't stay there for more than one night but if you can go elsewhere, I highly recommended you do that.

The DREAM is the perfect location for a visit to Manhattan being close to broadway,to great restaurants, and to the relaxed atmosphere of Central Park. The staff was very professional, the hotel clean and the room we had efficient though 'New York - tight'.
