Originally built in the 17th Century by the Chieftain of the Clan McNab as a hostelry for his fellow Clansmen travelling to the north. The Dreadnought McNab Clan Motto Dread Nought has remained an important landmark as well as retaining a distinctive character of its own. Callander is the gateway to the Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park, making it an ideal destination for a Scottish break. What are your breakfast options?
We do have a full breakfast menu in the hotel which consists of cereals, juice, fruit, porridge and a full breakfast.
What transport is available to get around?
There is public transport from Stirling to Callander which stops right outside the hotel. There is also a bus stop direct across from the hotel which has buses 10 to the hour which returns you to Stirling.
What can I do nearby?
The hotel does have entertainment throughout the year. We normally have entertainment on a Friday and Saturday night which would be disco/karaoke or singer. If we are busy we would also have entertainment on Tuesday and Wednesday. This would again be either a singer or an accordion player.

There are lots of attractions within driving distant of the hotel. The Safari Park is only 10 miles from the hotel and Stirling Castle is only 16 miles from the hotel. There are also a lot of walking areas near the hotel. Ben Ledi Hill is a very short drive from the hotel. At the back of the hotel is the "Crags" which is also a very good walk and the hotel is situated only a 5-minute walk from the hotel. The town also has many local shops which are all within walking distance.

We do not have internet in the hotel however there are a few local pubs near the hotel that do have free wi-fi.
Do you provide parking?
We do have some parking available at the hotel however if our car-park is full we there is a public car park only 2 seconds from the hotel.
