Awesome hotel for the price. Class A service and attention to detail. Great beach location and access to many shops along Collins Ave. Would stay there again guaranteed. My only dislike is the $24.00 a day charge for parking. I had just stayed at the Hyatt Reort and Vacation Club previous to this stay and there was no parking fee. If there is a need for this parking fee include in the price.

Comfortable, spacious rooms, terrific view, excellent amenities and helpful staff. TV's had VHS instead of DVD players. This is a superior hotel: comfortable, clean, and spacious suites; breathtaking ocean views; plenty of amenities; helpful, responsive, and courteous staff; good location with many stores and restaurants nearby. I would definitely return.

This hotel definately needs to be updated. The first room we had did not have a balcony, windows would not open up, and room was dreary and drapes were broke. When asked to switch rooms the manager on site lied to me and told me no more rooms avail. and were all reserved for the owners. When hubby asked later they said no problem at all. Hmmmm. We had our documents stating breakfast included. Doubletree would NOT honor it. When paying that kind of money what is a breakfast for 2 adults and children? Nothing around except a Denny's across the street, so you definately need a car. At the beach you have to pay $$ to use a chair. I would never stay there again!

My husband and I stayed her after our flight home was cancelled, we tried to stay at another hotel but left because it was so gross. When we walked into the Doubletree at 2:30 am they were so friendly and helpful. The room was clean and large, the view was beautiful, we only stayed 1 night but we explored the hotel before we left the next morning and we feel in love and said we want to bring our kids back because of the pool and the beach being right there. The staff was so nice and helpful!!!

This was a great bargain. We chose the King Suite option (for an addtional $37 per night) and got a HUGE apartment, about 800 sq ft, I would say, with a balcony view overlooking the ocean, full kitchen, washer/dryter. Great housekeeping, although the hotel in general is in need of a little sprucing up. It's right on the beach. A delightful place to stay, especially for the money

Great room, great view, great staff, great beach, great location, washer/dryer with room. Outdated furniture, small pool, only one pool, too much to rent beach chairs. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. We got a 2 BR suite with a full kitchen for half the price of the Westin Diplomat down the street where my husband's conference was. The staff was great, our view was terrific, and we were able to save money by eating in our kitchen. It was great being able to do laundry before coming home, since we had two small kids with us. Our view was comparable to those we have had in the Caribbean. We would absolutely recommend this hotel to others and hope to go back someday. It was a great hotel for the price!

Although I love kids, I don't have any of my own and I found that when my husband & I stayed here, we were lucky to have a quiet room on the "South Side", thankfully the construction was finished but the view we paid for was very limited. And the pool & jacuzzi was filled with "screaming kids". Again, I really like kids but my husband & I just came off a very nice cruise to celebrate our 20th Anniversary and would have liked to have had a chance to enjoy the hotel and it's facilities, but it was impossible with all the kids "taking over". Plus, you really didn't want to enter the jacuzzi because it looked gross after 10 (really young) kids had been in it for an hour, unsupervised as well. On the positive side, yes, the staff was excellent, the room very big & clean and being right on the beach made it all worth it. Would I stay there again??? Probably not, I think I would prefer something more "adult oriented". But if you have kids, it's the perfect place, althought I don't think having kids in a 27 story building is very smart. But that's just my opinion.

Doubletree was very nice and in a nice location. The pool was a little small, but the ocean is right there and the beach is superb. Great for long walks. Mattresses were very comfortable.

Location is good. Room not clean. Sticky floor, cockroach in Kitchen. We were given the excuse that our room was not clean when we arrived on 04-28-08 because the resort was extremely busy the week before. We had a toilet flood the room and were not moved immediately by front desk. Not a great experience.

The staff was wonderful. Any requests for serivce were handled very quickly and there was always a follow-up call to ensure that I was satisified. Request a north-side room to get a view of the beach. The only parking available is valet service at $22.00 per day. A little steep when you add in tipping the valets to get your vehicle. The housekeeping staff was WONDERFUL. Our room was cleaned before noon each day and the staff somehow got rid of all the sand we brought in from the beach. Our room had a refrigerator, a microwave and a balcony. The carpet was worn in places and the grouting job in the bathroom was sloppy, but the room was clean. I highly recommend this facility and I will stay there again on my next visit. Tip: There is a Walgreens Drug Store right across the street. This store has food, breakfast items and other beach type needs. There is also a Denny's across the street.

My husband and I spent two days here after our cruise and we really loved this hotel. The front desk staff were so kind and helpful. When we saw how huge our room was we were so suprised. It was really helpful that our suite had a washer and dryer. I suggest that the hotel have a free breakfast in the morning and do away with that terrible over priced restaurant. Also they need to have an airport shuttle.

Leaving it is what I enjoyed. It is old; the pool is way too small for size of hotel. I would never stay here again, not until rooms were updated, and pool made much bigger. Better restaurant needs to be put in, Also room service was horrible.

i would recommend a suite, it was huge, i requested north side ahead of time and did not get it, there is construction on the south side and you hear and see it all day long, they should adjust their price because of that, however the beach is right there and it is a nice place for families. complaint would be construction and paying for parking 20 a night. I think most hotels do that though.

Location, cleanliness, excellent customer service. The hotel's lobby was gorgeous but the rooms needed to be upgraded a little. Old carpeting, peeling wallpaper in the bathroom, out dated kitchen.

How they can price the 1 BR suites on the south side vs north side the same is insane. The south side faces a high rise under construction. Aside from the noise (starting early), the ""panoramic view of Sunny Isles Beach"" is long gone. The north side suites have a great view. The two sides shouldn't be the same price - so watch out! If you end up on the south side, you will be disappointed.

Great location on the water, friendly staff. Building next door under construction, that woke us up earlier than we wanted to be up. Great hotel in a great location with a wonderful staff. We are coming back again.

I loved the view of the ocean from the lobby areas, as well as what a view to wake up to! The staff here was very helpful & friendly. NA This hotel was beautiful! The ocean views throughout the property from virtually every location were spectacular! The staff here is amazing, too. I can't wait to go back!

"The rooms are indeed nice and well equipped but that's about it. This is not a full service hotel and has the atmosphere of a time share (which it probally is). We apid $* a night and the ""ocean view"" turned out to be a construction site, starting work at 6.30 in the morning. Pool area is small and continuous noice from construction. Not a good stay at all and no information was posted about the construction."
