Took a whirlwind trip to New York City for the first time. Hotel is located in a great location, close to many sight seeing attractions, but far enough away to be out of the crowds. Subway station was right at the corner for very easy access. Times Square, St. Patricks Cathedral, Central Park all within walking distance. Nice little eatery right next door and the best warm chocolate chip cookies when you check in. The room and bathroom were a little small for three adults, but for two nights it was okay. The beds were very comfortable and the tv was a nice flatscreen. The only complaint about the room was the temperature. The air did not work very well and the room was very warm and stuffy. We opened the window, didn't help much for the bed away from the window. Staff at the front desk during check in seemed a little frazzled. It was crowded and seemed to have too many bosses behind the main desk and not enough worker bees. Overall we had a good experience. Would probably try another hotel if I visited again, but would recommend and stay again. The bellman out front, was very friendly, professional, as well as entertaining as we waited for our airport shuttle. You could tell he likes his job and is good at it.

Excellent location with garage next door for /24 hrs. Nicely appointed room, not terribly big but very neatly set up with everything you needed. Nice linens. Good AC especially on a 96o day. Front desk very friendly and efficient and we even got toll house cookies! All this for a real bargain at incl. tax in NYC!

My wife has stayed at other Double Tree Hotels. This was my first visit and was very impressed with the friendly attention from the entire staff. All of our needs were met. The hotel's location was walking distance to several tourist sites. We also took advantage of the subway corner location to travel to other sites.

I love Doubletree cookies! Used soap and bags of used linens in the hallway at 10pm. This location was not up to my Doubletree standards at all! We got to the room and when I entered the bathroom the soap had already been used and the box discarded. Worse was that we just walked a long corridor filled with 33 gallon or larger clear bags with soiled linens. It made me think there was a swine flu cleaning! I have always loved Doubletrees but this must be a bad franchise.

Nice, very spacious, clean rooms. Good location, good prices for this time of the year (don't know if this is a reflection of the current economic conditions). Tough luck to get into an elevator at noon when check-in/check-out takes place, ended up taking the stairs many times. Luckily we stayed on 6th floor.

We enjoyed our stay. The location was super close to everything that any tourist may want to see. We got on and off the subway with no problem, we rode the bus and walked to Central Park and Times Square. The beds were comfortable and the staff was always there to help. Next door is a nice cafe and all around the block their are places to eat if you choice to stay close. The area is well lite and the NYC police is always looking out for the safety of it's New York tourist. My only gripe would be the mildew smell in the bathroom but I guess that's part of the New York problem with mold. We would definitely stay here again.

This hotel was very reasonable priced (for the area!) and within minutes' walk of all the Manhattan attractions. I recommend that budget-minded travelers consider this option.

The room was spacious, clean and quiet, which for a New York central location is somewhat of a miracle. The beds were very confortable. The staff was courteous and helpful, but the reception had the atmosphere of the information desk at Grand Central station. The room was not ready at 3pm. The bathroom however was disappointing. The bathtub had a dingy appearance and I would not have showererd without the rubber matt that housekeeping provided. A sore point ...

This place has a great location and that's it.They do not have any a/c or heat regulation.We were told by the staff to just open the window.My wife and I stayed sick and exhausted because of the heat and cold air mix ..nevermind the street noise.We were miserable!!! NEVER AGAIN. Also the hotel charges $14.00 per day for internet. Go somewhere else or prepare to have sore throat and sleepless nights.

I never right reviews for hotels or anything like that, but I really felt like I should offer the great feedback that this hotel deserves. I stayed at the Doubletree overnight, and I have to say that it was a great experience, from check-in to check-out. The staff was friendly, the accommodations were clean, and the food was excellent. The decor was also really beautiful. Overall, I would definitely say that I got my money's worth, and I would definitely recommend staying at this hotel.

I had heard so much about the Choc Chips cookies and was disappointed that I never saw them. We were only there for one night, so we did not use many of the amenities. There was nothing within walking distance of the hotel, but that was ok. A coffee pot would have been nice.

I chose this hotel because of its 4* rating, and its affiliation with Hilton. However, this is no 4* hotel. The wallpaper was peeling both in the bathroom and bedroom, the bathtub caulk was loose and mildewed. When someone sat at the desk n you had to go over the bed to pass by. The bed was comfortable enough, but a bit saggy. The hall carpet was worn and dirty. The price included breakfast, which was fine, and a little unusual in NY. All in all, I would find another place for the next trip.

I was very pleased with this hotel. I found the front desk people to be so kind due to my parents are seniors and needed to get to the room and put there luggage away and just rest before we went to a broadway show. We felt eveyone was so kind and they were just amazing. The reviews that I read helped me with an insight on staying. I found that the deli next door was wonderful. The food was fantastic and the price was right. The only thing is the cashier and help was not friendly at all but, who cares the food was great. This is defiantly a place to stay in the future. The only issue I was disapponted with is they charged me for three people to stay in a two bed room.
