Very convenient, staff were very accommodating. Carpet was stained in several areas but didn't bother me too much. Parking lot too small and spaces too narrow for larger SUV. This was a great experience. The hotel was very convenient, clean and beautiful. The bathroom counter-top was amazing. Bed was very comfortable and linens were very crisp and clean. Overall experience was GREAT.

I didn't get the reservation as confirmed. I was confirmed a smoking room with a King bed...got a non smoking room with 2 doubles. The front desk people seemed confused and had difficulty processing my reservation at all. A service person dropped a glass and it broke on the hall tile on Friday night...shards were still there on Sunday. The rooms were clean and the hotel is lovely. Restaurant on premisis is excellent..for dinner. Although the bartender didn't show up his substitute made every effort to accomodate us...even though she didn't know how to make a cosmo or a manhattan. The breakfast buffet was another story...hard as a rock bacon and sausage,watery eggs, tasteless grits, horrendous coffee. Last year it was wonderful. It has gone down hill in one year although the price went up by almost ***night and I'm not sure if I would go back next year

The Double Tree is a great hotel and the staff goes out of their way to make you comfortable.There was a great deal of road contruction on the Hwy from NY and Travis on the front desk helped guide me in with directions right to the front door. He is a really great person and very good at his job. The room was very large and very nice. I will definitely stay here again.

My Boyfriend and I were going to a concert in Philly but didn't want to stay directly in the city. The hotel was about half hour away from Lincoln Field, so it was a perfect distance. The hotel was great and there were a lot of choices for food and things to do. The only down falls were that we had a corner room and it was a little small. We didn't mind b/c we didn't spend a lot of time in the room. Another thing was that the bathroom door kept getting stuck when you closed it. You had to pull really hard to get it back open. And lastly if you like a cold room you should know that you and only lower the temp to 65 degrees. Other than those small things the hotel was great. We did the breakfast buffet both mornings that we were there. We would defiantly stay here again.

At $$$ a nite you'd expect better proximity not to mention accomodations. While the room was clean and the hotel was nice, I can't justify spending that kind of money for a one nite business trip but there were lots of foreigners who seemed happy to spend the $$$. On the plus side you get a flat screen TV w/ lots of channels. The bed was very comfortable and the A/C was ice cold. The restraurant was solid but the menu choice were few. Again, nothing to complain about just not worth the $$$.

Staff was wonderful and helpful. Restaurant was fine and hours fit into our plans. Rooms were clean and outlets were very accessible for recharging phones and computers. Location was good, easy to find and close to a variety of dining places.

I prepaid for a king room with a special bedding package. I was told I could arrive late because I had prepaid. When I arrived all they had left was a handicapped room without the package I had paid for. When I complained they said the didn't have any other rooms. What ever happened to "reservations". If I paid for a room, they should have saved it for me. Very, very dissapointed.

A group of us stayed at the Doubletree in Wilmington during a friends tour of Philadelphia, the King Tut exhibit at the Franklin Institute and other historic sites in the area including Valley Forge, PA and Winterthur Museum in Winthertur, DE.The hotel was wonderful for the price. The rooms we stayed in were recently upgraded. They were clean, decorated nicely, and had a wonderful selection of complimentary Neutrogenia products in the bathroom. The bathroom was very spacious and clean.We also received a warm oatmeal chocolate chip cookie when we checked in.Overall, a great experience for the price!!!

Convenient. Room was by kitchen - kitchen smells. This is an adequate hotel if you want a place to relax after sightseeing all day. The bathrooms are clean, no tub - shower which was fine with us. We were on the lobby floor so there was no view from the window other than the rooftop of the hotel extension. I feel that they have Priceline rooms and we received one.

We arrived late and tired from a long ride, when we checked in, we were given warm & delicious chocolate chip cookies. The room was very clean and the beds had wonderful down comforter on them. The next morning, we went to the restaurant for a tasty buffet breakfast, more than just a quick waffle and cereal. The price was very reasonable and our family would definitely stay here again.

Don't ever stay in room 426. Right across from elevator. Next to ice machine. Air conditioner ran all night and never got cool. Took hours to get a refrigerator. Bed could have been a "sweet dream" bed but could never go to sleep due to all of the noise, temp, etc. Starting at 9 a.m. and every hour thereafter until we checked out (3 times), an employee knocked on our door for a "room check" - even though we informed him we wouldn't be leaving until after 11 a.m.What a nightmare. When I informed the manager of the issues, he didn't seem the least bit concerned. "Sorry you weren't happy." was his reply.

You have to love a hotel that gives you a warm chocolate chip cookie upon check in! The staff is friendly and pleasant. My room was clean and comfortable. The bed linens were immaculate, and the mattress can always be counted on to be comfy at a Doubletree. The bathroom is roomy with plenty of counter space. There was a comfortable chair for reading and a desk area. My only quibble is that the Doubletree has started charging for internet access, which seems strange when many other hotels of lesser caliber can provide it for free. My recommendation is to go east on 202 to either Barnes & Noble or Borders, where internet access can be had for much less. Despite this drawback, I would certainly return to the Doubletree for future visits.

Nice, new and pleasantly surprised. Room was a little small, but overall great. Very comfortable and nice, from the staff upon a very late arrival to the room.

The Doubletree Hotel Wilmington was not as clean I expected. The shower didn't look clean based on the fact that it had been previously remodeled and there was dried putty on the shower floor and shower head. It didn't have the fresh smell that a hotel room should have after it has been cleaned. The bathroom floor had not been cleaned because there were dried stains and hair on it. There was also hair from the previous guest on the sheets. I'm glad I only stayed for one night. The one plus was that I got a shuttle ride to the train station.
