this hotel is located in a business district. It is easy to get to downtown tampa, St Petersburg or Clearwater.

I made my reservation solely on proximity to the airport and my past experience at a DoubleTree Suites Hotel in the Chicago area. There is a reason that the only reviews are negative. I made the mistake of not reading them before making my plans. The room was not ready for over an hour after check-in time. The restaurant food and service was awful, they didn't even have the items on the menu available. The fitness equipment was in poor repair and unusable, the game room was locked and the wireless internet accessibility comes at a price. Do not make the mistake I did, stay anywhere else.

Very nice hotel. The staff was helpful, room service was great, housekeeping cleaned up wonderfully and the pool was a blast. The location was great being close to everything.

Cookies upon arrival; bed pillows and sheets. Excellent front desk staff all shifts. Hotel clean, FREE internet service in Business center. Warm cookies available at front counter throughout our stay-just ask! Excellent treatment as customers. Hotel eating venues excellent and not expensive. Plenty of towels and bed was out of this world. Free and easy self parking. Hotel had recent face lift of rooms and public areas.

1) 5 min after our supposed to be 3 but 4 o'clock check-in they knocked on the door to clean our room.2) Pool was being resurfaced and they didn't tell us when we booked3) Put us in a handicapped room with no tub to give our 1 1/2 yr old a bath4) shower head that was detachable would not attach to the wall so we had to hold it up while showering5)asked for a shuttle to a restaurant...no problem...called for a ride back and they said 20 min...got picked up 1 1/2 hours later6) toilet overflowed7) cable was reg. TV with good reception plus HBO (about 20 chanels)8) out of date rooms

Had to wait for over an hour for the "Free" shuttle and I was on the phone with the hotel calling for the shuttle when I saw him drive away so he could have quickly turned around. Stuck me in a room next to a busy highway. Will not stay here again and most likely will not utilize Orbitz due to a inflexible cancellation policy. Things come up and trips can be cancelled or delayed so I do not see the value of using your services. I travel at least twice a month and will be back in Tampa next month, but will not stay at the Doubletree since there are many quality choices in the immediate area.

Rooms. Check in times was too late. Good price for what u get. Can improve on morning coffee etc. Marina side of hotel is quieter, better views.

Great Staff - We had a problem with the room key, and it was promptly fixed. Then we had a problem with the remote and it was promptly remedied. Staff was very pleasant and accomodating. Comfort- Beds/bedding was outstanding. We may order off of a bedding catalog they have online! Location - Perfect for what we needed...near downtown, near the airport, etc. Only issue was the door had gaps all around it, which allowed noise from the hallway to easily be heard as people walked/talked by the room.

The rooms are disgusting and smell like basements. The limited roomservice and restaurants dont open early enough for business travellers. The gym equipment is unsafe. My room was not cleaned by 4pm, in fact they started to clean it and stopped half way through.. so it was dirtier than when I left it. Few parking spaces available after dark. DONT STAY HERE.

Good value for the money. Nice lounge, restaurant, outdoor pool, workout room. Walls were a little thin and there was a lot of activity. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Located close to Tampa Int Airport and to I-275 which goes everywhere.

Location, check-in went smoothly. Hotel appeared good however my room was on the ground Laval, was un renovated and very noisy.

My friends and I stayed here for the Outback Bowl this year; The location of the hotel and rooms were great however the barstaff was horrible; they were rude and the service was terrible considering how much money we spent in a bar that on any other night(s) is lucky to see 2 people the entire evening. Go Penn State!!

This was a last minute booking because of an early flight out of Tampa. Price was reasonable. Arrangents were smooth, hotel was clean and location was perfect. We would stay and recommend this hotel again.

The hotel was very convenient to shopping, airport and restaurants. The breakfast area was under construction! I am frequent traveler and I think that this hotel was very convenient. The staff was very nice and friendly. The hotel was very clean.

My experience was cozy. There was renovation going on, but my room was okay. I didn't like the fact that I couldn't totally control the air condition and it had a moldy smell when I entered. As I settled in, the smell improved. All in all, I had a good stay. Once the renovation is over, I believe the hotel will be in great shape.
