I had to park in front of the "No Parking" sign before check in because all the parking lots are gated and you can get in unless you have a guest card. Good clean room. I did not know they were charging $12 for parking untill I got there. $12 for parking in Florida, that is crazy. They were having a staff meeting when I was ready to check-out, 8 in the morning, when everyone who is on a business trip is checking out.

En excellent place to stay when visiting Universal Studios. Very good value for the money.

My boyfriend and I selected a room with a view of Universal Studios, but we didn't get a view. First of all Universal Studios is a little too far away to have a good view of it. The pictures are a little deceiving about the view. The room we stayed in was very clean and the beds were sooo comfortable! They do charge you for just about everything they can though: parking, wi-fi and use of the computers in the lobby. I was also shocked when the charged me a $250 incidentals deposit when we checked in. One of the good things though, since we didn't rent a car, was the complimentary shuttles to Sea World and Aquatica. Great location! We were just a 15 minute walk from CityWalk a great area with plenty of restaurants and fun activities, I highly recommend Latin Quarter great food, decor, and service. We were also just a short walk from Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure. The pool was large and beautiful. Overall I was happy with the hotel and location and I definitely want to go back someday.

Beautifully refurbished interiors with Starbuucks coffee shop. I would have preferred not to pay $ 12 - $ 16 extra for parking each night. Beautiful recently refurbished and decorated hotel, clean, friendly staff, good restaurant, Starbucks coffee shop and free shuttle to Universal Studios which is directly across the street. We paid $ 16.00 per night for valet parking but we didn't have to pay for parking at Universal Studios which balances out the expense. We recommend this hotel.

We were first given a handicap room where the door wouldn't close right away and the shower was a wheel in type and water would be all over the floor. I requested a room change and they were very accommodating and found us a different room. Hotel staff were pleasant. They are in the midst of building a new Hilton chain and were kind of pushy to get you to sit through a presentation for discounted tickets. We walked to Universal's City Walk and used the I-Trolly to get to SeaWorld, this was very convienient. TGIF resturant is right across the street. Would visit again.

This was probably one of the worst hotels that I have ever stayed in... The pictures are not from this hotel. The only good thing about it was that it was quiet. It had a dirty feel to it. The hallways felt like 100 degrees. The only thing that we enjoyed was dinner at the Raw Bar. Our waitress was great and friendly. One of the hotel persons left us a message trying to sell a vacation to us but she cut off in the middle of the message and starting cussing. The parking was awful... A pain! Not worth the money at all....

The hotel was nice and conveniently located the walk to Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure is less than a mile and a gorgeous walk at that. The staff was pleasant and helpful. Especially the onsite Avis Car Rental we had not originally rented a car but when we decided to rent one for a couple days it was so easy and convenient. We had some minor issues coffee pot in room did not work and neither did the refrigerator however, the staff switched them out and the replacements worked fine. My one biggest complaint is that there is no complimentary shuttle from the airport, and when I called I was told to take a shuttle that would have cost $27 per person which - if traveling with more than one person costs more than a taxi at about $50. I just think with an extended stay of more than a couple nights should include transportation to and from the airport.

Pro's vs. Con's of our two night stay: Pro's: -Close proximity to Universal Studios -Comfy bedding & nice towels -Large rooms w/refrigerator and flat screen TV's. -Walls seem to be soundproof -Nice view from windows -Starbucks in Lobby -Free shuttle to Universal -Nice pool w/poolside bar and hot tub Con's: -Maid service did not come. We were out from 10am to 4pm, when we got back at 4pm the maid was on the room next to us. We wanted some privacy to get ready for dinner, figuring the maid would come back after we left. Nope, she skipped our room completely. -Loud air conditioning unit -Room felt damp and muggy because of the air conditioning. Towels didn't dry and the sheets felt damp, not crisp. -Parking is 12 dollars a day when it should be free for hotel guests. Since there is a huge conference center attached, the parking area gets pretty packed. -Hotel was extremely busy with groups and lots of people just milling around. -Navigating the parking area is a big pain....you have to drive through the valet area where people stop to get out in order to get through to the lot. Overall, i'd say this hotel is good for a short vacation or business trip. I would not stay longer than a weekend in the future.

The linens were high quality and the bed comfortable. There was a $12 per night charge for parking. It requires a room key to exit even after check out and I was not informed about this. I stayed in this hotel around 1995 or so when it was a Ramada Inn. Double tree had renovated the rooms but I would not consider it a 3.5 star accommodation. The food court was not attractive, the reflection pool dirty, and the building is just an older building. I was pleasantly surprised at the room, in particular a very comfortable bed and high quality linens. It was very clean.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Double Tree Hotel in Orlando by Universal Theme Parks, the Room was clean, modern and roomy. Hotel had affordable restraunts, cofee shop and gift store, front desk was very pleasant and helpful with any questions that we had, the only thing we did not like was the charge of * a day for parking, I feel if you are staying at the hotel they should not charge for parking, other than that we had a great experience and I would definately recommend this hotel to anyone.

Hotel staff was very friendly.Superfast check-in/out.We felt our AC was not working as strong during the night and the hotel staff gave us coupons for free buffet breakfast at the hotel restaurant to make up, as it was too late in the night when we called to have someone come up and look at it. Hotel located a short walk from Universal Resort. The pool isn't crowded and the rooms are very spacious.

Very centralized location. No free wireless. Extra charges for parking daily. The hotel would be an adequate jumping off point for the theme park visiting family, but not suited to many other travelers needs. The thirteen dollar per day wireless charge and twelve dollar per night parking fees that weren't part of the room rate just gave the place a truly cheap nickel and dime feeling.

They wanted money for everything!!! Twelve dollars a day to park your car. I expected to be charged for the air I was breathing. The room was no better than a Holiday Inn. Wide screen TV no HD.

This is a very good hotel in a great location. I have stayed here before and the service is always great. The problem I have is that I paid for a park view room and when I arrived I was told that there were no more park view rooms left. I was given a $25.00 food and beverage comp but that really didn't equal the difference in the cost of the room. Of course the hotel couldn't refund the difference because I paid through Orbitz so now I am just stuck. Great location though, close to eveything and Adventure Island is right accross the street. The $12.00 per night parking is what will keep me from staying there again and I am not sure if I will book through Orbitz again. That way, I will get my refund back.
