Date of Stay:
July, 2009
Our room was clean, the bed and pillows were comfortable, and it was close to the home of friends we were visiting so we were able to take a short nap before the dinner party. Would definitely stay again.

Beds werevery comfortable. Street access to the hotel was awkward. Nice hotel, close to major freeways and attractions, would definitely stay here again.

This place is right across from a large & busy mall which is very convenient. There are also a ton of eateries to choose from within a few blocks. The hotel has free Wi-Fi in the lobby area. I really like the place.

we went to the pool while we were there. but the pool wasnt heated. The room we got was kinda smelly, full of smoke smelling. but we really enjoyed the food we got from the room sevice, eventhough it was pricy. The front desk people seem not really nice. poker face the whole time.

Everyone seemed to be trying to make an effort to be the best. Would have liked a small refrigerator. Everyone appeared to be trying very hard to be as helpful and courteous as they could be. I would recommend this place. Room service food was outstanding, with service to match.

here is my review for the Doubletree Inn, Sacramento, California - date of travel November 19-26, 2007. please do not put in my name or email."I was travelling for medical reasons and booked the Doubletree because it was so close to many amenities, such as restaurants, and the mall was right across the street. Once we read the negative reviews, we were very apprehensive about our decision, but upon arrival, were pleasantly surprised. The rooms are large, the beds are very comfortable and the hotel was well maintained. Staff were friendly and maid service was great. The only downsides of this hotel are: one: the carpeting was very heavily stained and seemed out of place in an otherwise attractively furnished room, and two: someone else must have gotten a key to our room because one evening we came in to find a full bucket of ice sitting on our bathroom sink. Our patio door was unlocked and whoever had been in there, must have been surprised by us, because the ice hadn't even begun to melt. Security was called, we asked for a printout of times when our door was swiped with a key, which we never received. Security did agree that sometimes a key can open more than one room... ick... To summarize, I would stay there again and it was a pleasant stay.

Friendly, reasonable price, very clean. They did not change the towel for us. Great hotel after all. Definitely will go back.

When booking the hotel, I was not informed there was a night club on site. We were issued a room just above the night club with two children. We had to switch rooms at 10:00pm because we couldn't sleep from the loud pounding music and people outside the club. They debit our credit card for incidentals when they checked us in, without informing us. I then contacted the hotel manager when we returned home regarding the incidentals, and never received a call back. I would not recomment this hotel to anyone. Nor will I ever stay there again.

Nice hotel, nice pool, quiet surroundings. Located across from the Arden Way Mall which had plenty of shops and good restaurants.

Clean rooms/bathrooms. Too big and confusing to find my way around. Excellent hotel, great cookies at checking. With five large building wings it was hard to find my way around.

I've stayed here several times. The location across from Arden Mall and just off the freeway is great and it's easy to get downtown in 10 minutes. It's confusing to find your way around because of the hotel design. Also the pool was closed.

i was there for a convention. Hotel was large, spread out, nice pool area. Not close to airport for travelers - about $40 cab ride. Furniture was worn, carpet was stained. Things looked dirty and smelled bad in some rooms.

Friendly staff and convenient location. It could have been cleaner - especially the bathroom. This hotel was adequate for an overnight stay. Had I been traveling with my husband, I would want a more luxurious room it was just standard.

I haas a ""Club Level"" room for a recent short stay. Pros: location close to attractions. Cons: Can overlook the wear from age but not the lack of cleanliness, if not downright filthty. Nighclub located off lobby attracts mostly intoxicated locals, not hotel guests. Other Doubletree's have been fine, but this one's overall dirtiness will make me stay away from the entire brand.

We were checked in to a rm.(my husbands birthday) and there was a convention literally across the hall from our rm.(in several suites) which spilled out to the hallway,Noise, noise, noise.(nights of Columbus)The hotel had provided the group w/extra chairs to fill the groups suites I think there were 3 suites on our hall that were part of the "Nights of Columbus group".They had there banners and colors on display in the hallway too. This is not the fault of the group. When we asked to be moved out of the "convention"and have a suitable room we were told 1st nothing was available- we objected for 10 minutes then we were offered a down sized rm.w/ no compensation! Again we objected to this. We asked for the Mgr. and got the Security Dir-night Mgr. We expressed our distress w/ the situation and again got no where! I started calling Hilton Honors and Double Tree Customer Service to move up the complaint process and still it took me getting a HEADACHE plus 1 and 1/2 hours later before we were finally offered a room to move into that was comparable to what we had reversed and paid for. We NEVER got any apology or an I am sorry for the situation we put you in from the mgmt. the Customer Svc.people at the corporate offices were the ones who finally got the mgr.to move us. I travel a lot w/ family and weekly for work and have never experienced anything like this. It was truly the most horrible experience we have experienced. we will NEVER NEVER stay at a double tree again!!!! They have the worst customer service I have ever experienced. They broke the fire codes and room occupancy regs by selling suites to groups of people to have conventions in. This dangerous situation created all in the name of trying to make a buck! The convention group thinks they got a great deal however if an emergency happened it would have been impossible to evacuate all these people safely. Plus they compromised the other paying customers a atmosphere they were paying for. The management of the Double

Friendliness of staff. Room could use more lights. Very friendly staff. Just across from a nice shopping mall and close to good restaurants, so very convenient.

The Double Tree was in a great neighborhood, just off the freeway. The room was spacious with a desk and chair, and a sofa. I liked that the vanity area was separate from the bathroom area. It could have had a hair dryer, but the convenience of the shampoo and conditioner was wonderful! The hotel was across from Arden Fair Mall which has many restaurants and shops. The warm chocolate chip cookies on arrival was very welcoming!
