The hotel was less than 10 minutes to the convention center by taxi. The cabs were resonable. The hotel staff was great, the food in the restaurant was excellent and a good value. The beds were comfortable. The pool and whirlpool were clean. The only thing i would suggest is to put the pool in a less visual spot. I felt like i was in a fishbowl.

Good elevators, clean and friendly staff.

the room we stayed in was 90 degrees with no climate control and the staff refused to rectify the situation, saying that the hotel policy was to not turn on the A/C until april (Our stay was in March) . There was no window to open and they only agreed to give us a different room after I called Travelocity to complain.

Initially, we reserved in downtown Mpls, but the 1-800 lady messed up our reservation, so they recommended this location. I was more concerned about getting charged twice, which we did not. When we arrived at midnight, the front desk lady was very pleasant. We reserved a whirlpool room and loved it! The pool was clean, the bed was very comfortable. I gave it 4 stars because right next door was a couple that was going at it and we can hear NOT everything, but let's just say we heard the other couple. We paid 139 for the whirlpool room.

The Double Tree was very nice, the room was good sized, bigger than what I expected, with an extra lounge chair. The bath room was very nice, nice counter space and good tolietries provided. Good coffee as well - a very cool coffee maker in the room - conveinent for business travel.

When we walked into the lobby, we were greeted by very friendly and courteous people. All are questions were answered, very quickly when we had them. Enjoyed everything about our stay, the room was perfect size, the bed was very comfortable. All room services were the best!!! Will stay there again.

Hotel staff and the pool area are the strong points of this hotel. The location was also good if you don't want to be directly downtown but close enough to only be about five minutes away.

New hotel in good repair. Very uncomfortable beds & location.

The hotel itself was beautiful, the staff weren't as friendly as I expected from reading other reviews. I called them to ask about the pet deposit- they took my name and number and never called me back so I was surprised at the 15 non refundable fee. The pool is rather small as well as the business center. The beds were very comfortable and the warm coookie they give you at check in was delicious!! I called and asked for two towels- they brought four in about two minutes!! The food was very expensive as well as the delivery charge and the 18% tax on all purchaces. They don't advertise the hidden prices such as being charged a little for the morning papers *they say if you wish not to recieve them you can get some change back on your bill* and no where in the room did it say they charged 9.99 for internet access in the rooms. Overall I would stay here again, mostly for the fact that it's one of the few very nice hotels I've been to that allows pets!!!!

We arrived at this hotel about 10 pm. we were hoping to have a drink at the bar which clearly stated on the door that it was open until midnight, but we could see that the bartender had cleaned up and that there was nobody in the bar so he decided to close and he told us to go to the Fridays down the street. Everything else was O.K. but you seem to remember the bad things more than the good sometimes.

Comfortable rooms. No free internet in the room, no continental breakfast and no free coffee in the lobby.

Great Hotel! Just in for one night on a business trip and was very pleased. Of course the cookie at check-in is great and the person behind the counter was even better. Friendly, prompt, accurate service which I greatly appreciate. I travel a lot and it's the employees that make the difference between hotels. Rooms were great, LOVED the bed! Good decision going with pillow tip, a great bed makes all the difference.

Staying at the Minneapolis Park Place Doubletree Hotel has always been a most pleasant experience. The staff is efficient and responsive, and the restaurant is excellent. This hotel has recently been remodelled, and the quality of the rooms has improved 1000%. They used to be rather dark with inadequate lighting. The change is dramatic, from lighter-colored furniture to better fixtures. I have two suggestions: Please add apple juice as a choice to your overnight room service menu. Also, during typical check-in and check-out times, the front desk seems a little under staffed. Overall, a class act!

Liked that it had a pool, but water and air temperature in pool was too cool. Got woken up several times at night by voices in hallway walls not very sound proof. It's attractive and clean in a good location. Staff is friendly and helpful. Pool temperature was a little too cool to be family friendly. Hot tub was not very hot either. Voices in hallway woke us up several times at night which was very annoying.

No continental breakfast; seemed to be pretty stuffy. While the hotel seemed to be a good business hotel, I preferred the comfort and friendliness of the smaller hotels such as Comfort Inns and Suites.

My wife and I used to live in Minneapolis, but have been living in WI for the past 4 years. We get back to Minneapolis at least once a year to see friends and we stay at this hotel every time. We love the location of the hotel as it is close to friends, shopping, great restaurants, and downtown Minneapolis is only 7 minutes away. The hotel is very clean and the rooms are immaculate. The staff is always friendly and available. We've never had an issue while staying at this hotel, and we can't wait to our next visit. Oh yeah...the warm cookies upon check-in are awesome too!
