We arrived and everything was perfect. Fast check-in, ultra-clean rooms, excellent location. Loved the pool-side firepits next to the bar. We did have a minor issue with the the bathroom door sticking and the AC unit needed to be fixed. Maintenance was all over it and had both issues resolved within 15 mins of the call....

The location was great, right next to tram stop, restaurants, movie theater and shops. Parking is $14/day and the parking garage is very dark.

Amazing staff! Very friendly, yet professional. It was a very nice hotel, some things were a little dated, but overall elegant. The only problem we had was that during our stay only one elevator was working which really slowed the hotel traffic, especially in a hotel that size. Overall, our stay was wonderful, it was a great hotel with great location, really close to mall, near old town and beaches.

well our first problem was that we stayed during 4th of july so that on its self was not good......we were next to a room with children running and screaming. i don't even know how many kids they had. we don't have any kids so that didn't help set the mood. so my next issue was that my sheets were not clean and neither was the pillow with the welcome note, i just didn't appreciate that. i do have to say they were quick to clean that up while we were gone. we are not the type to complain about things but i really did appreciate the manager x for taking care of our stay and making sure that the rest of our stay was great, very friendly person he was. he really made the difference, and i would love to stay there again because of his effort to make it all better. ver convinient to find shops and food less than five miles, i could even say walking distance. not too romantic for our honeymoon getaway but worth the stay.

The old TV should be in a Museum. The tub took very long to drain after a shower due to gobs of hair stuck in it. Way overpriced! The place was almost vacant - others must already be in the know and are avoiding going there.

The hotel was very clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and the warm cookies were great. I will stay here again the next time I am in the area.

It is the HOTEL to stay in San Diego. Is super clean, lots of towels, great bathroom, amazing bed, huge room with everything you need and the BEST LOCATION. I didn't have a car, so I just walked a little and I got the trolley. I stop to Fashion Valley and 2 stops to IKEA and like 3 stops to down town. The pool, the gym, the service and the staff GREAT. From now on I only will stay here. The best choice you can make,

We stayed for three nights and slept very well. the bed was expectionally comfortable and the bedding really nice. our room overlooked the freeway, but was relatively quiet with the window shut. We had a room at the executive level, which included a very nice enhanced continential breakfast, but the attendant was a little too chatty - which itself was okay, but her subject matter was bordering on political, which was too much for our tastes. selection of food for enchanced breakfast was excellent for our simple but hearty tastes. our complaint with the downstairs dining for a late night dinner and drinks was way over priced with not a good selection, but our breakfast on last morning was quite good, with great service. Found much better lunch and dinner selections and fair bar prices at Trophey's in the Hazard Center, right outside the hotel door. next time, would request a fridge in room. we would stay here again, no question. used the trolley to travel to fashion valley mall (the next stop), with shopping and food selections. concierge was very helpful with driving instructions to take a driving tour of city.

Friendly and helpful staff. On my way out of town, the concierge gave me incorrect directions to rental place causing me to be late.

Was a nice hotel, not great, not bad. Wasn't as nice as other Doubletree hotels that I have stayed at, but nevertheless still a nice stay. A couple of items that should be known PRIOR to making a reservation is that there is a charge for parking, $15/day and if you require Internet in your hotel room, that would be another $12/day. So while the initial cost may be cheaper then other hotels, the additional costs start to add up quickly.

I stayed here for a conference at a group rate. I was originally put in a room close to the highway and asked to be moved. Front desk moved me a few rooms over, but still on the highway side. Another call happened to reach the manager, who put me in a great quiet room in the front of the hotel, opposite side from the highway. Rooms are spacious, clean, and modern with comfortable beds. Desk is a bit small and has a regular chair instead of an office chair. Didn't use the outdoor pool, but it looked nice. Bar has big screen televisions and a nice lounge area. Restaurant serves an ok lunch buffet. Room service is quick and serves good American fare. A 20% service fee is automatically added. Also has a nice gift/coffee shop in the lobby. Meeting rooms were pretty standard although the catering staff were inconsiderate to speakers, disrupting talks several times with conversations or clanging glasses, etc. There is a small shopping plaza next door. Good location if you have a car, just off Rte 163 and a quick drive from the San Diego Zoo. Self-parking garage is on the ground level next to the hotel with ample spaces - they recommend against parking in the free lot for the shopping mall as your car may be towed. Overall, I was very happy with this hotel and would stay here again.

Went to celebrate our anniversary. Picked this due to being near the trolley line so we didn't have to drive anywhere. Booked their romance package and couldn't have been happier. The staff was attentive the rooms were clean and nice. Comfortable bed, and wonderful champaigne and strawberries. Not to meniton if you book the executive floor you also get appitisers as well. Hated having to check out. The only thing I could say was not the best was the selection at night from the restraunt. Other than that the stay was wonderful will book again soon when we need a get away!

A friend of mine and I stayed here for our roadtrip to San Diego and loved it! The beds were unbelievably comfortable, the staff was very courteous and helpful. The location was perfect to the things that we wanted to do. When we decided not to drive, we asked the hotel staff about trolley or bus tickets/routes/destinations and they were able to answer all my questions and then suggest some places we might like. It's without saying that the next time we're in San Diego we are staying at this hotel once more...and another incentive: their delicious cookies you get when you check in!

Our room was clean and spacious. King size bed was comfortable, the bath towels were nice and large. The complimentary Wolfgang Puck coffee in the room was good. The staff in the lobby Bar were cheerful and the drinks were good. The location was good for us. We were in San Diego to attend the graduation for our son from San Diego State. The hotel was adjacent to a large mall with plenty of restaurants and shops.
