Arrived at 4 p.m. - still did not have our room ready. Didn't replace water bottles, had to ask, bad drywall in bathroom, stains on wallpaper, didn't clean our room each day of stay.

Location. Parking and not enough towels. The hotel was nice and has been through some renovations. My biggest complaint was parking and lack of towels left in room. The parking lot was full and they chained all the entrances off except one so it was just hard to get in and out of if you left at night. The room was missing an alarm clock and when we called they immediately brought one up. The AC worked very well. There were some stains on the carpet and on the wallpaper in the bathroom, but otherwise the room was great with super soft comfy beds and numerous pillows. Our floor(2nd) was very quiet and heard no noise from other rooms or in the hall.

The room was missing carpet base on the wall. The walls seemed to be paper thin, you could hear people in the hallway as if they were in the same room with you, very noisy and uncomfortable. The popcorn ceiling was scratched up badly. The overall room was basically the same quality you would find at a Motel 6. Not recommended for romantic getaways. Expected much more for the money.

The Doubletree was comfortable, rooms are large, good location, and felt very safe. Staff is friendly and helpful. Bed and pillows were comfortable.

Clean, great location. Renovation has limited parking; not that bad though.

Great location to Beale Street - Great beds, clean and very helpful staff. Would stay at this hotel if traveling to Memphis.

My husband and I stayed at the Memphis,Double Tree , located out of downtown and was very pleased with the friendliness and kindness of everyone. We did have a promblem with the latch part of the door locking us out two times plus when we first arrived it had to be jimmed . The room was very comfortable. The decore in the restroom really is out dated but still functional. The restraunt foods were excellent. We had steak for breakfast and that was one of the best we have eaten. I guess I should let you know this, there was a cigerett butt sitting in the same spot by the back door way the whole time we stayed, it actually became a joke to us. So I guess what I'm trying to say is take a good look at you hallways on sixth and first floor they need attention badly.

This hotel proved to be a very nice place for a romantic getaway. The room waslittle small. I was very impressed with the appearance and cleanliness of the hotel. The room was beautifully decorated and the housekeeping staff was very friendly and courteous. The restaurant (CAL'S) was reasonably priced. I enjoyed the breakfast buffet and the dinner options provided. I also appreciated that the hotel provides a complimentary airport shuttle.

The pool was excellent. The service was excellent. My kids absolutely loved the courtesy cookies distributed at check in by the super friendly staff. The complaints that I have are the beds aren't very comfortable and the bathroom in our room was disgusting and had urine and vomit on it.

The Doubletree Hotel room was not clean, with spots and tears throughout the carpet and additional stains on the chairs. The hot water did not work on the second day.

Comfortable and quiet room. Entry / exiting the property can be cumbersome depending upon the time of day. Nice clean hotel, with good restaurant offering a variety of choices for meals.

Stayed at the Doubletree for 2 nites. Great location for food and shopping and reasonable access to downtown. Nice size rooms with ok amenities. I was disappointed in the quality of the towels

"Hotel was nice, staff friendly, pool nice out of the way, and quite. Airport Shuttle good. Hotel very clean looking, and looks good from front."

Great Priceline price. Old, but seemed to be renovating. Cracked panels in roof caused a waterfall of rain in lobby. Too far off the Express way for me, but a great deal if no matter.

"When we arrived it was a no hassel check in. We enjoyed the facilities ""Cal's"" X was are bartender and he was the greatest! Made us feel at home. My girls enjoyed the pool. The rooms were big and comfortable! Will definitely stay again!"

Hotel needs some updating (carpet) and the halls could be cleaner. It is ok.

"Room was cold, had to turn the heat on high and leave for room to warm up. At check out time I just knew I was going to have to whip the girl at the front desk bc she had a serious tude. We were charged over $25 for breakfast and online it states complimentary breakfast. Not a bad place to stay but I wouldnt go back."

TV did not work, picture missing, shower handle broken. This room needed maintenance. I have stayed at this hotel many times in the past and been very satisfied until this last stay. The room I was given should not have been rented. Needed maintenance. I felt like I was given the poorest room in the hotel. I left similar feedback at the hotel.

Staff superlative - central safe location - room design unique and thoughtful. Comfortable and ample room, superlative attention to detail by front desk, great pool and workout room, will return happily upon my next visit to Memphis. My stay couldn't have been nicer nor better. There shouldn't be any whining about breakfast not being included in the room price - this just serves as another reason to go to one of Memphis' great breakfast houses (Google 10 best list/Memphis/breakfast). Central safe location in midtown made it super convenient for my tourist sightseeing agenda.
