Was a major improvement from last stay here. Not a 3 1/2 star hotel. There was a big improvement here. Much cleaner and more comfortable then our last stay here.
Date of Stay:

Cheap for the quality. Not the best staffed place in the world.

That the room wasn't hotter. Heat/air conditioner did not work. Not impressed.

Hotel had clean and quiet gym. Free Internet access. There was a pool although we didn't use it. Steak restaurant located at hotel. Limited in terms of other restaurants within walking distance.

Clean rooms, good bedding. No breakfast buffet on Sunday.

It was conveniently located and clean. Friendly staff. Nothing. This Doubletree Hotel is located on a major highway, convenient to many different locations. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable.

Easy access from the parking lot, fridge and microwave in room, chocolate chip cookies on arrival! Water damage and missing moldings on ceiling, no hot tub, pool room was cold, water was not that warm. We had a pleasant experience at Double tree, except for the fact that a large group took over the pool and were tailgating there. Their children were very rough in the pool, making it completely unenjoyable for us. We did not swim for long. Also, the pool room was so cold, that people who were not swimming were wearing coats. Our room had water damage on the ceiling and a lot of molding missing. Other than that, the staff was friendly, the restaurant was great and right downstairs. I also liked that there was a refrigerator, microwave and coffeemaker in the room. We were able to store our leftovers from dinner. We slept great. Checkout was easy.

The location on Rte 17 was great! The hotel provided everything we needed for our 1 night stay with an extremely comfortable bed with great linens.

Location! Its well worn and needs work. The location was good and the staff was friendly and that's about it.

Beds were very comfortable. Restaurant was good but not great. The hotel was convenient to Northern NJ and had a lot of options for food and other activities. The workout facility was good and clean. The beds were some of the best I've seen in any hotel.

The linens and bedding were subllime. The tub was chipped and bathroom quite small. No fan. I enjoyed certain aspects of this hotel and was disappointed in others. I enjoyed the extremely comfortable bed, crisp cotton linens, down comforter and down (hypoallergenic pillows). I slept like a dream! The room was adequate, with refrigerator and microwave, coffee and tea set-up and a TV. The bathroom was small and the toilet was in the way of the door, kind of cramped. the room size did not match my expectation of a Doubletree Hotel, nor did the overall hotel ambience and amenities. While all was clean, in no way did the hotel live up to other 3.5 star hotels in this area, nor come near to matching any other Doubletree hotel I have ever stayed at. The kind desk clerk, when I asked how long the hotel had been there, told me it used to be a Ramada and was changed to a doubletree. In name only, (plus room comforts), I believe. There was a pool, which I swam in with my young daughter. The odd thing is that the windows of the pool open up to a row of parking. thus, while it was dark outside, anyone in a car could sit in their car and peer in. There were several cars with lights on and engine running, just sitting there, and it felt odd, especially with the hotel along a busy highway. We felt a little exposed. The pool was nice otherwise and did not have an overwhelming chlorine smell. I thought there would have been a hot tub next to it, but no.

It was nicely decorated. Room was comfortable.

Bed and welcome, free WiFi; most excellent. Shower stall had mold. We were warmly welcomed, hot chocolate chip cookie even, the room was clean but the bath could have had better attention, based on the rest of the experience, and would imagine it was a simple oversight. Over all though was very nice. Would stay at a Double Tree again.

Nice location from the i-87, close to woodbury commons outlet and Manhattan. NJ train station is nearby.

It had a beautiful, clean heated indoor pool. The toilet leaked. The hotel was clean, comfortable and convenient. I would recommend it to my friends and family.

Great staff. Nice, clean rooms. Comfortable bed. Bathroom need updating. Highly recommended. Great value for the price! Close to Woodbury Common Outlets (15min drive), Palisade Center (15 minutes drive) and only 2 minute drive to train station where you can catch a roundtrip fare to NYC for only $11.00! Great location! Great staff! Rooms are clean and the beds are very comfortable!

Comfortable bed. All the furniture smelled like smoke. We arenot smokers, and bathroom is small.
Date of Stay:

Nothing. All my requests were denied until I was forced to go higher and higher. I wouldn't have complained if the hotel was a good quality hotel but it wasn't. The smell kept us up all night. The bathrooms had mold growing around the tub and in general the rooms weren't very clean. The halls had food trays left in them, and also smelled of cigarette smoke. I asked to be changed but they said they didn't have another room. In the next days we were given what they called non smoking rooms, but the smell came in though the bathroom vents. These new rooms also had mold in the bathrooms. I was guaranteed a 3 star hotel and this hotel by no means of that quality.
Date of Stay:
August, 2008
Excellent facilities, clean and borderline luxury. Confusion about the inclusion of a continental breakfast. This is an excellent and clean hotel, with comfortable rooms and good facilities like work out rooms and pools. I would definitely stay again if I was in the area.
