The hotel was only a short walk to the Capitol. They also had a shuttle service available that we didn't know about at first, but was great. They'd took us to a wonderful French restuarant (Le Chardonny) and picked us up again shortly after we called. The rooms were clean, beds very comfortable. Has a nice pool and bar/restaraunt.

Great place close to the Kohl Center, the location of the event we were attending. The room, bar and restaurant were all very nice as well.

My daughter and I stayed in your wonderful hotel during SOAR for UW-Madison! GREAT location! We also had a great view of the State Capital, which was beautiful at night! BEST OF ALL...we didn't have to worry about parking on campus!

The proximity to campus facilities, restaurants & entertainment. The bed was too soft. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. The staff was very good and professional. The hotel was clean and the pool & whirlpool area was nice.

This is actually a somewhat older property. The overall decor is very welcoming and everything about our room was very nice. It was quite roomy, with a very adequate bathroom, iron, ironing board, two-cup coffee maker, good cable TV, with added pay-per-view options, a nice workspace as well as an extra chair. I hooked up to the free wi-fi with ease. The workout room was very well-equipped and there was also a very spacious pool/jacuzzi room - and they both had tons of towels! But, with all that, possibly the best thing was the staff. Everyone was not only extremely pleasant but did everything they could to make us as comfortable as possible. This includes the people in the Badgerland Bar and Grill where we only had a couple of light breakfasts - but it seemed to have a great full menu, full bar, etc. The only thing I'd be a little concerned about is that we were there during the Christmas holiday when almost nobody was around. But I still heard some noise from other people in the hotel. It didn't seem really well sound-proofed. This place is just a couple of blocks off Madison's State Street and the Campus, so it's close to lots of what Madison has to offer.

I got 4+ star service. The food/bar was just adequate. I was amazed at the level of hospitality I received at this hotel. The staff was superb.

The Double Tree Hotel in Madison, WI is very close to the Kohl's Center. The rooms are adequate for 2 people. The beds are very comfortable and the bathrooms have been recently updated. We did not try the restaurant but it looked to be popular with the other guests. We would recommend this hotel.

Our plans included attending a Hockey game at the Cole Center and dining on State Street - couldn't have been better located. There was nothing we didn't like. The warm cookies are a nice touch. Such a convenient location to everything near the UW campus. Wonderful experience.

This is my 5th trip to Madison and the first time I've stayed in the Doubletree. I've stayed in both in-city hotels and b&bs and also a suburban outpost before. My husband was very comfortable, the complimentary van to the airport was a great convenience that I had not expected. The chair with hassock and the lighting were perfect for reading as I'm not a tv person.

Spacious, comfortable room, clean and modern. Good central location. Noisy; building seems designed to transmit sound and conversation as far as possible.

My daughter and I enjoyed our stay at the Madison Doubletree - we were there to visit the University of Wisconsin. The staff treated us with friendliness and professionalism. I can truthfully say, we have never had as pleasant an experience in any other hotel. The facility and our room were very nice, clean and quite comfortable. The beds and bed linens were great. But, what made our visit special was the staff...many of whom are students at the U of W. They were absolutely the best! The location was perfect for us with the U of W, shopping, and dining within walking distance or a short ride on the hotel shuttle.

I was pleased with the Double Tree from the first when the complimentary shuttle picked me up at the Airport, Friendly. Check in was easy. Accomadations were very good and due to the location I was able to walk were I needed to go. Nice

Close to the starting point of the marathon I was in. Inadequate parking! Nice hotel. Staff was efficient but not particularly friendly but to be fair I had no contact with them except at check-in. Parking was inadequate. The location is great because it is near central Madison and is within walking distance of tons of restaurants. The City of Madison taxes on the room were insane which is to be expected of a Democrat run city. Overall I would stay here again should I ever run the Madison Marathon again.

The bed was great! Very comfortable! Checkout time had just switched to 11 instead of noon. Great location on Madison Campus! Most comfortable bed I've slept on every more so than my own bed at home! Only downside is the price. There aren't many other options on campus.

The rooms were amazing!! Awesome beds with tons of pillows! The whirlpool was a little dirty but no biggie. The Howard Johnson Plaza Hotel was definitely more then I expected! The room was just amazing. 2 Queen size beds each with 5 pillows on them! The bathroom was large and the shower comfortable. The hotel also had an indoor pool and whirlpool which was awesome since the cold weather doesn't allow you to be swimming outside!

The room was absolutely first rate. Thursday morning wait for an elevator was excessive due to construction, remodeling workers. We totally enjoyed our stay and would do again. An excellent value.

Staff was great -- super friendly and helpful Kleenex and toilet paper were very rough & low-quality, which is bad because I had a cold. Loud repair work was begun on my floor at 10 a.m.
