The hotel's location is great for anyone who want to walk around downtown Lowell and see some of the oldest history in the US. The room was very clean and comfortable. The bed felt new and the sheets were very well cleaned. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who want to experience Lowell at a lower price.

Hotel accommodations were very clean and comfortable, and the staff was friendly. However, the dining room on Saturday evening was on a limited menu and out of several items on that menu due to a wedding at the hotel.

My best friend and I are avid road trippers and the DoubleTree is usually one of our favorite hotels to stay. Unfortunately, this hotel was very disappointing. First off the area is not as good as it appears to be. Not to say it wasnt safe, but it definitely wasnt picturesque as the pics show. Secondly, during our stay no cookies were available. The pool was decent but the hot tub was definitely not appealing and neither of us dared to step foot in it. As for the rooms, they were decent but not as clean as expected and the room key never worked. The staff was rude, and unhelpful. I asked for a remote replacement because ours didnt work and they never gave us one. We asked for a wake up call the next day and never recieved one. The power went out and not one hotel employee did or said anything to ease the situation. When we chekced out the employee was rude and didn't say nothing more than you have no extra charges on your bill. No apologies for the missing wake up call or the fact the power went out. As for the business center, be warned it is not free which was disappointing because most DoubleTrees I've been to have free internet. This hotel you needed a credit card and it was .49cents a minute. My friend and I decided this was one of the worst DoubleTree hotels, and definitely would not stay again. Hope this review was helpful.

My husband and I stayed at the Doubletree during the Christmas season and to our surprise, the hotel was peaceful and relaxing. Upon arrival, we received warm chocolate chip cookies, which was just what we needed after a loooong day with family. The room was very spacious, the bathroom was bigger than most, and the bed is THE MOST COMFORTABLE bed I've ever slept in! The lobby was a perfect area to relax and unwind with a cup of coffee. The room had an awesome coffee maker and includes to-go cups. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming, even on Christmas day. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and will search for Doubletree Hotels in our future travels.

Room size/ location for our son's graduation. Dirty and poor service lack of first aid. Would not recommend this hotel if you are expecting clean and crisp linen. My son cut his finger and there was nothing in the first aid cabinet. Went to the front desk and we were told that they had nothing at the front desk either. Room was not cleaned Saturday and when we asked the mad brought clean towels and we never saw her again.

Saturday morning room services was slow, order was incomplete--no strawberries for the pancakes with strawberries. when called they responded 'we are out of whipped cream' and eventually delivered syrup and some strawberries. no creamers for the coffee. The old breakfast tray sat in the hall all day and into late night Saturday night. Sunday was much better. The hall on the 5th floor was extemely noisy with guests even late into the night. Granted, we did not call to complain, but I wish we had.

Room size/ location for our son's graduation. Run down dirty had to ask for towels and maid service. While the hotel was close to the Tson gas center the quality was poor. Rooms run down and unclean. We left for our son's graduation at 9 am and returned at 3 pm There were no towels and the room had not been cleaned. After asking twice the maid finally brought us clean towels and we never saw her again. There was something on the chair and bedspread that looked like body fluid. We removed them from the room. We will not be returning to this hotel again.

My daughter and I spent a busy weekend in Lowell. The Doubletree was a great base of operation. The staff couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful. We will be back in a few months!

Close to highway. Dirty hallways. Rooms cleaned too late in the day.

The warm chocolate chip cookie you get at check-in. Bartender was not professional. Dirty bathroom in my room. The staff was OK, but they made you feel bad for them because they are closing this hotel in July. The bartender was very unprofessional. The grout in my shower was moldy and there were black hairs in the tub that did not belong to me. Other than that, the room was clean and the beds were comfy.

Friendly staff. Common areas run down. Run down workout room. I have stayed at this hotel many times in the last 5 years. It has been going down hill little by little over the last 2 years. Maid service spotty. Pool area not fixed in last 2 years.

Very helpful staff. The indoor pool was too HOT! Excellent facility; location not easy to find due to center-city one-way streets. Excellent breakfast buffet.

The front desk tried to fix the situation. Room was disgusting - 2nd room not much better. I checked in shortly after 3 pmcheck in time - told they hadn't reserved a non-smoking as requested (I have asthma). Room dirty, carpet not vacuumed - mirrors streaky and smelled of smoke. Called front desk and was told would be changed to another room. Approx. 30 minutes later - man showed at door and gave me key to room - no offer of assistance to move. Room was not restocked - 1 glass for room for 4, 1 coffee set up, 2 towels etc. Couldn't open window to get fresh air - was told windows sealed for my security. Finally a man came and unscrewed the window to allow approx. 6 inches of open window - isn't that against the fire laws? Lamps on night stands were missing turn nob's - just bare metal which gave shock. The clock was set an hour ahead and was unable to fix. Shall I go on?

Good location for our trip, half way between two destinations. The elevators were dis functional and the bathrooms were less than desirable. For the price we paid we would probably stay at the hotel again. The bathroom needed a makeover and the bed wasn't the best. Overall the hotel was acceptable.
