Lots of walking. Several trips into Manhatten for shopping, dining, and a show. Great trip! Jersey City/Hoboken area is very pleasant.

The Good News: Great location to NYC; 5-10 minute walk from Grove St. Station (cute neighborhood, pubs, coffee, food); Mall nearby; Easy transportation from Grove St. Station using PATH train (20 min. to World Trade Center); Easy to understand & follow subway directions; Hotel was beautiful, newly remodeled rooms, Comfy beds; Staff was polite & helpful. The Not So Good News: Travel website claimed that parking was free, but thanks to a previous review I realized that parking would be $20/day. Purchased non-refundable, so it was too late. After arriving, I realized that there were about 20 spaces available. Luckily, we traveled via train the entire time & didn't have to move the car anymore, parking was non-existant at night. Also, I felt that Wireless Internet was misrepresented. Travel website posted that WiFi was available, but failed to mention that it's free only in the lobby, and if you want it in your room there's an additional $13 a day charge. That's an additional $43 a day over a 3-day stay, and way more than I planned to spend. Otherwise, the hotel was comfortable and very secure.

I have just checked in. Chose this hotel due to good reviews. Staff is nice, room is clean & well appointed as advertised. HOWEVER-the valet parking is not optional-you must pay $20 p/nite to park. AND there is no wi-fi in rooms. Only in the lobby near the loud bar. Internet is available in rooms if you want to pay $12.95 for DSL on a short leash at the desk. The business center in the lobby charges for using the computer-you must swipe a credit card to activate it. I am astounded. This is a business hotel & they have the nerve to nickel dime their professional clientele. Screw the free cookie at check in. If I wanted a $*** room I'd go into the city. The desk clerk was apologetic & said they are considering making the business center free ( you mean like every other hotel?) I do not recommend this hotel until they change their ridiculous policies. My $*** room will be $*** now. Don't make my mistake.

One good thing about this hotel is the location. The hotel provides easy access to major transport lines within Jersey City and Manhattan with the PATH train and LRT practically just steps away. The rooms are clean and large and the staff friendly and accommodating especially [...] at the Front Desk. This hotel gives good value for your money.

The hotel is ideally located. The neighborhood is very clean and decorated beautifully. The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially X. He is so friendly and positive that he makes you feel like a long lost friend. Having never been to "the city" before, we were given DETAILED instructions on subways to take and what to look for. The guy is a real asset to the hotel!!!! Our room was even better than we expected. What a FANTASTIC time we had. Thank you!!

The hotel experience we had was one of the best. From the time we stepped foot in the hotel we were given a warm welcome and friendly service. I also think the warm cookies given to each guest once they check in is a very nice touch. Once we got up into the room I was taken aback, with all the amenities as well as the size of the room for the price. Thd only negative side was the construction going on, but they apologized numerous time with signs as well as online letting people know sorry for the inconvenience. The location was superb. Right across from the Newport Mall and the PATH train, and right next to the lightrail. This was one of the best little getaways I've had in a long time and we will definitely be back there. I would also like to put a little side note to the gentleman at the front desk named [...]. He is by far one of the friendliest people I have met. Whenever he was at the desk he greated us with a smile, gave us small talk and took the time to tell us about some of the sites. He deserves and award for the customer service that he gives because I know some of the people that come in the hotel probably are not as easy going as we were, yet his smile never left.

We stayed the weekend of July 4th. Our junior suite was very nice and spacious. We had a large living area, frig and microwave. There were 2 double beds and a huge bathroom. The view of NYC was spectacular, including the fireworks that reflected off the skyscraper next door. The only negative things noted were the following: the restaurant and the bar were closed on the 4th of July, and we did not know this when we booked our reservation. So we had to go out to eat, and found a Chili's next door which was great. We ate at Chil's both nights, however had to find it on our own.

Perfect location and great place. Parking was $20/day for guest, It could have been free. Hotel was clean, friendly staff. Except for the parking fees of 20$ even for guest's, but surely will recommend for friends.

We have stayed here before, but something must have changed (for the worse). The room stunk like a Vegas casino and the living room table was broken. The toilets flush very loudly so it is easy to track your neighbor's toiletry habits. One of three elevators was out of service and we got stuck in one of the other two. After a long wait for them to answer the intercom, they said they would "help us in a moment," certainly no urgency in their voice and no concern or apology. After another long wait we called the intercom again and there was no answer. We set off the alarm - no response. Finally the elevator reset itself and when we arrive in the lobby no one met us to see how we were or to offer a simple apology. I guess getting stuck is common place. We were very close to calling 911 due to the lack of response. It is a great location being walking distance to the PATH train station into NY, but if you come back after midnight (which is easy to do while in the city), be prepared for a very, very long wait. No, the trains do not run anywhere close to what is published. Their schedule says every 15-20 minutes after midnight, but It took us over an hour to get back to Jersey City. When these concerns were brought to the attention of the management, their reply was "I wish there was something we could do." How pathetic. I wish there was something they could have done as well. Our advice, stay clear - the management has obviously changed. If you are wiling to deal with the PATH trains, stay in Courtyard by Marriott or somewhere else.

Good location away from Manhattan but very easy to get the Path train to 34th Street. Also good place to catch the ferry to Ellis Isaland & Statue of Liberty - much less crowded than from Battery Park in Manhattan. Good location if flying into Newark - in theory only 20 minutes.

Central location, helpful staff, comfortable room. Construction next store created noise within the hotel. Hotel was excellent, but construction in the front of the hotel was noisy and created walkway problems. Otherwise a good experience.

We were in NJ for a wedding. The staff was very helpful in providing assistance and transportation to wedding venue. The catered food at one event was excellent, and the room was great. This is located conveniently within walking distance of food, the light rail and PATH train and a mall. Would definitely stay here again. The ONLY downfall is that there is no shuttle from the Newark airport and it does take three trains (Airtrain from terminal to rail station; NJ Transit to Newark Penn Station ($7.50 each one way) and the PATH (change trains at Journal Square, $1.50 each one way) from the airport , or you can take a taxi or a car service.

This hotel was great. Although, we were visiting New York, this was a great place to stay. Across the Hudson from Manhattan with great views of the city. NJ light rail system right behind the hotel and 2 blocks from the PATH system into NY. This made getting around very easy without the car. This hotel was very clean and the staff was more than helpful for a first time tourist. I highly recommend this hotel. We loved it.

Free cookies at check in, super huge rooms and comfortable beds. Overall this was a great hotel. Huge rooms, comfortable beds, a fridge, hair dryer and a pull out bed in addition to the king bed we got.
