Doubletree was a great place to stay. The bed was extremely comforable, and the room was very nice. The location was the perfect distance from our conference. Loved the cookies!

Courteous staff and beautiful facility. Great cookies! Minimal to no parking outside of valet service. Beautiful and very clean hotel. Staff was more than friendly from beginning to end. Room was perfect.

Top notch hotel. Stayed there weekly for over two years. Great, friendly staff. Rooms are large and clean. The Ambassador Suites are very nice. The hotel is quiet and conveniently located to the downtown area and the Buffalo Bayou hiking/jogging trail. Restaurant provides a nice selection of good food. Lobby bar is enjoyable with food service available there as well. Pillow-top beds are the most comfortable in downtown Houston. Fitness room is well equpped. Only negative is no pool. Hotel is also connected to the downtown Houston underground tunnel system. You can connect to several office buildings and shops and restaurants without ever venturing outdoors into the summer heat and humidity. The Doubletree is a great place to stay.

My husband and I stayed at the hotel on a Saturday night, so it was not full. The staff was extremelyfriendly and helpful, the hotel was very attractive and safe, and the rooms were very nice and comfortable. We would definitely stay there again.

The service at this hotel is exception, however the rooms have a 70's feel to it. The rooms need to be renovated. The carpets are a disgusting yellow color, the furniture is who knows how old. The feeling inside the room is just ok and a bit depressing. We were in the hotel room just to sleep. We stayed 4 nights, the last night there was heavy rain, we were on the 11th floor and the window was not fully sealed and wind could be heard gushing thru it, once the rain stopped the noise went away, only rained for about 5 minutes. Bottom line is we will not ever stay at this hotel again or recommend any to stay here or any other Doubletree hotel.

I loved the bed. The bed was very spacious and oh so comfortable. It was the best. The room provided everything I needed. I enjoyed my stay to the fullest and will go back again!

From the valet staff, to the front desk staff, to X the Concierge and his directions and recommendations; and, I don't think I've run into friendlier associates. Add them to a city central location and warm cookie upon arrival, and it was really hard to find fault with the hotel. Sure the only place to park at the hotel is to leave your car with the valet, but you can look past that, especially given the price you'd pay to park in downtown Houston anyway. The stay would have been perfect if high speed internet service was complimentary.

Hotel was clean. Staff nice. We could not find a swimming pool here.

I did not really enjoy it here, I had a ""room with a view"" of the roof of several buildings with a tiny little bit of green. The room could have been much better and I felt a little cramped. The air conditioning did not work well and the bathroom really needs a vent. Everything outside the room was really nice. They require paid valet. The dining was rather limited and expensive, but this is great access to the town for eating elsewhere.

The front desk. When I was sick and needed things theywould quickly send them up. Nothing. I was eager to stay at the Downtown Double tree in Houston. I normally stay at the Double tree suites near the Houston Galleria, but decided to stay at this location since it was closer to the event that I was going to. From the moment I checked in to my graciously appointed corner glass suite that gave me impeccable views of Houston's downtown skyline from up close to the moment I checked out 2 days later, the entire staff offered service with a smile and in a timely fashion. It was just what I had expected from the Double tree. I unfortunately had a major sinus infection and even sent people to the gift shop on the premises to purchase cold medicine when I was to ill to leave the room. I can't tell you how much I appreciated that gesture and I hope that knows how much of an asset to the Double Tree Downtown Houston location.

The room and bathroom were beautiful. The bed was very comfortable. The first time I slept all night in a hotel. Great for the price too.

The greeting with warm cookies was great. The hotel was beautiful and was the perfect place to go. It was romantic and yet not over the top. I would stay here again anytime.

Stayed here on business. All the staff were friendly and helpful. My room was nice (end of the top floor so it was mostly glass) but was a little ragged around the edges (chipped paint etc.) Never could get my room cool enough even though the airconditioner ran noisly all night.

Quiet and friendly. Very expensive to park a vehicle for the night. Nice and clean and quiet. I would stay there again.

The shuttle service was a wonderful feature and the valet fee was very reasonable for the area.

They give you a warm cookie at check in to welcome you. Nice touch! Nothing. The Downtown Houston Doubletree is a wonderful hotel. One of the best I've ever stayed in. You willnot be disappointed.

Fantastic room had two glass walls and great view. No warning about forced valet parking-Extra $13 per day + tips. I loved the room I was given. The end rooms are triangular in shape and two of the walls are glass. At night I left the curtains open and enjoyed the city lights. The staff was very friendly, even though I showed up a bit under dressed for a place this classy. My only disappointment was that I wasn't made aware that I had to pay an extra $13 a day (+ tips!) to park my car. Even so, this is now my first choice for when I stay downtown.
