This hotel is well located and in a fairly safe area if your biz has you on the west side or are visiting The Henry Ford(formerly Greenfield Village) and or the Rouge Plant tour. Also, don't miss the largest mosque in the western hemisphere just a mile west on Ford Road !

Very clean hotel. Fitness center treadmills were great. They even had headphones for the individual TV's attached to each treadmill. The restaurant was open till 11:00 which was nice since we arrived late, but the bar area was too close to the restaurant and it was smokey. Plenty of parking and we felt safe. The hotel had a map, but didn't have any information available for local sighseeing.

The Doubletree in dearborn is a great hotel for visitng both downtown Detroit events or the close by Ford Greenfield location. Adjecent to the Fairlane Center for shopping it is a great value with well done confortable modern rooms and all the amenities. The staff was very helpful and friendly.

Breakfast buffet, wireless, and ATM machine. Room heater had a noisy bearing. The hotel is very clean, hallways are nice and wide. The main lobby room has a waterfall in the center. Especially liked the enlarged photographs from the early days of the auto industry along the hallways, Henry Ford examining an electrical component for a new V8 engine, for example. Rooms are very nice size, clean, and quiet.

When we arrived, we did not have the fridge we ordered and there was no fitted sheet or blankets for the fold-out couch my granddaughter was to sleep on; also one of the room keys did not work. Room service was a little slow to respond, but they did seem to be quite busy, and they were very friendly when they did show up. The hotel itself was lovely; Neutrogena bath products were a nice touch. Beds quite comfortable, and it is very hard for me to find a comfortable bed due to a number of health problems. Security was very tight; you need your key card to get into side doors or to use the elevators or pool. Also, security patrols constantly. This is a good thing, in my opinion. Grill 39 was excellent! Will definitely seek out Doubletree Hotels for future trips!

Being winter time, the room was already warm. It didn't have a fridge in it. It was good to stay for a night or two and my wife enjoyed her stay there. I guest I was looking for a little more, more of what, I don't know, but I wasn't disappointed.

Easy on and off major highway. Great hotel for the price. Only bad thing was the hot tub was really small, only the size of about 2 bath tubs. Lots of restaurants close by.

Formerly the Holiday Inn Fairlane, I stayed here extensively from '94 to '01. After a few years break from Detroit I was disappointed not to find it online. Didn't know about the change of Ownership to DoubleTree. Good News! Still a solid home away from home. Clean, comfy, professional. You will recognize staff members from year to year - that speaks volumes... Excellent full breakfast buffet, or to order. Room service good for late night nachos & ice tea. Only two disappointments: Previously the best water fountain in Detroit found in the lobby. Alas, no more - has been removed. Also, the lounge/bar/game room has been converted to meeting rooms. Pity, this was a classy amenity. Home to some fond memories. Excellent dining within few blocks by car. The Detroit mega-streets just aren't pedestrian friendly, even if you are brave enough to hoof it in the evenings. One exception, Chili's in the out lot, just down the sidewalk. Not for the heartburn prone. Instead, try the Big Fish in Towne Center.

Slept great, clean and conformable, nothing I didn't like! The hotel was convenient , clean, very great staff. Security 24/7 and when awoke by par-tiers late in night they took care of that very quickly.Thank you very much.

The reception staff was very courteous. The location was somewhat out of the way. There were only a few restaurants in the area. Anyone looking for a reasonable hotel and doesn't mind being about 20 minutes away from downtown Detroit then the Doubletree is a good choice. There's ample parking and security is not a concern. The staff is friendly and helpful and I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Location was good for business travel, security was good in parking lot. Would probably not use for family vacation. Interior of hotel very nice, bed was very comfortable, problem with air conditioning upon arrival - waited 45 minutes for service person to fix it, but very pleasant repair person and front desk staff.

I liked the free fresh baked cookies we received. This hotel was really great. It was really clean. They had a coffee maker and hair drier and neutrogena soap and facial products.

The room was quiet, comfortable and very accomadating for our needs. The handicap bathroom neede a seat in the bathtub. Overall this hotel was very clean, friendly, and worked out well for our business needs.
